My friend went to India for few weeks and her ground floor flat, situated on a busy street got burgled. Even TV, umbrella, trumpet like big items gone in addition to jewellery and other small things. Curiously, police could not work out how they came in bcz all access points were locked and there was no apparent sign of tampering. They had left their keys with acquaintances to water the plants. Few more such cases were reported by students and other residents.
I am glad that you are safe. Kudos for keeping calm. As a former student and now a resident here, I can share that burglary, harassment on streets, and other such events are quite frequent in almost all cities in UK. Scary for people like us who can’t retaliate even in self defence. I know of many such incidents in the student and friend circle here. Better to be on guard, move in group, keep safe timings and avoid dingy areas and alleyways. London is particularly high risk I guess.
@@Dream_UK Yeah we had insurance for all of them, we claimed as well. The trauma we went through during the next 6 months after the burglary was terrible. happend in 2023.🥲
I used to face shop pickers while working in subway alone no one even couldn’t do anything as most of them were teenagers, though i changed my job after facing that for few months continuously as it was getting worse😶 and it really affected my mental health and worse thing my manager was not helpful at all shitty guy used to ask me to complain on my behalf.
