Also another problem is our democratic process. Every eight years the Government changes and has different priorities so Guaranteed when NDC come into power they will target other factors and also drop some of the NPP policies so it will be like starting all over again. UAE and China don't have these issues so they can see a plan through from start to finish..
This is why under Kwame Nkrumah the One-Party System was tried which many politicians at that time allowed themselves to be deluded with the so called "Multiparty System" which they crowned as the prerequisite for "Democracy”. Apparently, democracy does not have the same meaning in or for all Nations; because neither Equal Rights nor Justice is applied to everyone where multiparty system is practiced, not even in India besides Western Nations. Should democracy be tested accordingly as defined in or by western nations, as well as those who hail such Countries or "Notions", we will come to conclusions that these thoughts are simply constructs. Africa therefore needs to construct a paradigm that suits her CULTURE. Here CULTURE needs to be understood as the Container which absorbs or her Philosophycal ideals clearly.
Agree! Jamaica is bringing some things under law, so same does not happen; because it has happened in the past. Nothing gets done, and tax payers money gets lost in a system that only cause waste and room for corruption!!
Ghana's target should be to process 100% of its cocoa! There is no reason why Switzerland and France and Belgium should be making more money of Ghana's cocoa than Ghana itself is making.
When you have the greater youth population who only rely on the government but can't think outside the box to find something for themselves example, farming and learning a handy work for their own future. If the youth are not involved in this vision It will be difficult.Also there should be a law that will force continuety of government projects when we change government.

The problem is the party system. If another party comes to power they change every plan. That is why I suggest that we have 7 years plan like what we used to have during Nkurumah's time. That plan is for the people so that no political party can change it. Another suggestion. Scrap the political party system and let all Ghanaians become members of one party. Put term limits. That is no one can serve more than two terms. Maintain democracy but everyone will belong to the party. All elections should be financed by the government. Every citizen can stand for election. If we can do that the country will improve immediately.
We've been hearing these songs since the beginning of this government. "Ghana beyond Aid" and the likes... what has happened to that. Now, I don't hear that song again. Yet, they are earning their fat salaries and bonuses. Politicians are only taking the citizens for a ride. They are all the same!
External forces sponsoring greedy compatriots to overthrow governments that they didn't agree with; and consolidating their powers, looting our resources and sending the loots to foreign banks. Those were our main hindrances to growth. So shall we remain in poverty in we continue calling for things like coup d'etat in Ghana 🇬🇭. Democracy has been a challenge to Africa because of our demographic make up. But when properly executed brings competition; hence, growth. We cannot blame the colonialists anymore. How do you expect a government that inherited four years of dumsor economy from mahama and in the process of changing the Ghanaian economy under 4yrs got hit by covid and lastly the war in Ukraine, where do you expect the funds to help grow the country economy. Here in UK the hardships are real and beyond the whole world economies...

How can a people advance when the most important thing to them is to worship white Jesus and prepare for haven. Ghana found 300 million us dollars to build a church so they can worship Jesus, they have no appreciation of their own way of life or their ancestors cultures, just white people. The first country to achieve independence should be far ahead right now, but they are stuck in time. Ghana needs to stop worshiping white Jesus and white people and focus on developing their country.
