As an American, I won't lie, I hate how everything has sugar as either the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th ingredient. So I can only imagine the struggle you and your husband face at the grocery store. Also, excited for the future of Singe and excited to see what you will release next! I really loved the brushes you created and use them like all the time whenever I do my eye makeup!

Yeah, our bread even has sugar lol prefer that to the fake sweeteners though as I can’t tolerate the aftertaste they leave stuck to my tongue.

I agree about the sugar content in food. I’m trying to cut out refined sugar, but it’s really ended up “cutting back” because it’s so hard, (and can be expensive) to get away from sugar in the US.

I completely understand the sugar issue. My boyfriend is diabetic and finding foods that don't have hidden sugar can be tricky. The reasoning for so much sugar in America foods is that we as a country were told that fat was the enemy in weight loss. So, to replace the flavor fat adds sugar is the fat-free alternative. In many ways, it's as bad or worse. The American diet is not balanced and healthy. You really have to go far out of your way to eat healthy here

@@catrice1296same. I am also the heaviest one in my family but the only one who does not have high bp. I try so hard to stay away from processed sugar to help with inflammation. I can feel when I’ve cheated. I’m very proud of myself for drinking mostly water or seltzer. I only have sweetener in my one cup of decaf in the morning.

Angie! I’m a Floridian and I just did a 4 day Disney trip this past weekend! Just a tip, go to Orlando after September if possible. Florida is experiencing a tremendous heat wave and the conditions are deadly. We were miserable in the late morning-late evening. If you do go, please be prepared with tons of sunscreen and water. It is very uncomfortable and it makes the experience pretty not worth it, in my opinion. We don’t know how long this heatwave will last, but it might be slightly better by September/ October. But right now we’re talking about 100-120 type temperatures with humidity and no wind. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you I saw two people on the floor in the parks being tended to by paramedics due to heat exhaustion/ stroke.

Your eye look is gorgeous!!! Also, amen on the sugar thing! Honestly, the fact that we have sugar in absolutely everything is something that occurred over the last 40 years or so. It hasn't always been this way. Ever since we went hard on HFCs instead of regular sugar in the 80s, everything has gotten sweeter and people got used to that and now EVERYTHING has sugar, or worse, artificial sweetener, in it.

Added sugars is a definite issue here. Pasta sauces without extra sugar are HARD to find in the United States too. I always end up getting a sauce imported from Italy.

From what I've seen, TV presenters in Greece do wear "exciting" makeup, so my mum would always say my style was normal, or like my Greek heritage, compared to the other Australians I grew up around. Was so exciting when I discovered beauty RU-vid 4 years ago.

Lethal Cosmetics has become my favourite brand, and thanks to you ❤️ As a French living in Sweden, It's funny that you mention that you are struggling finding food without added sugar in the USA, because it has always been my struggle in Sweden! After nearly a decade in Sweden, I still pass too much time reading the labels to find products without sugar (like.. sugar in bread ? WTF!!??), and when I meet other French or Italian people living here, they struggle with exactly the same thing 😅 Everything is sauce and sugar and I am crying every time I am at the grocery store 🤣 So I CANNOT imagine what you are living in the US 😬🤯😱🤣

I feel like many savoury foods contain sugar because it goes well with salt. My German grandma always adds a little sugar to her salad dressing, also I'm cooking a lot of east asian food and theres sugar in almost every savoury dish

I understand the sugar thing. My husband is Japanese. When we went to eat sushi for the first time after we got married, he realized that sugar was added to the rice at the sushi restaurant here in the US to adapt the the US palette. Crazy.

I feel like I've burned out. I do love what i have. I can look at a palette of shadow and still have giddy excitement, but it's been a very lonely road. Not having anyone to discuss, share excitement, appreciate looks with, etc. Sure, there are online communities, but that's still strangers and key strokes, superficial, hollow. With the help of YT and you, I did keep my fire lit it for 8+ years ❤ Not sure how to create a spark 😢

Speaking of local restaurants, Angie, I don’t think you’ve tried Trattoria Lisina yet, which is located in Driftwood! An amazing italian restaurant and they even make their own wine! They have a sister restaurant at the Triangle in Austin called Mandola’s. It is soooooo gooooood! Mandola’s is a more casual version of some of the same foods and wines! They ship their pizza ovens in from Italy! Their gelato is amazing! You need to try them! Trust me!

Some of my favorite foundations can be a little thick or dry. (Aging skin/:) Add a few drops of serum, facial oil or a liquid illuminator to it. 💯 works.

My husband and I try to eat lower carb/sugar options when we can and it is definitely a struggle. If you can find it near you (or online), Primal Kitchen, Sir Kensington, and Bolthouse Farms are good dressing options. It's also pretty easy to put together a simple vinaigrette. Lower sugar options are more popular now, but we were making a lot of our own stuff from scratch because we just couldn't find it. I just got back from Disney World and New Orleans. SO MUCH WALKING. 100K steps in 4 days. I liked Epcot and actually wondered what you would think of the Scandinavian area. So strange but also fun. Our daughter was in her Senior year of college. We spent 5 days there and it was wonderful- one of our last vacations as a family. Blessings always on your upcoming ventures.😍

I loved the Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster in Epcot! I haven’t watched those movies and know nothing about it, but it was amazing! I hope you love it too. I plan on checking out the movies now.

I haven’t freelanced as a makeup artist, but I’ve done some makeups on my friends and their friends, and, yeah, people are mostly wanting these Kardashian-like looks. There were handful of times when people arrive to my place, cuz we’ve agreed to do some stuff as everyone around claims that my colourful makeups are well done and pretty, and then it all dies at the… browns. 😆 And I’m like - you were captured by the colours, why not to try? So, not doing neutrals in this household. 😂 I’ve been sometimes pulling people out of their comfort zones by doing these kind if looks, cuz then they are surprised, cuz it’s smth different, they see themselves from a different perspective, and their friends sees them different, if they post the pics somewhere. I also strive to the creative side of the things, so, totally get it. I have noticed that what’s for me quite a usual daily look to do is quite a stepping out of the comfort zones for others. 😃 But I like to push the boundaries a bit for a wonderful outcome.

👏👏👏 Angie planing leasure time with her friends and family is so amazing to hear about. You deserve it. ❤ I still remember the promise you made to yourself after CoV and I’m so glad you are able to do so many fun stuff. I can’t imagine grocery shopping in different markets at all. My shopping list is still the same like it was 5 years ago.. 😬 ocd much? I just had horrible break out on my face and I realized I started to eat so much chocolate aka sugar and that was easy to cut out of my diet by just cutting chocolate out. If I had to analyze my whole shopping list for the real cause of that breakout because companies decided to add sugar to everything… thanks but no thanks.

I didn't even wear bright colors but I can't stop buying colorful or extra shimmer or special shades palettes. That Beauty Bay one looks so pretty. I'd use probably 7 compress max lol.

It's wonderful that you did makeup with the Beauty Bay palette ❤ They have been forgotten and have great pigmentation 😍 I was thinking about becoming a make-up artist but like you I love colorful crazy bold makeup and most people expect natural neutral makeup I also don't like Instagram retouching Real makeup has structure and imperfections 😊😉
