GETTING RID OF SO MUCH STUFF ! Clean, organize, declutter with me | Back to school fresh start! 

So many times these cleaning motivation/declutters have homes that look perfect - thank you for showing a real home and what it is like with kids -- This is what is motivation - thank you for being relatable!

I would call a room review just before dinner each night the kids would go to their rooms and pickup and put away everything in their right places Made Saturday cleaning day a lot easier.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. life gets busy and it’s hard when your kids are little. I remember going round and round in the cycle with my boys. I started having them pick up at night before they went to bed and taught them that if there was an emergency or they needed to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, if their toys etc. were all over the floor they may fall and get hurt. This helped with them wanting to tidy up their rooms before they went to bed (not that it was ever perfect yes we still have to get in there and do the ‘Mom clean’) The sad fact is they kind of will make their own way as they grow into adulthood my one son is still super messy but he’s 35 and I’m not sure how to help him change at this point. He’s livin’ his best bachelor life 💞

I’ve been decluttering room by room so I don’t get overwhelmed & take breaks. I’ll be going back to work so trying to get it done before that. I’m dreading my basement 😳 to declutter. Send prays lol 😂

I feel like mowing is the worst , but has to get done. Lol how cute is that...you still clean/declutter the same way you did when you were little. Must have been effective if it stuck with you ! You def got rid of a lot from their rooms ..really enjoying these declutter videos.

I have been needing to do this to my sons room so badly. He has so much stuff that needs to be decluttered. Thinking I might wait until he is back in school so I can go thru all the toys. I have done our room and all the closets are decluttered because of back to school clothes shopping. We were able to donate so many clothes.

I have been decluttering for the last month, I think I have donated like 2-3 truck loads of stuff from clothes, kitchen stuff to decor pieces. I have always been a minimalist until 2020 then I got to the point where I was watching some many people going and buying so much decor and stuff and I started doing it and I got to the point recently where I was feeling so overwhelmed with cleaning because I had all this stuff in my house that always needed to be dusted and cleaned that I finally was like nope I am going to get rid of it because I don't want to spend all my ti.e cleaning it, I rather spend my time with my husband and kids and getting to go do things. Plus I am tired of trying to be like everyone else. There is quite a few people I quit following because every time i watch them then I would catch myself wanting to do things like them but you are one of them few that I still follow because I love watching your content.

Hey Karrie, it looked fun trying to declutter a small room with the whole family and dog in there..lol It is great that Dillon helped. You are correct in teaching your kids about being consistent in putting away what they get out. You got me in the mood to do more decluttering. I have an injured toe at the moment so it's slow going. Good job, it helps to do this periodically.

I always am cleaning out. These video's help keep me going from room to room. I now have a bedroom with so much stuff to take to the thrift store for donation. I think I want to have less decor in my home sometimes it seems to much. My daughter and grandchildren says no don't change it mom.😊 Have a fun weekend with your family. It's so good to know that my grandkids aren't the only ones that are messy lol! They walk by the laundry hamper all the time , but their dirty clothes still are in the rooms in the floor.

Great job Karrie! I think kids need to help keep their rooms clean. I raise 3 and after they reached about 6 years of age they were taught to put everything away in their room before they went to bed. It would start all over the next day , but they always put it away before bedtime. But back then kids did not have all the stuff kids have today so there wasn’t nearly as much to pick up.

The helium thing is so funny!🤣😂. Everytime I see you declutter it motivates me too!❤

I have been trying to keep up with laundry and let me tell yeah lol that is my least favorite chore to do 😂 so it keeps piling up even after I do loads of it lol. My husband will help me too.

Laughing at you sitting in the center of the room cleaning and explaining. I was (and am ) the EXACT same way. I still do it too. This way I see what I have and how much of what I have. I find it a lot easier to SEE it all and make decisions this way.
