this is a simply mind blowing fusion of hindustani music and rock. i loved advaits vocals too. his voice has got a fantastic texture. would love to listen to more of such fusions.

This is has to be my most favorite rendition of the original. I do feel, however, that although Advaita & Lesle Lewis composed and wrote THIS version of the song, it is imperative you mention Arti's, Sardari Begum's and Javed Akhtar's names in your description. For viewers who are unfamiliar with the origin of this song, it is important you educate them.

Amazing performance! The original album version (grounded in space) is my preferred one though. The cameraman has made a mess to shoot live performance, but this was season 1 of the Coke Studio so everyone was learning.

This is an amazing rendition but it is not written/composed by Advaita. This song is from Sardari Begum and is sung by Arti Tikekar, lyrics by Javed Akhtar.

Hi! song writing also means writing the composition and the structure of the song. It is composed and written by Advaita (They haven't claimed for the lyrics). Hope this solves the doubt :)

Dear CS @ mtv team. Pay no attention to what the critics say; there has never been a statue erected to a critic. Fantastic work till now. Probably 12-15 videos of current season will find a place in best songs ever in COKE STUDIO (both the version/country). It is a great moment to enjoy pure music, diversity,culture and every individual should possess the courage to applause something good rather having a negative attitude.

Nice song...... CS @ mtv should introduce such upcoming talent to the musical fraternity.Please L. Lewis don't listen to the negative comments given by few individual. It is mere envy rather then real complain. They have a notion that such commnets will diminise the stature of such a mega show. Best of luck and focus and be choosy with singer quality.
