We went from Langkawi too in February with our 3 kids. Loved the longtail transfer boat in, such a fun way to be introduced to island life lol. And the immigration office on the beach, in the sand 👌Definitely will be easier with the 3 kids now that we’ve done it and the kids know to expect some waiting. Lol. We can’t wait to go back next yr 👌
Hello! Great information, looking at doing this route next year. I was planning on travel hand luggage only with just a 30L ‘under seat’ backpack, were you able to keep this with you in your seat? I’d have a laptop in my backpack (probably without a proper case, just in a pocket) and wouldn’t really want it getting squashed in a pile of other backpacks! Thanks!
Hi, the seats are quite narrow so you'd rely on the boat not being full and being able to put on a spare seat next to you, I don't recall there being much storage under the seat in front. Might be best to be prepared to hand over your backpack and have your laptop with you.
@@Iwanttogoto Thank you! I would be fine having my backpack on my lap (as it's quite small), but I wouldn't want it to annoy passengers on either side of me!
Yes it does have a toilet. We only used that ferry and I believe the other ferry to Langkawi is similar however I think the ferries that go to other islands like Phuket are more like speedboats and have a reputation for being less luxurious
