Some of my favourite routines: - Turn off wifi when car Bluetooth connection is established - Turn on wifi when I get home - Turn on always on display when charging - If time is between midnight and 6am and phone isn't charging, turn on medium power saving mode - If incoming call, flash the flashlight while ringing Would be great to hear some other good ones from people :)

I've been using bixby routines since I got my s10e last March. I mainly just use save battery at night and one when I am at work (gps event) to turn off certain things. One thing that is not intuitive when making a routine is understanding that when the routine ends the phone goes back to it's previous state. So, for example, if you have wifi on and a routine turns it off, it's not necessary to create some new routine to turn it back on since it will come back on when the original routine is disabled. Or if it is already off before the routine, it will still be off after the routine. Understanding this concept helps you use bixby to its full extent.

I have a few: 1. Turn on NFC when using Samsung Pay. 2. At work: Turn on Vibration Mode, Wifi, Bluetooth & Mobile Data. 3. At home: Turn on Sound Mode, Wifi & turn off Bluetooth & Mobile Data. 4. 1am-7am: Medium power saving, tap to show AOD. 5. My workplace mosque: Media volume 0%, Do not disturb on. (could be useful for other places of worship really that you frequent)

Having NFC turned on has negligible affect on the battery. Maybe a quarter of % a day

I tried my first routine to set sound to vibrate at a work address. It says when routine ends reverse settings in the setup. How does it know when routine ends? Is it watching when you leave the location entered and then turn sound back on? Mine still stayed on vibrate when I left but that may be because I set it to vibration before I went in and I didn't see any way to set the routine to automatically end.. Just wondering if your work routine automatically reverses when you leave work. Thanks

For those Tap to Start routines, it’s possible to add widgets to your Home Screen and toggle them from there. Much easier than going into Settings every time. Hope it helped someone!

I think I'm going crazy, but I cannot find Bixby Routines on my phone. I don't have that tile in quick settings pull down menu, and I cannot add one with bixby on. Widgets are non-existent... and I checked settings -> advanced features, not there. Not to be found inside Bixby, but I see quick commands. What the hell is going on? Fully updated Note9, Exynos, non-rooted

@@Alynwale I found workaround, you have to sideload the app a d it works fine. I thought I was going crazy, but Routines are S10/N10 exclusive. I managed to install them and will det them up later

Why? Wifi access always has priority over mobile data.

I do t think people understand how much more advanced a phone is with Bixby. You can do things with the Bixby routine IF THAN statements that you could never do with buttons and settings on this or any other phone.

I love my s10+ and I also have an iPad. I noticed that on iPad the IFTTT ( Shortcuts ) there is a plethora of ways to creat a routine, even scripting, and even download shortcuts others created. And I’d love to do the same Bixby routines. Is it possible to script Bixby routines? Is there a place where people share their Bixby routines? I’d love to see a more complex Bixby routines set up.

But your alarm can run for 7 days. I don't have to use Bixby routines for that. My problem with routine is to get apps like 1Spotmedia to open and play TVJ. I would like to use routine to send WhatsApp or text messages

Yep. You can set a routine for when the battery is dead but can't set one for when it's full. Bixby needs some and/or options.

Bixby routines not working for me. Set to WQHD+ display + 60hz if youtube is opened. Still showing FHD+ with 120hz refresh rate. Deleted the bixby routine data didn't fix it. Restart the phone... Didn't fix it. Toggle on an off didn't fix it too. I guess it's true about Bixby is still unreliable.

I thought I can make my phone ring or alarm when it reaches 80% while charging but it does not have this function. It can only beep once and vibrate once and I will not hear it... It has to have function to beep until stopped manually or unplugged.

How the red, green, blue, yellow , orange rectangular boxes are coming in Bixby routines ? In India it is not available for Samsung S21 Plus smartphone.

Still don't know why they won't support AND operator. Trying to get DND turned on only IF it's night time AND the phone is on the charger. But the damn thing turns on DND whenever I charge the phone

I've been ignoring Bixby routines since I got my phone. But I finally started using them because I realized there's a pattern of things I used to turned off or on during my day to day during specific situations. I started using routines created by myself 5 days ago and wow it's really working for me.

And anyway if they wanted to they can get this information from somewhere else... The rule you said is for minors those that can't know what's is right and what isn't and would believe anyone in internet but if you are an adult i don't see any harm in it... Anyway if he didn't want to show it he would have deleted the video and reposted it after hiding it which he didn't

Only thing I dislike is that you have to keep location on at all times if you REALLY want Bixby to do the entire process.. Any way around that?

These examples were kind of weak imo ..... That being said Bixby routines is fire..... It's just IFTT more reliable and for your phone ....... I have 4 setup ..... Here are 2 ........ 1. As soon as my phone connects to my car bluetooth.. Spotify opens .... It's great.... 2 Once I get to work and connect to wifi my phone goes silent

I'm really liking Bixby Routines, but you can't have Bixby put you in airplane mode and turn on Bluetooth only, to meditate with headphones undisturbed. I can do it manually. I tried having it turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data, leaving Bluetooth on, and texts, messenger messages still come through. Any suggestions?

Use Bixby Quick commands. Example: When I leave for work in the morning I simply press and hold the Bixby button and say my custom command " I'm going to work" I have this command turn on bluetooth, turn on navigation, launch the 7-11 App, set the brightness to 70%, turn the volume to max, launch spotify, check the weather forecast for my work area I will be in, check my notifications, read my new messages out loud, and check my email. I have these set to run in a specific order as well. On the way home and when I get home, I have custom commands made to by simply holding a button and saying any command I made to do almost any unlimited actions I want. I think Bixby custom/quick commands is by far quicker, easier, and more flexible than Bixby Routines..😉

I love routines, but... mine haven't worked right since my S10 updated to Android 10 and Bixby decided to update to Samsung Daily. Even simple things like keeping my phone unlocked when I'm connected to my car's bluetooth no longer work consistently. Seems like I have a 50/50 shot of routines actually engaging... and even they're not working, they say they are running in the status bar up top when I swipe down.

I think Bixby is a nonsense from Samsung while we have Google assistant It's true B has some system integration but doesn't worth the hassle Just turn off as much as you could and save some battery

Is there a way to get more actions? For example I'd like to set up a routine that when I'm at 5% battery, it would send a message to a relative to let them know that my phone might die, but there is no action for 'Send a Message'
