thank you guys so much for watching!! sorry I haven't posted for a bit, I have been quite sick the past week. but I appreciate the support :))
the aviary is going well and it's almost spring! cant wait for all the projects to come out faster as it starts to warm up here :D

I know it's exciting to release birds into avairy. But tropical birds do not have any down feathers for added warmth protection. They also need to be acclimated slowly into cooler outdoor temps. They chill very easily. Wait until night time temps do not fall below 50° Fahrenheit. Also I always have a heat lamp inside avairy with perching 6" below light for them to get to quickly when chilled. Good luck! It will be beautiful when warmer and grows in! Patience is a virtue!! Lol

That’s probably too cold for them. Canaries and most finches need some adaptation time before they can be released into an outdoor aviary on winter.

Yes we realized that but we got them from people who kept them in aviaries so we didnt think it was a problem. But now we have sorted lots of stuff and they should be great when we add more birds eventually
