Getting Started With Your Fujifilm Camera - Part 1 - Image Quality & Auto Focus-Manual Focus

Welcome to part 1 of this video series about getting started with your Fujifilm camera! This part will cover the Imaqe Quality (IQ) and Autofocus-Manual Focus (AF-MF) portions of the Settings Menu. Part 2 will cover the Shooting, Flash, Movie, Setup, Networking-USB and MY Menu settings. Part 3 will cover Exposure Modes, and Part 4 will cover Drive Modes, Q-Menu and Viewfinder Display. Whew!
Even though I’ve been making photos since 1979, it’s only been in the past 15 years or so that I’ve had enough understanding of the technical aspects of photography to have more options to create the photos I want. A big part of that understanding has come through a better understanding of all the settings in my camera, and I’m sharing this video series to hopefully help you get a better understanding of your computer, I mean camera, to create the photos you envision.

Mount adaptor setting: (37 mins) It also uses this value for the image stabilisation, so it can make a real difference and can be important (say Laowa 65mm 2x macro for instance) Great video!

Mike… appreciate your engagement to instruct. I’m new to the Fuji system 12/23. Moved over from the SONY system. I just subscribed and will be catching up on past issues, so pardon if I ask a question that you’ve addressed in an earlier posting. Side note, got the XH2 (photography) and XH2S (video). Again thanks looking forward to FUJISising myself. BTW… I watching from about an hour SW of Tokyo.

Michael, thanks for your informative tutorials. In XT4, when we press the Drive button, we can find the way to set Self-Timers. However, it seems there is no way we can do the same in XH2S. I have to select a specific button to do this function because I use self-timer quite often. Did I miss something? Your advice is appreciated.

Hi! Many thanks for watching and for sharing your kind words. My solution for self-timer quick access is to set the fn-2 button (front of camera, top left as you face the camera) to be self-timer button. I press it, then choose 2--seconds, 10-seconds or off. Hope that helps!
