You should definitely react to Cirice it's probably their best song. Ghost are so good they're very different but you really come to love the music even if it's not heavy. Great band saw them live here in Ireland a while ago and it was amazing!
@@WalkingEast yeah thats a hard no.. They are good don't get me wrong. But some of the best live shows ever played are from some that are dead and gone.
My favorite "new" band over the last years along with Gojira and Architects when it comes to rock/metal. It might be a bit soft for you but you will end up loving their music. You should try the songs "Cirice" or "Rats", with great guitar riffs and a darker vibe than this.
I hate to be "that guy" (even though I really do like their newer stuff) people really need to listen to Opus Eponymous. Still my favorite album and sound from them
@@djomla9999 completely agree, they have absolutely got better songs than Cirice. Every album brings something else entirely different to the table. Ritual and monstrance clock are definitely at the top for me. Square Hammer is up there too.
Haven't started the video yet but I hope you dig it. Ghost is easily one of my all-time favorite bands. Each album sounds different, and with a different theme for each album, they don't become stagnant like other arena rock bands.
Completely agree! I never get tired of listening to them. They are always bringing something new to the table. They have music to fit any mood you are in. Overall just a great band.
Ghost is awesome. The doom/groove metal sound is mostly in their first album. They've become a bit more commercialized with their last release or two focusing on songs that are fun to play in arena shows since they got big. But they're all about the performance aspect. And because of that, they're incredibly fun to see live. I've seen them 3 times now and they never disappoint.
Glad you liked it, need to check out cirice and square hammer, both insanely great. They’re very theatrical so you definitely need to check out one of their concerts, still my favorite concert til this day.
Nice to see that my request got a reaction and I am happy that you liked it. another crazy good Rock Band for me is Kvelertak from Norway, they are mixing Black Metal with Rock&Roll. Keep up the good work man! - Conrad
Lyrically, the song is about the Black Plague - a theme across the entire Prequelle album - specifically about how people would literally dance and party until they died to cope with the illness.
If you listen to any rock radio station for just an hour, I guarantee you they will play at least one Ghost song in that time. This band is on the radio all the time. But I can't blame the people. Most Ghost songs are really catchy and I actually enjoyed a couple of songs of their Prequelle album. Good idea trying to get some more variation on the channel dude. I'm all for it! 👍🏻
You should definitely try reacting to a few others by them. This is good, but it's very poppy. They have better tracks like Cirice, Year Zero, Faith, Ritual, From the Pinnacle to the Pit and Secular Haze.
As much as it is poppy it is still my favorite along with Mary on a Cross. I love Infestissumam but their new stuff is what I like the most, it's so catchy in the best way possible
I really like to see you branch out a bit... check out IDLE HANDS for a cross of The Cure / Tears for Fears vibes sprinkled with some heavy metal. or some 60s/70s stuff like Greta Van Fleet, Kadavar or Horisont... oh, or Blues/Heavy Metal cross like Aeon Temple. or go crazy with some Jazz... or Jazz&metal crossovers which inlcude, but are not limited to: Gorguts, Imperial Triumphant, Deathspell Omega, Spektr, Cynic, Atheist, Pestilence, Panzerballet. Or for some crazy technical metal stuff: Spawn of Possession, Obscura, Cryptopsy, The Faceless, Beyond Creation
Oh I want to branch out a bit. Some of those tech death bands are on the channel man! Check out Obscura and Beyond Creation on the channel. But thanks for all the great recommendations 🤘🏼
Europe was in this turmoil in the late 1340s. The plague is extremely fast. It starts off as the worst flu you've ever had and then it just goes worse and then you're dead after three days. So people were lying in the streets - corpses and all the surroundings were just falling apart. All the brothels and pubs were thriving because people started partying literally like there was no tomorrow because they were gonna die. They were just going for it. "Dance Macabre" is capturing that joyous nocturnal sort of life in a disco song
A Perfect Circle: “Judith,” “3 Libras,” “The Outsider,” “Orestes” Tool: “Schism,” “Sober” Soundgarden: “Fell On Black Days,” “Burden in my Hand” Nirvana: “Heart Shaped Box” are some great rock songs
If you want more rock I'd recommend The night flight orchestra. They are a ABBA influensed rockband also from sweden and what they're going for as for theme is super unique. It's like you go back to the 80s and listen to a bunch of soundtracks from flight movies like top gun. But it's more Rocky as I said
Dance Macabre is a great song, but not the one I would've chosen to introduce anybody to the band! All my Ghost fans, what song do you usually start people out on when trying to convert them? For me, it's Square Hammer.
The question should be which Papa do you show them first Papa Emeritus III Square Hammer is a good one. But what songs of the other Papas would you suggest?
I’ve just recently got into them. Still exploring them but the first song I heard by them was Square Hammer and it was enough to get me to take the dive.
