I am a newbie.. Can you purchase a hard drive wallet, use libertyx to buy pins and put them on the hard drive wallet to avoid any bank account transactions? If so how would you make a Bitcoin address that would send to the drive?
@teamwpventure
@teamwpventure 7 лет назад
So I'm completely new to this, and this is probably a silly question, but do you have any videos showing how to transfer your BTC from an exchange to a hardware wallet? I just purchased a nano s this week and it should be here soon, but I'm still not 100% sure I get how to transfer it from the exchange to the hardware wallet.
@BTCSessions

For sure I can help you out! This is the receive screen on my Ledger Nano S: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YI1OntWB7wc.htmlm23s If you select and copy the string of charachters where it says "Bitcoin Address", you can then paste them into the "To Address" field when you go to withdraw from whichever exchange you're on. Here's an example from my Quadriga video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KkiO7sJu4lI.htmlm26s I hope this is helpful!

Thanks so much! I just got it now in the mail. My follow up question would be can the copay wallet accept ethereum? I am big on ethereum after researching a bit this past couple weeks.
@BTCSessions
@BTCSessions 7 лет назад
Unfortunately CoPay only supports bitcoin, but if you're into both then I'd recommend checking out Jaxx. They're a multi-currency wallet, and you can freely convert between Bitcoin and Ethereum within the wallet itself. Here's the video I did on it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Wu7jsarwfa4.html

When you said stay safe with the online exchange did you mean platforms like CoinBase? So moving your bitcoins from let's say CoinBase to Ledger Wallet? Thanks
@BTCSessions
@BTCSessions 7 лет назад
Yes that is absolutely what I meant. If you have Bitcoin in any online exchange (including Coinbase), they currently have ownership over your money. At any point they can change their policies and censor your transactions, OR they can be susceptible to hacking, which may also cause you to lose your funds.

@BTCSessions
@BTCSessions 7 лет назад
I believe Coinbase, Gemini and Kraken all have listings for a few different currencies. For those that are not available on exchanges, the simplest way of converting is through a website called shapeshift.io I did a video on them a while back. Basically you just deposit bitcoin (or any other cyrpto you like) and get the coin you prefer sent back to you. The only thing you need to do is get a wallet for the currency of your choice. I found Jaxx is pretty good for that. In fact you can convert currencies right inside the Jaxx app, which I also did a video on. Exodus is another one I featured, though they are only available on desktop.

@BTCSessions
@BTCSessions 7 лет назад
I think you're doing pretty well for yourself. You're right that the price is definitely getting up there. If Bitcoin continues down this path then most people will never own a whole Bitcoin. In fact, if all BTC ever created was divided equally amongst our current population, each person would only have 0.0028. Hopefully that makes you feel a bit better about your holdings :)

what about long-term about save bitcoin like minimum 1 year u think is good idea ?
@BTCSessions
@BTCSessions 7 лет назад
I think saving Bitcoin for the long term is by far the best approach. The number of newly issued bitcoin gets cut in half every four years, so in 2020 it will be more difficult to get some than it is now. Even if the demand remains the same as it is now and doesn't increase at all, value will have to go up because less is available. Of course with any investment there are risks and you should only invest money you are willing to lose.

@coloradobitcoin3058
@coloradobitcoin3058 7 лет назад
Personally, I avoid Blockchain.info due to it's larger attack surface (web-logins) as well as a history of bugs. Many others do the same if you were to ask /r/bitcoin, for example. However, it is still a very popular wallet choice. Better than custodial wallets like Coinbase, for example, but not as good as Copay or the other mobile wallets.

Yes absolutely. I often use different wallets for different purposes, and send back & forth between them. You can actually also have the same wallet on your phone/computer and link them so they contain the same "account". I do this with Bitpay, CoPay and Jaxx. You can also do it with Coinbase (because they hold your money like a bank) and Blockchain.info

might be a stupid question but... if everyone is trying to figure out how to buy and recieve and mine bitcoins, then why do people sell them? Like why would I want to sell my $10 bill I have in my pocket? Seems weird to sell your own money.
@lisaanderson4383
@lisaanderson4383 6 лет назад
The price of BTC is constantly changing and sometimes fluctuate. So, when the prices go down, some people go into panic and sell cause sometimes the fall is always very drastic. Also, its business for some of us who have good tutelage on how to trade this same btc to make quick money... I get signals when its about to go up or crash.... so i buy when its low and sell when the prices go high... I have been getting this signals from Bogdan Viktor on skype for over a year now and i must say he has changed my fortunes, he also hooked me wth a mining boot but that is a story for another time.

