Excellent content as always Ewan. I see no need for you to apologise for the frequency of your videos; we are fortunate to be able to follow your journey and I personally much prefer to see the quality you produce on a less frequent basis rather than some of the more regular, and inferior content that many others produce. The quality of your film productions is always worth the wait. Thank you for sharing your work. Steve
Hey Adam, sorry about the delay in replying. Yup 102MP.. IS insane, but surprisingly beautiful files (i thought they may have been noisy). There has been a pixel shift firmware upgrade made available for the camera which makes it a 400MP sensor (similar to the fifty thousand pound (GBP) Hasselblad h6d-400c). Four hundred megapixels?... wtflip? Also comes with a knee buckling 2.4GB FILE SIZE! ? Cheers Adam, Ewan
@@EwanDunsmuirImages OK 400 is overkill for anything I'd want to do 🤣 100 is overkill for me! But I can see the need and the appeal. Would be interesting to know how big it could be printed and the necessary viewing distance for it!
@@TheNonsenseAdventures - yeah, would be insane. My stuff printed at 150 -200 MP can be printed to 2.5 m on the long edge at 1280DPI with a viewing distance of under 12 inches. (thats more or less squashing your face up against it looking for flaws... which of course - there are none of) LOL. It would be insane as you rightly say. NOt quite sure my computer would cope, nor my hard drives! Its quite interesting as the feedback from the GFX community is.. "WHY?" ! Cheers Adam, Ewan
Always great to view your VLOGS Ewan. I do see(hear ) & like the differences between the 2 presentation styles. In the end it is you and your distinct calm style that makes the VLOGS so enjoyable. The GFX 100 looks to be a wonderful MF camera but the price tag gave me palpitations (LOL). Glenn Mckimmin has also just don a VLOG for the GFX100. Glenn is a great photographer like yourself and he is also very impressed with the camera. Always enjoy your videos and I'm looking forward to the next episode....inspirational in such a calm way! Cheers.
Thoughtful and insightful as always. I just watched a video of a gent sailing a dinghy on a VERY calm bit of water but the music was super intense, and it just destroyed the video! If he had used a calm and relaxing soundtrack it could have been quite enjoyable. Love your style keep it up and looking forward to your next release!
Hi Joseph - It wont come as a surprise that it struggles sometime, especially when going bit 3gB panos. I have been looking at something custom built especially for the big files and 4K video. = ) Ewan
Hi Steve. Im sorry mate - I have just found a repository with a whole lot of unanswered comments in it. I should probably do a talk with Photogear in Auckland at some point. We have been speaking about public engagements for a little while! Kind regards Ewan
