Sri Lanka's 2024 Budget Speech outlined plans to accelerate Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) to secure the required investments and expertise to facilitate continued provision of public infrastructure projects across the country going into the future. But does the current institutional and regulatory framework for PPPs in Sri Lanka have the capacity to successfully facilitate these plans?
The webinar will consist of presentation detailing findings from a policy brief jointly produced by Advocata Institute and Alliance for Sustainable Infrastructure (ASI), followed by a panel discussion with the following speakers;
Speaker: Mr. Thilan Wijesinghe - Chairman & CEO TWCorp (Pvt) Ltd (Former Chairman at NAPPP)
Speaker: Prof. Rohan Samarajiva - Chairman, Lirneasia
Speaker: Mr. Umair Ismail - Financial Restructuring Specialist at Ministry of Power and Energy (Former Lead Transaction Advisor at NAPPP)
Moderator: Ms. Yasmin Raji - Deputy Manager Research, Advocata Institute
