Great to see the chateau getting spruced up for Mick’s impending 80th birthday celebrations. A much needed change of pace for the crew. Crack on gentlemen!🙏❤️
I know they've spent many an hr shoveling up rubble, dirt, etc, but seeing these burly gents doing normal household cleaning is awesome too. What sweet a family, and friends that have become family. Doing this for Mick, an energetic ol' dad. I'm sure this will be a birthday to remember! ❤
At beginning I love the way the camera zooms in. Everyone is working hard. Michael is always smiling. Beautiful headboard, I love it. Yannis is so funny with that Roma hat, lol. What a nice group of friends.
I just had to look up the translation of Fide Sed Cui Vide that was carved on the magnificent bed frame in the new red room. It is, "Trust, But Be Careful of Whom You Trust". Love it! Especially carved on the headboard of a bed!
Excellent choice to move the bed to the recently renovated upstairs bedroom! It looks as if it was specifically made for that room. Well done. Also, it was interesting to see how those beds are put together. Thank YOU!
Love watching you guys tackle (seemingly) impossible tasks: ancient kitchen renos, an epic 2-story library, and moving that massive 4-poster bed. 😮 It’s truly inspiring! 🤩
I absolutely love the bed in the red room! The red from the walls is really bringing out the rich reds that are within the wood of the bed where before it was so dark in there that you really couldn't see that detail. Amazing choice! And I agree, I believe that the headboard is indeed a Renaissance headboard, it is very Elizabeth and in flavor and beyond stunning!
That bed does look like it was made for the red wallpaper bedroom. The festive feeling really came through in today’s video. Everyone seems happy to work for Mr. Petherick’s birthday. He deserves it!
On the chandelier that you were cleaning, there are battery operated, remote control, tea light candles that would look perfect in it. You could just press a button on the remote and all of the tea light candles would light up.
Some light relief from all the dust I’m sure. The Château will look beautiful, a fitting tribute to your dad. Rick, enjoy your time away, Yannis and Michael. Well done and I see dad in the background as well working hard. Love the music, all hands on deck there, even your young son looking so serious with what he’s doing. Thank you Billy as always for the music and for the videos I do enjoy them.👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Definitely some Downton Abbey vibes at the beginning of vlog. Great to see everyone helping clean - even little Archie. That bed is gorgeous and fits the room perfectly. Mick is truly amazing at age 80 - will be a fun party. Maine USA
Safe travels Rick. That bed was meant to be in that room. What amazing history!! It looks great. Can’t wait to see more of that beautiful kitchen come together.
My favorite time is Pethericks Time. 😊😊😊 The châteaux is looking phenomenal. 🥰🥰🥰 What an amazing team 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Wishing a Happy Birthday Mick and many many more, stay well and blessed all ✨🙏🏼♥️
@@kathrynwitte3398 I have them they last about 6 months before I have to change the batteries in them and that's using them everyday I have automatic turn on and shut off.
The chateau looks lovely. I think the bed looks better in the Red Room. And it made me smile to see your chandelier on a shirt rack. Mine was on one for years.
Yannis looks so handsome in his french beret. I am so glad he is wearing it. The beret will be his signature hat. That bed is to die for. I don't care if it has pieces from different periods. The hand carving takes your breath away. I will always have a memory of that bed. Wow!!!
That's a beautiful bed! I have a hint for future bed moving: after unscrewing , tape them next to the holes they came out of. So you're not searching for them. 😊
Love seeing the team work!!! So nice to have Rock back! And Yanis has such confidence now, warms my heart!! He knows he can tackle whatever needs doing. HOW EXCITING to be celebrating Mick's 80th! Coming up soon Great time to get all the dusting & polishing done. Crack on!
Everything is looking so beautiful, fellas. Well done!!! The canopy bed looks positively gorgeous in the newly renovated room. No need to rebuild an alcove when you have such a beautiful canopy bed that fits perfectly in the space. I wanted to suggest that you consider using rechargeable tapered candles for the chandeliers that don't have lights yet. I don't know if it will work, but if it does, then you have that option to use them until you get the lights properly rewired. The tapered candles can be used for table settings as well, so it won't be a wasted purchase. The chateau will really sparkle for your father's birthday party. 💝🕯🎁✨🕯💖✨💗🕯🎉💕
I have an original 18th century Louis the XVth style walnut bed and matching armoire from France that I bought when I was 18 years old. The amazing fact that they come apart and bolt together for easy transport allowed me to take them on my MANY house moves throughout the years. I'm 56 now and will probably die in my amazing bed with the armoire at it's side!
I admit I wasn't sure about the paint or wallpaper in that bedroom when you started, but have been liking it more and more, and now the bed has just made it - WOW!! It's like you know what you're doing :D Well done Michael and Billy and team, it's a treat to follow along. I love going between the convent and the chateau. Such amazing progress on both!
The Chateau is looking brand spanking new inside and out, of course there is the little stuff. But you guys get it done. Have a safe Trip Rick and see you soon. :D Crack on !
Loving the bed in the freshly decorated bedroom fits in well in there. Loving the history on the bed Michael you told us about its age etc. Your dad for sure will have a wonder 80th birthday celebrations for sure. Loved watching😘
Re: the chandelier; could you place little battery operated fairy lights in there. No one would see them from below, but see the subtle glow during the party. Put it on during the day, and would last throughout the evening before the battery dies. Looking forward to your upcoming birthday party for your beloved dad!
Please consider briefly lighting the candles in the chandelier, An unlit candle, white wicks, always has the look of something rented and temporary. Thank you all for sharing your adventures. I devour every video you post! I have so enjoyed getting to know all of you and being witness to your talents. They are immense! Timothy
When you have a chateau party organizing hasn't changed that much, you need to start weeks ahead of time to get the chateau ready. Michael seems to enjoy cleaning chandeliers very much, you see how happy he is when doing. Yannis is eager learning new things. Rick is the trusty right hand man in every job, have a nice trip to the UK. Mick is always there to help, no matter what job he's there. Billy is becoming full time camera man and seems to enjoy that as well. It would be nice if Alex came back so that we see Billy a bit more before the camera. And lovely how Michael always has a beautiful and proper way to explain everything, as if he's hosting a show on the BBC. Have a great time sprucing up, let's crack on!
Suggestion… for the entrance chandelier, put battery operated candles with a remote… it will be safe and beautiful… I always look forward to your videos. ❤🇨🇦
Hot tip on cleaning chaneliers: put isopropyl alcohol in a container and get up on a ladder and dip each crystal strand in the container and wipe dry. Gets better coverage than a rag alone.
