Officially, ems and fire rescue personnel are not legally allowed to carry firearms, unless they work in a direct tactical support with a law enforcement SWAT team. This is because most Ems and fire rescue personnel are not sworn law enforcement officers! Unofficially, some Ems and fire rescue personnel may have personnel concealed permits and may choose to concealed carry their handgun on the job!
