An expensive new model from GHD.
Fortunately, after tearing it down, the good news is that we can repair damaged mains cables, elements, thermal fuses and other cosmetic parts.
I don't really see any benefit over the much cheaper Platinum Plus model.
Mine has an annoying buzz from the on/off button caused by the piezo buzzer being too close.
20 second heat up time was nearer 24 seconds and the temperature attained was 190 degs C, a fraction high but a normal variation we see daily.
Full tear down to follow for engineers only.
This not a model the consumer or DIY repairer should ever attempt to repair.
