I think most of us make an attempt to mature and fit in after the age of 18 or so, mostly due to everyone saying how we need to do that (I’m talking about you dad). Then something happens, often when our male children reach a certain age and we remember how liberating that period was, we start to embrace our inner demon again. Then, at some point, you get old enough to realize none of this really matters, there’s more time behind than in front, and you, sometimes literally, say ‘frak it’ and just commit to living and enjoying it, damn what everyone else thinks and says. It's not so much we stop there. We keep maturing, but we never forget how to be silly or wild. We (sometimes) get better at hiding it if we need to and we definitely get better at cleaning up after.
