I love the muted tone of this track. It reminds me of listening to a grammaphone in another room. Really does a good job giving off that lonely ghost house feeling.
It's gotten to the point where I think -"Rrthiel's unnamed SMW hack OST"- What a Mario World OST might be my album of the year. So much variety and all of it at such a high level
Love the vibes, ghostly waltz music always fits the Boos real well. Reminds me a lot of Shovel Knight's more classical stuff too. I love how you've consistently done new, creative stuff for this OST, I can't wait to see what more variety is in store.
I was thinking of Jake Kaufman too by the end of the first loop! Also there must've been some influence from the Fortress theme to Yoshi's Island at the beginning
Dude I love how the ghost house track it’s a environmental waltz track. And makes a lot of surprising sense since the ghost houses are old abandoned houses
Having this music be paired with a name like “what a Mario World” is kind of amazing Some of the best Super Famicom music period combined with some of the nicest looking Mario sprites i’ve seen in recent memory
Admittedly took me a bit to realize that this still has a sense of unease to it, even if it's not to the same extent as the original. That being said, another great composition!
i kno its obvious to freakin crazy chiptuneheads who cant get enough of this stuff but this reminds me so much of shovel knight its unreal. different in terms of the mix though, instead of triumphant and boisterous like shovel knight this is more muted and contemplative.. really good theme for a ghost house, even if its not too spooky :)
