YES!! Over planning is better then under any day of the week in my book!! Oh my gosh! The times I didn't plan enough and wasted soooo much time and money....if I could have all of that back. I'm looking forward to seeing your new space, and as always, I enjoyed this video.
Thanks for the video. I'm moving into my 4th booth on Mar 1st, 3rd location. I kind of feel crazy but also I feel pretty confident. I really liked the video you shared a few weeks back about to expand or not to expand. I had my husband watch it told him this kind of helped me make the choice to have one more booth! I like your check list in this video. Now that I'm a few days away, I told myself that one of my original ideas for this space will be just fine to add in April or May. Like I had to give myself permission to delay a few things and that is OK! Today I am finishing up the lamps that I want to add. Cleaning, pricing making sure they are ready to go. Good luck!
Lots of good tips here. Videos are a must, always take them after restocking and reviewing just before going back. Where can we purchase your paints online?
Wow! Excellent advice and points made in this video. Man, if I didn’t live so far (Bartlett, TN), I’d come and volunteer to help you just to gain your expertise.
You are too sweet! I do have a Facebook Booth Owners Business Group...no travel needed, if you are interested. shoptheturnedleg.com/pages/booth-101-booth-owners-business-group
I find myself giggling at myself because I just gave up my half booth that I was absolutely attached to because it was a 5x10 and $100 and if all else failed I always had my half booth. I literally was teary-eyed when I disassembled it. I went from hanging around isles 4 and 5 to now having 10x10 booth spaces on isle 1 and 2😲😲😲 I’m extremely nervous but grateful. I have so much stuff in my home and at a storage unit-that keeps getting more expensive. I needed to do this to meet my goal of getting rid of the storage unit by the end of the year. It has taken a week to get my new booth the way I want it and I’m super thankful the manager allowed me to move in early and my new higher rent will start March 1st. I’m excited to see your process of building your new space. I can’t wait to see the results. Cheers to more space🥳🙏🏾☺️
One thing I did setting up my booth, I sketched as much as I could as far as where I wanted my table, my desk, my cabinet for "X" and the ones for "Y and Z" also making notations on the sketch as to what I was putting on those shelves and in those areas . That way, a glance at you sketch and everyone understands where you want things and everyone is more comfortable helping, also, you don't get a hundred questions!
Excellent idea. I have done this in the past, but this time is a little different...not sure what wall, if any are staying...so the plan will change. I may sketch some rough display ideas and then have to figure out where they will go and what walls or structures will need to be built.
Nice you Are adding new space. One thing to note is that negative space is ok too. It gives the eye a place to rest and it allows the shopper to see more of your items. Good luck setting up.
Is there a basic amount of booth space you need to make this financially viable. I couldn’t handle your large space but to make booth rent and a reasonable profit is there a square footage that helps. This is more of a hobby for me. But it’s still a lot of work so I need to make enough to keep funding it. Thanks. Love your insight.
Depends on what you need to make. More space can equal more profit or more loss...just depends on what you sell, what you pay for it, rent, other expenses, customers...thanks for watching.
