They always play loud music at his workouts now. It's like they're trying to cover up the fact his punches don't make that loud gunshot sound anymore on the pads like in his prime. He does look quicker here than he has in awhile, though. I'm still very suspicious that either the weight cut method under Abel, or the high altitude training in Big Bear, was responsible for a lot of his decline, not just age. For some reason even changing trainers, he's still training at high altitude, so clearly that's the same, but I wonder if they've at least improved the way he makes weight and rehydrates. We'll see. I also thought he got too big under Abel. Too many weights. Slowed him down and took the snap off his punches. I mean, could have been any of those three factors, or all three. But maybe he needed to be that big at 160 when suddenly you got light heavyweights like Jacobs fighting at 160. In that case GGG though GGG should have stayed at his best, lean weight and just fought at 154, where he would have been even more dominant, and also had way more big fight opportunities 147 to 160.
