Judging by appearance only, this seems to be the most sophisticated local homebuilt plane I have seen made by amateurs in Africa. I wish you good luck and success to these industrious young people!
I agree!...for once the proportions are pretty good! Although it looks to be too heavy & underpowered to actually fly, this is a good effort by the brothers👏👏👏
Yes the appearance looks very good at least it looks like a plane but kindly I think we joke alot because aeroplanes cruise down the runway then fly up into the sky above.
They reinvented the concept of aeroplane by making it a non-flying machine. Amazing! Special mention to the brave reporter who actually rode that contraption. Bravo!
@@PibrochPonder i don't think its safe to fly. So i don't they would invent any thing that could possibly fly across the sky.Just for their safety issues they don't make that could fly
These guys have bigs dreams and have actually produced something tangible to prove their concept. Still, a long way to go though but this a clear indication that given the enabling circumstances, Africa and its youth are more than capable lead technological innovation. Thumbs up. Will be thrilled to see a flying version of this craft. One can visibly see that these guys need a bit of financial support for their daily upkeep. It's tough our there when affording good nutrition is even a challenge for some of these talents. How possibly can they compete in the real world?
Benjamin Irish - I have seen many of these homebuilt aircraft. One of their many faults is that they never leave the ground. All of these planes are built utilizing heavy steel components and weigh close to a tonne using underpowered makeshift engines.
“If it look like airplane, it airplane.” These people have no grasp of the underlying principles. They copy what they can understand: the form. To them it’s magic, and the shell of the aircraft is the incantation. The spell is flight.
Flying the craft really takes skill. The license is a guarantee that the pilots and the community are safe during the flight. I hope to see them fly soon.
This has got nothing to do with Africans but has everything to do with those two guys with their toy craft, and possibly, their country. Leave other countries out of it. There's no design here, planes were designed 100's of years ago. Your thinking is lame, cheap and embarrassing.
I actually work in the aviation industry designing parts for light aircraft. The brothers achievements are fantastic. And I wish them the very best. They must attempt to get the aircraft off the ground for investors to take them seriously. But their efforts are commendable. Well done.
The government off Ghana need to support this young mind 💯 with all necessary support so we can have African airlines made in Africa bravo my brother yes you can
I can't believe I'm the first person to like this after 91,000 plus viewers. I pray you are supported by the sort of sponsoring you have been looking for. Let's keep this alive on an update. Wishing you all the best. I notice you are prayerful, may God bless you both!
I am all for encouragement but you're right...all over Africa I see these young engineers pop up like mushrooms and never see one plane fly . We Africans are so gullible. We keep trying to recreate the wheel when it's already been created.
@@christopherklove5483 to prove what exactly Klove?? that planes can fly?? the concept of flying has not been a secret since 1903, any 10 year old with a smart phone knows how/why a plane flies. Anyone with a high school diploma can surf the net and find the plans on how to build most basic plane models. Yes! these young ppl are smart, but you guys are putting too much butter on the pancake. cheers
@@SenkJu it can actually fly tho . i am sure theyflew it off camera. They just need a license to fly.it. Since you know its on National News. If it went up even a few feet i am sure the Govt would have fined them
Gotta appreciate innovation, yes the engine is underpowered and of course in its current state it cannot fly, but hats off for this man having a dream of touching the clouds.
Eugene Atta Attadjei and how can they do the flying test without the license? At least let us support our own bcuz black ppl are capable of doing everything.
What’s important is given them the permit to be airborne. Because people who are ready to support need to be sure there is value for their investment. No mind games. What if this thing can not fly after all. There is a lot of engineering hurdles to clear
Well, they probably checked the centre of gravity to prevent weight in-balance , then measured how many Kg or pounds of thrust the engines can carry and make sure that the plane is lighter than the answer they get from the measurements, then they can also make sure that the horizontal stabilizers or elevators are working like they should and also make sure that the wings produce enough lift, and if they know they passed all these tests then for sure it will fly.
@@sankfatv7433 Why does race matter?? These two have a very basic understanding of aircraft design. Nothing more. That's the result of a lack of education, not race.
They need more education. Building from scratch is like going back to the Stone age. In this jet age, we should build more vocational schools to take care of all these stuff.
@@daviwilliam281, You're absolutely right. The African Government has not advanced enough to eliminate Racism, we here in the United States are barely into it but we are further advanced than the African nations.
@@daviwilliam281 @david williams This has nothing to do with white or black. Do you know that this skills are not new. Creativity is all about coming up with something new from the existing knowledge. Be original.
@@daviwilliam281 Racism is dead a long time ago. Money talks. If you want better metals to make aircraft you can get them at a cheaper rate from United States. They will not even ask you if you are Black or White. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! You can curse them or call them racist and they will not beat you, arrest you or physically harm you. When people are flying drones for fun and trying uncertified aviation school projects in various universities out there. But see how we Africans make it so hard for ourselves to progress..These men possess an idea that can change the future of Africa. We are always confident with supporting foreign projects and ideas, but not our own. Simply because of a license there dream will eventually be forgotten.
You boys from Ghana have made Africa proud. I wish Nigeria will learn from you, how to support positivity rather than fostering hopeless negetivity. We still spend time here discusing such trivialities like cattle and herdsmen. Its amusing!
Imagine someone who has never flown, without any contact with the world of aviation or physics, build a plane. And this is still 100x better than most african DIY "planes"
There are many videos on RU-vid showing home build aircraft, this is not an easy task, you got to have a very good understanding of aerodynamics, and many are killed just trying become airborne,. safety is # 1
Congratulations Ghana for these Revolutionists you have produced for Africa Let us stop these self hate comments on African progression....That will not take Africa anywhere. It will only do more damage before it is done on us Think for and of Africa not your country specifically, Then we are good to go.....CONGRATULATIONS TO THE AFRICAN BROTHERS.
No, they're not lacking of resources Africa has half of the world's minerals like diamonds, gold, iron and etc. The problem is corruption and lack of uneducated people.......
You can start up a plane project by doing the robot first or a drone then you progress the success in the drone into man piloting. I mean, instead of remote piloting, you progress to man piloting. Never forget a parachute. You must have all the requisites for aviation and aeroplaning to make your journey safe.
I’ve yet to see any of these African machines actually get airborne. This looks impressive but it’s actually far far too heavy. Weight is everything with aircraft, and this would need a much more powerful engine to get off the ground. The equations are readily available.