hey, what are your thoughts on paper wallets from sites like bitaddress.org ?
@BTCSessions
@BTCSessions 7 лет назад
Hey hey, I actually did a video on this a couple months back. I used to store most of my savings in paper wallets (though I now use a Ledger Nano for that). Paper wallets are a great way to store bitcoin as long as you're careful with it and print multiple copies to leave in different locations. You wouldn't want your house to burn down and lose your BTC in the process. Here's the link to the vid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VTsHeiBhPIM.html&t
@Schnupfndrache7

What are your thoughts on just using a Single Wallet? Also is it true that I should only deposit currency only one time per wallet? or can i keep adding money like a piggy bank ?
@BTCSessions
@BTCSessions 7 лет назад
I was using 4 different paper wallets, which was somewhat dependent on what amount of money I was comfortable leaving in each one. As far as my understanding goes, you can deposit to the wallet as many times as you like, but if you spend from the wallet then it's better to just sweep the whole thing and start a new one. The reason for that is because you've now accessed the private key online, meaning that there's a possibility it could be compromised. A true cold storage wallet has never been spent from.
@Schnupfndrache7
@Schnupfndrache7 7 лет назад
BTC Sessions ah I understand ty. btw it would be cool if you also made a video where you explain how to cash out bitcoin for money. I think you just mentioned coinbase in one of the recent ones, but a how-to would be nice
@vakeone

Also, if you don't print a paper wallet from a permanently offline computer and printer, there's a possibility it could be compromised.

how do you cash out?
@BTCSessions
@BTCSessions 7 лет назад
There are a variety of ways. Some Bitcoin ATMs are 2-way meaning you can send the machine bitcoin and take out cash. You can sign up for an exchange, sell your bitcoin online, and then get money wired to your bank. You can go on localbitcoins.com and sell to someone directly in person. You can also get a Bitcoin Visa card like I've covered in other videos, and convert your bitcoin directly to the card, to be spent anywhere that accepts credit cards. You can also spend it online directly at a lot of spots like Purse.io where you can get huge discounts on Amazon using bitcoin. Plenty of ways to cash out any BTC you don't want to hold anymore.

BTC Sessions dude.. you are awesome... i am 100% new as of yesterday... is it true that intial investment will double in like 90days?
@BTCSessions
@BTCSessions 7 лет назад
Thanks man, I think it's good to try to give people a basic understanding of the technology. There's a LOT to learn. I definitely wouldn't bank on ANY price predictions from anyone, regardless of if they're good or bad. If there's one thing I've learned in Bitcoin, it's that you never know what is going to happen. While I think that they technology holds huge promise in the long term, I wouldn't have ANY money in it that I needed for the short term. 90 days from now it could go up, but there's an equally good chance that it could go down. Only invest what you can 100% afford to lose :) I try not to rely on any short term gains. I'm in this for the long game, and the realistic goal is to never have to sell it. Why? Because if Bitcoin grows to its full potential, you won't have to sell it - you can just spend it like you would with regular dollars. Best of luck as you learn all about Bitcoin, my friend! You're going to have a blast learning about it. If you want some fun videos that are really great explaining the technicals and potential of Bitcoin, check out anything by Andreas Antonopulous. He is THE public speaker on BTC.

I think you need to use a camera that minimizes the shake. It gave me a headache watching your footage, I could not finish.

Haha no worries! I'll be honest - trying to trade the crypto markets is scary. My tactic has been to buy & hold for the past few years now. I ignore the ups and downs, set aside a specific amount each month, and just continue to accumulate. If I had bought or sold every time something big happened I honestly would have lost a lot of money. That being said, don't every invest money you can't afford to lose. A good way to do it is perhaps cut out a bad habit that you spend money on and use that as your investment money. Then even if the price crashes, you know you would have spent that money on something bad for you anyways. Ultimately it will be up to you what your tactic is. If you get the chance, read the book "Unshakeable" by Tony Robbins. Apply those lessons to crypto and you'll probably be better off than most.
