I’m so stoked for you that you’re feeling your spark. Having a new baby is all consuming and it take time to get in a groove especially when you’re inventing the groove. Gotta say that Miss Lucy gets more and more beautiful. Her smile could light up NRG Stadium and is she getting to taste solid food? Wow! So much progress!!!!

What a great feeling it is to be getting your spark back. With such a huge life change it is have a baby and one with special needs its no wonder its taken a bit to get back to yourself. It takes time to figure all these new things out with your first baby and all the things that go along with it. Thank you for sharing your world with us. We love Lucy and watching her grow and master he world. She is lucky to have you for her Mom. You are so blessed. Oh and all the costumes and the recreation photo were great!

Oh friend -- yes! I love that you're feeling like you're getting your spark back. My kiddo is just a few months younger than Lucy and I'm only just now starting to feel like my old self too -- and while we also had a NICU stay, it wasn't anything like what you experienced, so I can only imagine how lost in everything you've felt. SO GLAD to see you sparkle again!

I appreciate the houses that don't give out candy. One of my son's is a type 1 diabetic and we love to get little toys, etc. I put glow sticks, bubble wands, things like that in my candy box. Also, I know exactly what you mean. It took me years to get my spark back. It seemed as soon as I was getting a good footing, we would go through a new diagnosis. A new dramatic event to obsess about and learn everything and find doctors and programs... etc. It's been a few years since our last great event between both my boys, I'm getting there!

I get what you mean about the spark. Over the past couple years I had 2 surgeries with long recovery times, my dad has gotten terminally ill and I’ve had to do a lot to help out with that, plus I’m a mom. I kept just doing the bare minimum for myself to just get through the day. I finally said enough of feeling like I don’t deserve to feel good in my own skin. I’ve been walking under this dark cloud for so long and it’s like the sun finally came out. I do my makeup more often, wear perfume, got some new purses and cute clothes. The little things you do for yourself make you feel like you matter. Others loving you isn’t enough, you have to love yourself…and that takes more effort than just showering, eating and sleeping and repeating. We all need to feel good, even if it’s something small❤ things

The getting your spark talk is so real and raw I love it. My daughter is 27 months and this last couple weeks I feel the same, for me it was actually thinking about what I was wearing, not just a “I’ll just put these leggings and this tshirt on. Again.”

I hope you guys have fun down here in Orlando on your trip! Lucy will love Disney world! I believe they’ve started putting up some of the Christmas decorations already. If you need an activity to do indoors on a hot day outside of Disney property, Sea Life Orlando is a pretty good option. It’s not a super large aquarium, but it’s all indoors and my daughter loves it when we go. Happy travels! 💜

We all had so much fun and I hope those memories last. Waco Texas literally just lost the only psychiatric center in town, so I lost the only psychiatrist I’ve ever actually liked and understood what I was going through and didn’t just dismiss me because I was “young” it’s been a nightmare….
