What’s the part number for the spindles???
@DaysofPainandVictory
@DaysofPainandVictory 10 месяцев назад
I'm not sure, they were from a donor car

Does the drum brake pedal assembly need to be replaced with the disc brake pedal assembly?
@DaysofPainandVictory
@DaysofPainandVictory Год назад
I think the drum brake assembly will work, but you have to mount the push rod for the master cylinder on a different hole. Take a peek at your pedal, there should be another spot for the push rod if I remember correctly

Hi, I have a Like New 1970 Impala, 4DSD. 350/250HP 2BBL, TH350 Trans, 10 bolt open corporate rear, 31K actual non rolled over Original Miles. Original Shiny Gold Paint, Original Mint Black Vinyl Top, almost perfect like not ever sat in Gold Interior. It is in the shop having "Classic Auto Air" AC Installed now. I do not turn wrenches anymore. Would you be interested in doing this conversion for me. I do not want to lower the car with the 2" drop spindle kit. I am hoping I do not need to end up getting the power disc brake kit with the Corvette parts, that kit changes the geometry of the front end by moving the wheels out about 1/2" on each side. I do have a 4 post lift in my garage. The lift has a Jack Plate on it to do front end work. If anybody else wants to do it, I am in E. Tn. The car is a low option car. The observed options are, Remote (joystick) drivers side Rear View Mirror, Front passenger side door rear view mirror, Vinyl top, AM radio (I put in a retro looking stereo), Power Steering, Cloth interior and factory original 15"X7"Rally Wheels. I had some pinholes in the original exhaust so I ordered the factory original duals complete with the resonators (from Waldron's Exhaust, the company that makes the blueprinted exhaust for Jay Leno's Garage), I was hoping it would have a nice note, but it is almost totally silent. I am hoping to eventually upgrade the springs, shocks and add the rear sway bar. I also have an original Winters Foundry (snowflake) LT-1 intake that would go nicely with an Lt-1 cam, Dual snorkel air cleaner and a nice set of LT-1 valve covers.

Sounds like a cool car! Being in Tennessee makes it logistically difficult. Maybe someone else will be interested? If you have any cars to trade for the work send me an email

How much did it cost to replace and fix up the car all together? It is my dream car and I would like to build one up….only problem is I know jack about cars😂

I bought the car for 400 bucks from my mom and dad. I've probably put 5000 bucks into it over the years. RU-vid and the driveway are great places to start learning, go buy some tools, a project, and start wrenching!

Why is it all the classic cars that I’ve seen lately the rims are always red. Was that a fad back then, my dad always painted his red also.
@DaysofPainandVictory
@DaysofPainandVictory 2 года назад
I think it looks good with the flat black, I mainly did it because I had the rims, my old Cragars were totally shot and couldn't be balanced, and I needed tires. I had these powder coated by Les Schwab for 25 bucks a pop

I have the exact same car as you do. I installed "The right stuff: drop spindle kit. They basically make me use the old Steering knuckle arms, but they make the tie rod ground clearance waaaaay too close. What steering arm knuckle are you using in the video?
@DaysofPainandVictory
@DaysofPainandVictory 3 года назад
Oh nice I didn't know anyone besides classic industries made a drop spindle for this car! the steering arm is from a factory disc brake 69 impala
