I would love to see an update video on how this runs and if it has any overheating issues, my cats sleep on top of my tv cabinet while my ps5 is running because it’s output air is so warm and they love it. Love the design would love to see if it overheats or can run fine with all the additions

Technically, they did make props for a movie. 🤔 That chest she got the plans out of in the beginning was made specifically for a movie which also features some of her earlier projects as well. Yes, it was an independent short film but it was still a movie. 😅

Well for the clock I think it would look really sick, if it would be a sun clock, but made like Stone Henge or a druid altar, and for the hour hand it could be an LED background lighting up runes for each hour in one colour, and for the minutes it could be a fairy fire spirit wandering around in the ancient ruins, in a different colour. I think something like that would be amazing.

PS5’s RAM can reach 92 degrees, dangerously close to the 105C threshold most electronic pieces have. Amazing job but i fear overheating :\

@C. Augustine Thank you, and I'm learning to slow down more in it. At first, all I wanted to do was speed in it because it's weird owning a car that can do 180mph, lol. Tbh cars shouldn't be allowed to go this fast. But it sure is a ton of fun.

Hello guys here to put your minds at ease in case you guys didn't know the airflow for the ps5 comes out of the backside of the console their design uses the front and side of the console but from what I can tell they didn't do anything to the back side of the playstation to ensure that the airflow is still possible so it doesn't have any sort of overheating issues

@@minecraftsnyder4223 I really thought that it would have one as the front and top part of the PS5 is completely blocked. But good to know that it doesn't seem to pose any problems.

We always make sure to leave the air vents open, so probably not much!

@@Nerdforge There are vents all around the top and bottom side (under Lava) and the bottom of the console - hence it comes with a stand - as this is where the cool Air is sucked in - the rear is Just Exhaust to get rid of warm air - so you have blocked the cool air intakes or at least restricted them...

I know they said lava but to me it (and possibly inspired by the dwarves from Tolkein) looks like molten metal rather than molten rock; molten metal (steel/iron) goes to a white-yellow especially when poured like in this build, to then be used for casting - if you want to see; alec steele went to an ironworks recently and filmed it; it shows iron being forged into hot rolled steel and does look a LOT like the 'lava' flowing in this dwarven build. (not sponsored, just a fan)

@@MaxRide1 Molten metal would work. Dwarves do a lot of forging of weapons and what not.

The vents on the back aren't blacked, but I also wondered about the big van vent on the side. It would have been smart to make those large doors open so that vent would still he able to draw in the air it needs

They cost roughly at least 3 times as much as the console itself, so not an enormous market, no. They're very niche, although the people who make them (on commission) are usually very talented.

depends on the type of lava but yeah some is super viscous. I just really dislike te colour of the lava, the rest of the build was amazing though

@EternalSidus Yeah, that's true. It depends on the silica content, I think.

It depends on several factors including the gas and water (also gas/vapor at that point) content of the magma and indeed of what sort of molten rock it is made up. And all of that depends on the formation of the magma. Was it a continental plate or an ocean plate that dissolved, why is the magma swelling up on that spot. All of that is connected ofcourse, thus resulting in many different forms of lava. But we most commonly make a distinction between the 2 extreems. But in conclusion to the video, all of the types are more dark and orange/red to my experience. It seems more like molten iron, which kinda fits the dwarves aswell. I geuss I'm just nerding out a bit too much over this.

Yea, my greatest worry is that it will overheat too much too quickly, since foam is an insulator. I’m sure she knows what she’s doing better than I can assume from just what she’s shown in the video, so hopefully I’m just worrying for nothing 😅

@@AmandaBarncord have u even owned a game console before? It doesn't matter that the air vents are not covered. It will still overheat. I guarantee it. It will eventually break down if she keeps using it like that.

It definitely will. Alot of people been having problems with the ps5 overheating even when it's not covered by anything. Hers will break down soon 🤣
