If there's anything I've learned about DF it's that if you get creative, you can do a lot with a little. You don't need to buy an Unreasonably Large City right away if cost is a problem -- it's much easier to start small and work your way up. Years later you'll have an embarrassingly large terrain collection!

100% correct, but I'm really here to say that "Unreasonably Large City" should be the name of a pledge level that comes with perks like meeting the DF crew, playing a game with them, maybe even getting a mini in your likeness.

I bought a few at a time and it grows fast. My favorite thing is after a long session I can just dump everything in a box. I'd hate to have to carefully pack other terrain after GM'ing a long session. We all just ceremonially chuck the DF in the box (after separating any LED pieces 😉) and in 5 minutes I'm packed up!

I am not a player but, it appears to Me that this would be well worth one's time and money to acquire for gaming and with all the other available stuff on the market...should be FUN !

The cities KS was my first and still learning new ways of using them - Unreasonably Large City made me laugh, the thing you have to remember with DF terrain is that it breaks down for easy storage and no two cities build need be the same. So you don't have any wasted buildings that do not get on the table. If you use premade buildings from TTW, MBA etc you always see the same buildings on the tabl or you have a tin of them and only use a fraction.

I would wager that most people who bought an Imperial Streets haven't used all of it at once; it just provides you with enough pieces to do a wide variety of smaller builds that look totally different.

I already bought the caverns core set and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DF. But I want to move to a tavern now and can't decide if I should buy x2 Tudor Starter sets or the City Tudor Core Set (plus the tavern accesories of course), HELP!

Sucks that is so expensive to get into dwarvern forge, i get it because its so much work to put into it, if i wanted to build a city with streets just the streets would cost $300 for a decent amount of tiles. Id love to get into them but just not doable when you have a big family.

What are the dimensions of the walls? Looking to use Dwarven Forge for a halo mega construx diorama. I was wondering if the Dwarven Forge would be a suitable structure to figurine ratio with the halo mega constructs figures. Halo figures are 2 inches.

The walls are 2 inches tall and a little under 4 inches long, so they become a full 4 inches when combined with the corner posts.
