Bumble (like the bee) because it's quite round, or Quasimodo because of the odd shoulder thruster. If you want to head towards bird names - you can call it the Vulture or the Eagle. You could call it the HorseFly - it flies, and you tend to be horse with various day-care diseases recently.

use a Gullwing form with your lift thrusters up high and thus clear of burning holes in what you are collecting. your primary cockpit lifter should have a sg medium cargo container or two for small bits like motors, computers, Grids & Power Cells. the big lifter can have all the big lift thrust and more cargo for general hauling when you are out and can GPS mark anything too big to fly home with. you built a Bubble = call it the Shadowblaster as a compliment to Shadow

A little suggestion for you reversing into things. Place a sensor at the back covering small area behind you, but above the floor. Detect any grids and engage sound block. Simple parking sensor. Maybe it will give you half second heads up before you bump into stuff, or engage alarm just after you hit something, which would add to the hilarity of situation. Just watched till the end... is that a return of... Bin Chicken?!

For that little flying Pod thing, do an EvE thing and keep the one pod and make it so it fits into a variety of vehicles as the cockpit. One Pod many vehicles.

I suggest calling the flyer the "Peep", although I gather that marshmallow Peeps aren't widely available in Australia.

The "Bee" and the "Hive". Also, consider having a merge block on the crane or the trailer as well to carry the Bee if you discover very large scrap that the Hive cannot handle. The Bee can piggy back ride home while you drive.

With the "vector thrusters" script and the 2 large atmo-s u could build a "V-22 osprey" like flying-machine that might just has enough lift to carry a car wreckage, or at least to carry a decent amount of cargo (i think when u did that "escape from Mars" scenario that plane only had 2 large for lift as well, and could fly with 8 loaded mediums, on that gravity). I simply use a "flying speed-bike" now for scouting, with 1 large battery, and have a hotbar set to turn off the reversing thruster, so it can just "drift" forwards, and its charge lasts a long time with only 3 small lifting thrusters.

I love this game, I just wish there was more “game” to this game. Add some Command and Conquer AI to an enemy NPC faction that starts with nothing like we do and builds a base and fleet over time to compete with the player, and this would be GOAT for me.

For wheels on the blocks I've found that having fairly high tyre pressure (70%) makes for better handling whereas for voxels, lower pressures are favoured. Give it a test and see what you think. 👍

With the enhanced grinder, I use 2 grinders 1 top tier grinder and 1 basic grinder that I use exclusively for batteries.

i love that he made a pallet for the components and then spends 15 minutes moving the various thrusters around lmaooo, watching you make more work for yourself is quite fun. really great scrap you found tho, the gun shed was great

Mini control flyer: Southpaw. You can put a large grid merge on the back of the trailer truck (newly dubbed: the Boxer (truck) and use it as the roving scraper for long distance recon. Add a couple of cargo containers with a H2/O2 generator and a couple of tanks to power the additional thrusters for flight. Find ice for truck/cargo side of Rover/flyer (bring back more ice for base H2 tank). Load up and start to fly (or drive if too heavy) back. If there are extra large components, then fly back to get the crane truck/cargo. (Attach all parts to haul your 'score' back to base..like a scrap yard CONSTRUCTACON™(get more 'trailers' and build a train (together you can call it Fezzic™, because he is the Brute-squad™))) ***Of course this may be problematic if you are worried about all the ™'s.***

The Cockpit-Module is the "The Chicken", while the Carrier-Module should be called "The Vulture".

I literally had a BIG rover (cockpit, 2 hydrogen engines, 1 h2+o2 generator and 2 big cargo & 4 medium cargo in a six wheeler wide platform, small grid) perform several flips in multiple axis just by adding the part for the hinge... (frotunately it landed connector-first on the ground, nothing exploded, and I had just added some extra light armor as a cage around the components...). You never know when a vehicle will exert its dreams of olympic-level gymnastics!

Why not calling it "the Silkworm"? and I have some ideas of some attachments for it. 1. cargo with helping thrusters. (up and forward... and maybe a drill on it too) 2. gas tank with helping thrusters. 3. weapons cargo with guns.

Splitsie, there's a TV show from like 1987 called The Highwayman, that had a tractor/trailer that had a hidden helicopter built into the cab for moving quick. I kinda get the same vibe for what you're starting to build here.

