In reading the various scriptures on divorce, it seems that no person can get remarried if they are divorced unless the former spouse dies or is remarried. In my own life, I was not a follower and was married twice. Both ended in divorce. They are both remarried. Then I married a man who is my sons father. I didn't marry him as a follower but found the Lord right before I had my son. His father left almost 4 years ago because he wanted nothing to do with God. That is explained by Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:15. Now, I have been single for almost 4 years. My sons father is probably not remarried, but I'm not sure. So are you saying that you see scripture as; I cannot get married unless he passes away or is remarried, or not at all? 2 Corinthians 5:17 states that we are a new creation. Old things passed away, all things become new.
