very well said dude. he's also extremely calm, has great head movement and his timing is brilliant. he will held the K-1 Max crown for a long time, he's built for those rules, probably more than MT.
I'm really eager to see Petrosyan in this years MAX..in single fights he's proved to be world class..so I wonder how he will do in a tournament format. I hope final 4 will be Buakaw/Kyshenko/Souwer/Petrosyan.
grande Petrosian !!! la precisione , la forza , la tecnica , la potenza , la bellezza . (bocciato il cronista e la sua - mazzata tribale - hahahahahhah)
1) He is a southpaw which automatically makes him a difficult opponont because of the angles he strikes from. 2) He has exceptionally strong punches (his kicks are actually very strong too) 3) Hiis game plan is very simplyfied, similar to Yodsanklai's, his strikes are limited to the basics, but each strike is thrown with 120% power, and the fewer the techniques, the less chance of making a mistake. The minimized attack variation is compensated with amazing timing and exceptional power.
Petrosyan practiced and fought extensively in MT. I don`t see why you say he`s a boxer. If you`re saying he relies on punches alot, so does Yodsanklay Fairtex. Would you say he`s not a MT fighter?
Perosyan is the world's best middleweight muai-thai and kickboxing fighter. He is the same as Floyd Mayweather in boxing, despite all that shit that envious punks are talking about them.
That's not true, the game has moved on quite a bit. Most Thais have very decent hands as well at the top level thesedays. Look at Yod, he KO's most people by punches, and I think I remember he won his Lumpinee belt back then by body punches too.
The difference between these 2 fighters IMO is that Petro isn't afraid to get punched. And in addition he IS hard as fuck. Personally I don't like Rafik's head wiggling and style in general.
He has draw with Buakaw. And I would like to see him with Kyshenko. He is brilliant but still did not face the best. He fought only with Yamamto(who is bitch and no fighter) and Souwer in final. And Souwer was exhausted after Buakaw.
The second fight of Masato vs Kyshenko was a draw. And though I respect Silver Wolf and he is one of my favourite fighters his second victory over Kyshenko is due to japanese judges. Kyshenko knocked Masato down in second round by straight right. Buakaw is good and even better than he used to be, but that shitheads in K-1 prohibited multiple knees, the favourite weapon of Buakaw. Regarding the Sato being stronger than Masato I agree with you. It is total shit. Masato is MUCH better.
Bignud, What are you talking about? Masato won Kyshenko by KO when they first met. And Sato never KO'd Masato. He knocked him down in 2008, but then Masato still won by points. And Sato lost to both Kyshenko and Masato. And one more thing, just for you to know, - Masato was NEVER KO'd. Sato will never be Masato's or Kyshenko's equal. His techniques are ugly and his jaw is always open. He's hearted and high stamina warrior but not among the best.
Souwer KO'd Drago in the K-1 max 2007. Second round, deep KO of Drago. Drago may be tough but he does not improve with time. And against Buakaw he looked really funny. You shoul watch the fight. Buakaw literally raped him. Petrosyan is much better than Drago, and if they meet Petrosyan will KO him.
