I don't think Billy regards the Convent strictly as "work" on hearing his video, but he needs to address his time allocation for working in the Chateau on some pressing projects from working in the convent, obviously this will mean that he is closer to his family also, both buildings are huge and require a fair amount of upkeep, although the chateau is far more advanced than the convent at present, but I dare say that the work will throw up surprises which might make things a little longer!?!
As a cancer survivor and dad of a young family I can tell you, you are doing the right thing, I often wondered what time you had left for your kids and the Mrs after so much time at the convent, you have your whole life to get the convent up to scratch but your kids will only be young once my friend, enjoy them and Gwen as much as you can. 👍💪

I love watching the convent evolve, but I love watching the Chateau as well! Nothing is more important than family and it’s refreshing to see you make sure they are attended to.
You are absolutely doing the right thing. I have 5 kids, and have missed a lot of their childhoods by working. Luckily, Dad was home with them most of their childhoods, but I did miss a lot. Build the relationships with those boys. Show them they're the priority. They may not recognize it now, but they will when they're older. You do you, and we'll come along for the ride! As someone who only discovered your channel fairly recently, and who went back and watched ALL of the convent videos, this will be a nice chance to learn more about the Chateau, which I've not had the chance to go watch the videos from yet.

You and your family and many trusted craftsman have really worked tireless hours bringing this place back from ruin. The clearing of all the thickets and trees and trash took so much out of all of you and your just starting to see what is actually there under all that over growth. And that's just the outside. The inside is hundreds of years of modifications and changes and you have brought that kitchen to looking like a master piece. I'm looking forward to seeing how you progress inside and outside for this year.

A very wise decision Billy, I missed seeing my children growing up, because I was always working, running 3 businesses, one of which was a shipping company. and never getting home till the kids were in bed. The convent will always be there, with others doing the work. I'm sure Gwen will be happy too.

I prefer the work that you do at home. I like seeing rooms decorated and having family around. I did watch all the convent videos to support the restoration, but I really enjoy seeing a room complete. That is difficult at the convent ❤❤❤❤❤

You are the fourth vlog I follow that started a second project before finishing their main project. Then they seem to flail around without any real direction where they are going. I realize how hard it must be coming up with content, filming, editing, construction, etc., but to juggle that with real life and additional vlogs or projects doesn't make your product any better. It's like watching a TV series that loses its main character. Some succeed, most don't. Wish you the best.

Proud of you Billy! I can only imagine what and how you are feeling. Please don’t think me rude but I’m 65 and retired. My husband is retired from truck driving. We’re in America. How does anyone make enough money to buy a chateau and a convent. We never made more than $55,000 a year. I’m glad you can do this a restore these buildings. I’m just curious
