I totally get what you are saying. I had an e34 and now I have an e39. The e39 is a much more modern car, easier to live with, very nice to drive, it has all the gadgets that actually makes sence. But the e34 is just nicer to drive. Mines were/are diesel, what you probably cant even imagine, but hay, I live in europe. And especially the m57 diesels are just stupidly smouth and powerfull engines and they make a nice sound too. But yeah, I would love to have an e34 with a 6 or 8 cylinger as a hobby/weekend car. But the prices here are just crazy. I do love the 39 though. Never gonna sell it.

I've got a e39 528i 1999,I replaced everything ,except the alternator and the thermostat..

Maybe main relay ? What else could it be ?

One more thing …. Are the main relay and fuel pump relay both 5 prong relays??? I’ve heard fuel pump relay is 4 prong? But both sockets show 5 slots to plug into

hey brother may i ask please is the body wiring of a e34 525i and 540i are same ?besides the engine wiring loom and will i be able to use the e34 525i complete body with all the suspension and fit the m60b40 engine?? please respond ive been stressing out .

Oilpump bolts maybe, first thing to check on the v8 before driving at all😊😊

Inlet cam code means timing is out. Very hard to get the timing right in these engines. Cam gears are torqued in place, you will never get it the first time. If it's a mm out , you will get a code.

Hey dude , love your videos! Quick question , I have a 1985 635csi. Regular U.S. version. I’m having a no fuel problem. Trying to get it running. I have replaced the external and internal pumps. Replaced fuel filter and checked the fuse for both pumps. Think there’s only 1 fuse for both pumps? Fuse is good. Replaced fuel pump relay. What else is there ?!?! What am I missing? Car turns over great , I have spark. But I can’t smell and trace of fuel after turning over multiple times. I’m not getting fuel at all to the motor. What else can I check that would prevent fuel delivery from tank ???

I had an 01 540 sport and I can honestly say it was a fun car lots of power. I currently own an 01 740i sport which I’ve had for 7 years and it’s been a good car so far. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions I’m glad to help

Sounds like the chain guides took a crap. Take the lower engine pan off and inspect parts at the bottom. If it’s plastic, it might’ve gone into your oil pickup and starved it of oil. 16:28

I just traded my automatic 2003 540i msport for a 1992 e34 touring. Both cars have right around 100k miles and are in exceptional shape. Did I make a good choice?😂

E34 looks better but overall E39 is a better if not best Bmw ever made. I wouldn't mind seeing E39 content to be honest...

Check the spark plugs, the sound is similar to a broken spark plug, NGK spark plugs are defective

Unbelievable the way previous owners wire up things on cars that’s a shame.

I own a 98 540i pre vanos m62 and all the plastic from the stupid u guide was in the pickup screen it barley drove on the trailer when I bought it after new chains and all timing components it's a smooth criminal again. Personally I think if you cleaned out the pickup screen and fixed the oil squirter for the cams those misfire codes would have went away the vanos lost oil pressure so the intake cam literally went full retard causing misfires and the noise was tensioner not having enough pressure on it
