Ghost Hunting shows like Ghost Adventures, the various seasons of Buzzfeed Unsolved, Ghost Hunters or Paranormal state all use devices like the EMF meter, SB7 Spirit box, EVP Recordings, SLS camera or The Rem pod. But do they work? Is Zak Bagans for real? Can an EMF meter detect ghosts or paranormal activity? Does ghost hunting equipment work and detect ghosts? Can we talk to the after life? In this video I debunk ghost hunter devices and ghost detection devices and give context to paranormal research.

My wife and I have stayed the night a few times at a local bed and breakfast that is purportedly haunted. One night we happened to be there on the same night that a ghost hunting group was investigating. We were invited to join them, so we did. I tried to explain all of the things that are being explained in this video to my wife and she called me a "buzzkill". People hate having their precious superstitions shot down. That being said, I'm not necessarily a disbeliever in ghosts, spirits or whatever. I like to think of myself as an open-minded skeptic, meaning that lack of evidence isn't definite proof that something isn't a real phenomenon. I've never seen a jackal in person but I'm fairly sure they exist.

while you go on a ghost hunt you have to suspend your disbelief if you wanna have the full fun. Constantly remarking how the buzzing box does nothing but buzz randomly ABSOLUTELY kills the spooky mood.

100% agree buddy .I was a hobbyist for 50 years building all sorts of projects I can read a circuit and know most basic circuitry .When all this ghost devices started I knew it was scam .I've tried to tell people but they just don't want to believe.If I was a crook I could build simple devices and rip off people .I can't, I fix things for my neighbours and friends mostly for free .I just charge for expensive parts .My hobby went to computers in the early days we turned the ZX81 into an organ using the buzz off the TV yet it has no audio components. So interference is in all sorts of devices .This is what they are doing I hate it but do watch the shows hoping they will see a 'real' ghost they would scare themselves stupid lol

That's a reasonable way of looking at these things .One should never jump to conclusions that it's a spirit or ghost etc . I'm a sceptic thru and thru and I've been looking for 60 years for reasonable evidence .One thing I've learnt the internet will never provide it .Scanners and electromagnetic devices are not proof of anything but anomalies in buildings .Temperature will always vary in buildings .The simplest explanation is the best .What happens is people scare the crap out of each other .Lights and shadows are normal where windows ,mirrors and torches are concerned .In pure darkness there is nothing I went into my uncles coalmine we turned off our lamps and the blackness was so solid we could almost touch it. Despite my reluctance to believe in anything 'supernatural' like the great Randi said ,"I'm willing to be convinced " .However extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

As a kid, I got a very cheap handheld ultrasound pickup device (it was for listening to bats, because I was obsessed about bats). I figured out that this device, when next to the radiator heating pipes, it could pick up a local radio station which I found incredibly interesting. I assume many of those little devices work similarly.

What I’ve learned is; trying to perform a theramin concert would be an absolute nightmare…. In all seriousness though, these devices are specifically and intentionally designed to provide JUST enough randomized output that a “ghost hunter” will be able to attribute certain outputs with their given stimuli (after editing out every occurrence of stimuli producing no output)

My mother told me once an incident which occoured in our apartment, when i was a child. Our direct neighbor was an elderly women, which had never a good word for others... especially for my mother. She hid, for instance, paperscraps under the carpet at the apartment floor, just to see if my mother cleaned it well enough. One morning my mother told us from a weird dream. Our doorbell rang and as my mother opened the door, the apartment door from that granny stood open. She took a few steps, peeked inside and saw that lady in her sleepingdress... The old woman told my mother that she's sorry for her behaviour... At this moment, she was already dead. She died that night.

So-called "spirit boxes" have always struck me as being worthless junk. It's clear that there is music coming through, and the ghost hunters grab onto random sounds that they interpret with meaning. It's really silly, but ghost hunters generally have an agenda that doesn't include rational discussion or skepticism.