Maybe it's just because it's wide, has black & yellow stripes, and flies; but the name "The Bumble" just seems to suggest itself. Though I suppose Shadow might think you're just ripping off "The Bubble" . . . Any thoughts on where the heavy lift module is going to be parked when not in use? Are you thinking of building a little helipad onto the base somewhere; maybe on the roof of the little garage building, or out the back, behind the warehouse so not everything is all focused around that one small area? I suppose you could open up the front of the second warehouse building and convert it into a straight-up hangar? I presume that at this point finding and dragging back an actual hangar might seem like overkill. Also, not to be that guy, but wouldn't it have been easier to just move the whole pallet of thrusters outside so you could sort them out there where there's actually room to work? Isn't that the point of movable pallets in the first place? For future building projects it might be an idea to build an area specifically for that purpose, with an inspection pit, piston jacks, lighting, and cargo access already in place? Maybe even a smaller crane nearby in case you need to move something or hold it in place? Oh and at the risk of stating the obvious; I'd recommend getting the flickering sign built on the ground first before craning it up over the gate, rather than try and working on it in situ. For extra effect, would it also be worth adding a spark emitter or two that turns on whenever the sign "flickers"? May I also assume that only the 'S' on "Scrapsies" will be flickering off occasionally, because that's just the kind of mentality we have here? ;)

I'd Suggest Tur-duc-ken as a name, two modules and then if you dock it with your rover as well.... perfection.

Well the small module can be "Chicken Little" and the large combined flyer can be "Big Rooster", and paint it red and black ;) Of course the merge block will mess with what is named what, but we can dream :D 🐣🐔

Since this flyer is to be detachable from the main flyer, it's almost like a Captain's Skiff. Thus, it could be named Skiffy... or to incorporate your name into it, Skiffsie. In regards to the blinking/flickering neon, timer blocks sound interesting, but I'm unsure how you'd get randomness from them. (This is under the assumption you are going for the "faulty circuit" flicker effect rather than an intentional blinking sign) I would imagine that there is a random number function that can be created in a script to allow for a more realistic letter or sign section blink/flicker. A rooftop connection for the main flyer seems like a neat idea although I don't know if one could be built without seriously modifying the roof. I was imagining a bit of a landing platform, with a set of stairs coming down between the new warehouse and the "garage" for ground access.

The chicken makes me think of the ugly duckling makes leads me to Uggie Duckie. Uggie for the "head" Duckie for the lifter/body. If you then place the large thrusters far out to the sides, it will look like stubby wings.

what about naming the control flyer "master" and the detachable flyer "minion". Combined it could just be called "The Union" or something like that?

Just to tickle your OCD, did it bother you that the triangular battery danger yellow sticker are upside down on your flyer. For a name, I propose David for the cockpit and Goliath for the heavy lifting part that will merge with it!

Using merge blocks will cause one half of the completed ship to get renamed "Small Grid xxxx" when detaching. I use "Unmerge Grid Rename" script to auto rename them when the grid gets detached.

Raided by Jawas! Actually I was stupidly messing around with the trash cleanup settings and vanished every bit of loose salvage at my base. I kind of thought that if it was at my base it was considered "owned", but clearly not. Wondering what trash cleanup settings are used on the server so that scrap locations are always refreshing but loose salvage at the base stays put? Anyone know?

I am going to suggest calling the flyer " HeadMaster " like the Headmasters from Transformers.

The cockpit you used on the flyer always makes me think of a grasshopper head. Maybe call it the scrap-hopper. Especially with the landing legs and design choices you were talking about it would probably be very appropriate.

8:17 I'm not sure, but is that an absolutely tiny helicopter? If so, adorable. I think an interesting design for an aircraft in this scenario would be to have the thrusters raised high above the rest of the craft - this could be decorated to look like they're on large arms or spikes or something, but it would give a unique, kind of alien look (if SE cared about it, it'd even autolevel when carrying something because of the distance, but, well), and keep the flames at a harmless distance from any cargo regardless of size, allowing you to potentially bring back even large vehicles or small buildings.

the flyer : "Cockroach" normaly they Cockroach can service without a head. this one the the opposite, it services without a body.

when struggling with space driving the telehandler around objects, particularly when you have a load, like with a forklift remember you have movement on the Z axis so you can bring the load up over things then maneuver and bring the load back down. eg: 48:00 . using this method when i was driving forklifts saved me so much time/made things easier

One last thing you could place on that flying brick, just because? A vent, right on top of that one last conveyor slot, located on the roof of the industrial cockpit.
