I just did the spice jar project. I did not do it as exactly as you did. I am taking note of your tools for lining things up. I did not have a problem with the silicone funnel. I found that it was easy to wipe it out in between spices, it didn’t actually have to have water each time

There's hope for the rest of us then 😂 It looked great and if I was you, I'd casually open those drawers from time to time just to look at them 🙂 I have bananas that I was going to freeze for smoothies but I am now going to make muffins. One idea: Since you live in CA, maybe you have a co-op where you can refill your spice jars directly rather than buying already jarred spices then having to transfer them? I'm in MN and we have a very robust co-op system which allows for bringing in one's own containers to refill for a variety of pantry items (most you showed here in this video, not just spices but oils, vinegars, as well as laundry and personal hygiene items). Definitely check out the resources in your area you may be surprised to find them economical and a benefit to the environment. Cheers!

I use our old towels for real dirty jobs around the house, pets, garage and outside. That way if they get stained or can't be washed, I just toss them. I use old sheets to cover stuff if we have a project going on and I also use the flat sheets to cover the beds when I'm dusting or deep cleaning in rooms. That way all the dust lands on it and not the bed. I use my bed and not the floor to put stuff on.
I'm also doing organizing in the kitchen this weekend. I also want to repaint the kitchen later in the spring when the weather settles here in Socal. Thanks for your inspiration 😊
Hey Randi, I hope I am not saying this after other people did, but I like to donate my old and even stained towels to a local animal shelter. The one near me always needs more, I am not sure if you live near one but just a thought. From one animal lover to another. I always love the simple, reasonable aesthetic to your videos. Always look forward to watching them.
@18:30 or so, if you want to have all labels glossy or matte, buy the corresponding type of ModPodge and only brush on the label surface using a nice brush for an even coat. Thin multiple layers work best. Good luck!
Gr8t job Randy! a heap of work but SO necessary & quite satisfying once completed- be a pleasure to find your fresh spices & herbs all neat & knowing they’re all in date only storing what you know you use! And one other thought: Next time you drop off donations ask them what they do with linens they cannot sell...some places are the only local spot to get rid of rags as they will send them in bulk for repurposing. Here we no longer have a municipal route to recycling cloth so have to rely on Goodwill to do the right thing and get the rags sent for reuse. Maybe you can let us know how that works for your area?

Hi Esther! I've updated the link in the description box. My spices are much too far from where I need them. 🤦🏼♀️ They should be easy to reach from the stove, but not too close the heat of the stove/oven. 😉 The rain...😵💫