@@chrisweaver7132 Papa Nihil - Kiss the Go Goat Papa Emeritus I - Satan Prayer Papa II - Jigolo Har Megiddo Papa III - Square Hammer Cardi C - Faith These aren't necessarily my favorites for each, but I do think they capture the essence of each Papa best.
Ghost are so great. Square Hammer, Cirice, Year Zero are good ones off the top of my head, but they’ve got hella good songs. He Is is one of their more unique ones, but definitely great as well.
Otherwise, some good rock bands are Starset (electronic rock) and Badflower (rock/punk). I’ve also been listening to a bit of FIDLAR (skate punk/garage punk)
Ghost is one of my newer favourite bands. But this song is not among their best. From this album I would choose Rats or Faith. Other songs are Cirice, He Is, Year Zero, Elizabeth and many more.
Just found this channel - I really love metal and hard rock, and Ghost is one of my favorites! The album this song is from is all about the Black Plague - so the song is about essentially dancing in the streets before you bite it from plague. For more rock, BAND-MAID - Freedom (Live 2020) is what you need, I don't think it gets much better than that!
If you want more rock songs i suggest you look into Danko Jones. for example, They have a music video trilogy, (had enough, full of regret and I think bad toughts) so it should work out great to react to, and a good showcase of what kind of band they are.
Ghost is an interesting band. Its kind of based that if the devil want to get your souls he will do it by music many listen to and not death metal. Then there is a lot of stories with many layers. This is a story about the lead singer how he turns to evil, but it is also a song about the plague and how he wants to have a final kiss with his dying loved one even if he knows it will kill him to. And how many decided to party during the plague as you knew you would die anyway. All Ghost songs have many layers like that and they are all connected to a bigger story being told even between albums
If you’re in to horror and Halloween and stuff, you should listen to Ice Nine Kills. They are a hardrock/metalcore band where horror is a huge esthetic in their music but also their looks and stuff. I recommend the album The Silver Scream
It took me a while to think of a good recommendation because a lot of rock music now days isn’t good. (In my opinion), but you should check out Dayshell! It’s fronted by the old clean singer of Of Mice & Men. I would recommend either Pressure, Low Light, or Car Sick. Every song they make is great so you can’t go wrong honestly. Lol Loved the video, keep up the great work! 👍🏽
I'd love for you to check out Weatherman by Dead Sara man! Great rock tune, and vocalist Emily Armstrong has a solid, raspy rock voice with amazing energy. Would you also be up for doing math rock, alternative shoegaze or neo-soul bands? I'd love to share groups like Teenage Wrist, Tricot and Black Pumas with you! So glad you are mixing it up.
Comparing this particular song of theirs to Mummy Dust, Cirice, Helvetesfonter, and Mary on a Cross give a great range of the band's output. Their style ranges INSANELY wide held together by kayfabe lore and a very strong aesthetic. The creator of the band wasn't even public knowledge until a lawsuit forced him out of hiding. In certain parts of the fandom it's a running joke that no one can figure out what genre of music this band is.
Ghost is a fun band with lots of cool band lore and story lines. Got to do Squarehammer, Cirice, other great songs. Also, for a crazy video and great rock song do MASTODON - MOTHERLOAD. I guarantee you will laugh out loud....
I love Dance Macabre but I think it's not the best song to introduce you to Ghost. It's a little more gimmicky in being an 80s song parody. (Similar to how something like 'He Is' is an excellent song by them but would give the wrong impressions of the band if it was the first song of theirs someone heard). I'd recommend checking out 'Cirice' or 'Square Hammer', maybe 'Rats' to get a better idea of them.
METALBIRB I mostly agree dude. The gameplay is smooth, graphics are amazing and the sounds are great. I agree when it’s not as exciting or fresh and I’m salty af about something haha. The story is. Interesting haha. Hope you enjoy the rest of it and keep rocking dude!🤘🤘
Probably my favorite Ghost song; it has a solid groove to it that I love. As for rock band suggestions, I would check out Nine Lashes and their latest single, Dear Self. It’s pretty standard, but I love it a lot.
If you want Rock, you should check out Velvet Revolver - Dirty Little Thing if you haven't heard them before. Band members are half Guns N' Roses and half Stone Temple Pilots
Ghost is so good. Sure they get hated in all but for some reason it’s good to me. That album is great. Would check out the song faith. Really nice hard rock song than dance macabre.
I'm still gonna give the video thumbs up as I always do, I just wanna throw my impressions on here. Even though I don't generally listen to rock music, I mean I won't switch it if this plays in the background, but what really struck me was the cheesy wordplay in the chorus. I mean, the lyrics could have been muuuch better.
You should check out some Living Colour songs like Wall, Sacred Ground, Type, Out of mind, Never Satisfied and New Jack Theme are some great songs by them.
