I reviewed the GForce Arms MKX-3 Shotgun. It is a semi-auto, mag-fed 12 Gauge with AR15 controls and ergonomics. That makes for a very fun and effective package, but is it reliable? Check out the review to find out what my experience with this shotgun has been. Let me know what your experience with semi-auto shotguns has been in the Comments and make sure to Subscribe!

I absolutely love mine. Locked the bolt back for about a month or so and when i had spare time i ran the bolt over and over again. This really helped it break in in my personal experience. Turkey guns are very commonly oversprung. If you have trouble with cycling or feeding and your shotgun is still new, try this. Thanks.
@Ineeadifferentusernamelol
@Ineeadifferentusernamelol 2 месяца назад
I had errors with cycling in weak birdshot loads. That's okay for me. Because I use duck guns for ducks if you catch my drift. This is a formidable weapon if you understand that your rifle specifically runs well and functions. do not let anyone tell you different. I hear this same thing about the TAURUS G3C, quality control may not be the best but mine was fantastic.

Per the Owner's Manual: 1,400 FPS is the minimum required velocity during the break-in process (75-100 rounds.) Afterwards, 1,300 FPS is the minimum velocity for reliable running. Slugs are acceptable, provided they meet the minimum FPS requirement at the time and also when the CYL choke is used. Also, note that GForce uses MKX3 and GF25 interchangeably for the same weapon. Per a rep at the company HQ in Reno, NV, they import the model under one name and sell it under another. This is why you'll see both MKX3 and GF25 evident on the receiver.

That makes sense. I always wondered what the model was really called...?

I'm thinking about this for my first, would you recommend it for a first time owner? I've shot plenty of shotguns before
@Ineeadifferentusernamelol
@Ineeadifferentusernamelol 2 месяца назад
@@post-leftluddite if it is your first AR I recommend it. It was my first AR rifle. I shot a lot of shotgun too, it's most of my firearms experience. I got it on sale for 220$ online and me personally I paid in 4 with sezzle so it was 71.42$ every two weeks for 4 weeks. so go ahead and look around you can really score these rifles for a good price.

I own several Turkish shotguns, they are fun. Just know they like high velocity ammo for at least 100 rounds. All I shoot is buckshot and slugs, all high brass so I’ve never had any issues. I have this gun, MKA1019 and Armagon G-12. So far they hold up well. My G-12 probably my favorite of the 3. They all hold the same mags, which is great considering I already own several mags. Yes the more you shoot it the better it gets. Break in is important with these guns.

Couple years ago I bought 3 MKA1919 at one time, 2 of them never had any issues, 1 had to be broken in, they all shoot great now. 2 3/4 high brass do the best in these guns.
@sawtoothtactical404
@sawtoothtactical404 Год назад
Yep. 2-3/4" high brass seems to work the best, for sure!

Turkish saw the weapons ban and met the need and i dont know how Americans didn't do this first. Long gun, but can be shortened with choke muzzle break changeout. Difficult to find, but daniel defense sights at ready when i attempt pirchase in couple wks
@sawtoothtactical404
@sawtoothtactical404 11 месяцев назад
Smart thinking with the sights. A pair that actually locks in place would be a lot more effective than the ones that come on it.

@@sawtoothtactical404yeah Daniel defense are set and they clamp and tighten vice having to slide sights
@joehuff4025

Sights are better served on a .223 but they came on it . I like the MKA 1919 it has a front sight post and carry handle, best iron sights a gun can have.
@sawtoothtactical404
@sawtoothtactical404 Год назад
That would be more appropriate for something like this, I think.
@thedailywin537

Did the barrel shroud heat up, to the point that it was too warm to hold, during your range time? Or were you just filming a few 5 shell dumps for the video? Other reviewers usually mention the importance of installing a vertical [Keymod] foregrip on the GF25 (aka MKX3) precisely because the aluminum chassis doesn't provide sufficient clearance for barrel cooling during sustained run time.
@sawtoothtactical404
@sawtoothtactical404 26 дней назад
I could see that being an issue. I put a lot of rounds through it in a pretty short amount of time and it definitely didn't get too hot to hold, but it did heat up a bit.

I've noticed that. They definitely run, as long as you figure out which rounds will cycle reliably.

What makes this a Radikal MKX-3 vs their GF25. It looks almost exactly like mine and it is the Gforce Arms GF25
@sawtoothtactical404
@sawtoothtactical404 11 месяцев назад
I've seen the GF25, too, and it looks exactly the same, as far as I can tell. This one says MKX-3 on it, though...?

Own a GF99DLX the only difference in any of these seems to be the barrel shrouds, and mine is a fixed modified choke.

It's the same thing. GForce uses MKX3 and GF25 interchangeably for the same weapon. Per a rep at the company HQ in Reno, NV, they import the model under one name and sell it under another. This is why you'll see both MKX3 and GF25 evident on the receiver.

It is a LR308 not a AR12. Ar12 is proprietary to armalite lowers only! The LR308 was designed by dpms and is used by all other companies as well! Armalite still had the ar12 platform patented so this is why dpms build their own and became the industry standard for ar 12 platforms that are not armalite!
@sawtoothtactical404

I thought LR308 was an AR10 pattern, not 12 Gauge shotgun, but I could be wrong, I guess...

I'm trying to remember. I don't have that shotgun in my possession anymore. I did figure it out when I had it, though... If I remember right, it unlocked the bolt, so that you could charge it without having to pull the trigger first.

I have two bullpups. Love them. Nothing better for home defense. About the same size as a shockwave, can be shoulder/aim fired, takes 10 round mags or 20 round drums. The key to breaking them in is to lock the bolt open for a month before shooting it.

Panzer has the best bullpup package right now. The Tokarevs are common right now also.
