Did she have to crouch down to the ground to put this on her back? I tried this at a store yesterday and the only way I could get it on my back was to loosen the straps. Once the cello is on I cannot tighten the straps by myself. Someone has to lift the cello case in the back so that the straps move when I pull the adjustment pieces. Has anyone else has similar issues or concerns?
Hi! Good question. She did have to lower herself to put the straps on. This case generally sits a little higher on the back. You can see the shoulders of the cello case are slightly above the shoulder of the person. And true, it is recommended to adjust the straps while the case is on the ground. This may be a hassle at first to find the right fit. But once you find it, you should have to adjust the straps anymore.
High quality lightweight cello cases typically run anywhere from $1700 to $3000. While ~$1200 for the gewa air is still a lot of money, it is very affordable compared to other cases of its quality.
