After three years of sitting around in a garage, I walkthough the steps you should take to get your motorcycle back on the road. Whether you're out on an adventure or just preparing for one, knowing these skills can save your ride. I'm putting my experience with Cycle Gear's tire services, link here: CycleGear.com/TireServices, to the test by reinstalling tires and adjusting the chain on my ride while using the Motion Pro PBR chain tool, link here: amzn.to/45YKk6j.
The PBR chain tool is a must-have for any motorcycle rider. It helped me effectively adjust and set the chain links without any hassle! With every use, this tool only gets easier to handle. If you don't already own a tool for managing your bike's chain, I highly recommend the PBR chain tool for its ease of use, effectiveness, and reasonable price.
Torque Specs for the Front and Rear Wheel:
Fork bottom end fastener (M6x1) 10 N-m *
Front wheel nut fastener (M25x1.25) 63 N-m *
Rear wheel shaft nut fastener (M25x1.25) 145 N-m *
*Grease B: Shell Retinac HDX2 or Shell Gadius S2 V220 AD 2
Beyond the chain and wheels, I also walkthourgh changing out your brake fluid and replacing the oil and oil filter. These tasks can be a bit challengingannoying, but with a little patience and the right guidance, I promise you'll get the hang of it.