Not necessarily, we have to remember, that plane is part of this same fabric we call life, when we die, we are no longer on this plane of existence so communication is still possible but now vastly different from that of the human experience. Once we transition, we are no longer connected to the human fabric of existence. Out of all the devices mentioned, the digital audio recorder is the only device that I feel that has the least amount of contamination that can occur with it (and it, along with a camera, are the only two items I use for investigating). I have gotten some very clear audio responses through the recorder. When these responses occur, there is usually an audible click that can be heard either before, after, or both before and after the response. The more intense in energy the response is, the more audible the click. Many of these responses have also either been a direct reply to a question made during an investigation, or an observation related to the activity of investigating.

Since you asked, I grew up in a "haunted house" The house is the oldest in around (which is nothing insane given America, but old for America, Minnesota specifically) and it's recent occupants before us had been a couple generations of taxidermist. All the "haunting" we got was a stuff you might at first want to write off as old house stuff, but live there, especially for decades, and stuff happens that's not just old house stuff. Most obvious I have is being home alone on the ground floor, all the upstairs rooms are bedrooms with closed doors (worth nothing the activity was always limited to the ground floor and stairs) I was sitting in a recliner reading (around 3 am) and I start hearing running up and down the stairs (the usual) I can turn my head and see the entirety of the wrappig staircase, so I turn and say "hey I am gonna be up so you better deal" honestly as a joke to make myself feel better about it, and then hear, at least 3x louder than normal stomping up the stairs and a door SLAM! Slam worse than I did having problems as a teenager, and it was silent the rest of the weekend. (This was after I moved out and was house sitting for a week while my family was on vacation while I was in college. Before this I slept in the room with the best stair audio, and the same hours every night you'd hear walking about and down the stairs)

@PhotoTrekr What you term 'science' rarely if ever deems the paranormal as remotely legitimate or worthy of investigation. It's a hoot; they're just as prejudice about what interests they hold compared to what they mostly condemn out of hand. Curiously, this has nothing to do with the likelihood of the existence of spirits, aliens, or anything else considered fringe beliefs. Entertainment really does not fit the category either. Neither relate to this topic.

I worked in a small 9 bedroom community mental health rehab unit, which included night shifts. Nothing unusual happened for about 3 years, although I had overheard the occasional conversation between staff about something happening on night shifts. There were a couple of areas in the building that that gave me an uneasy feeling for no obvious reason. One night I was on duty with a nurse, everyone had gone to be, so we were watching TV in the lounge. In the early hours all of a sudden it was as though world war three had erupted upstairs. Furniture being dragged along the wooden floor and being thrown all over the place. Things being thrown around with force. And this all emanated from the area of one room which wasn't in use (and was rarely used), and was a room I always felt uneasy in. I looked at the nurse, and she looked at me - although she didn't seem particularly shocked. I exclaimed "What the f--- is going on!", jumped up and ran upstairs. When I reached the upstairs corridor there was no noise at all - totally silent. I went to the room where the noise had come from, unlocked it, and looked inside - nothing - everything was as it should be. I even checked the walls, inside cupboards, wardrobe and floor and all was in order. I left the room locking it behind me, then I went to everyone's room to check on them. All fast asleep - nothing unusual at all. The level of noise should have woken at least a couple of them. Now very confused, I went back down to the living room and said to the nurse "Am I imagining things?" and she said "No - it happens sometimes." and left it at that. I wasn't in the frame of mind to ask anything else! An hour or so later the nurse told me she was taking her hour break and went off to one of the offices we used at night. A little while later I heard some movement in the corridor next to the lounge, so went to the doorway and looked up and down thinking that it may be the nurse or a patient. Nothing. The corridor was well lit and I could see clearly. As I stood there I heard a sound like a marble rolling along the hard floor from one end, past the doorway I was standing in, and hit a door at the other end. I saw nothing and the sound was very clear. I went back to sit in the lounge keeping one eye on the doorway and hoping the nurse would return soon. I have no explanation for what happened, but happen it did. Later in the week when I was back on day shifts I asked a couple of the staff about it. They had all experienced similar things over the years at night and had no explanation for it. One of them would not go in to the room where the noise had come from alone or without doing what she described as a 'binding'. Even though I continued to work night shifts for a couple of years after, it never happened to me again. I have had other inexplicable experiences over the years and tend to accept them as part of life's experience. I do watch a few ghost hunting shows, but primarily because they are so ridiculous with their silly little devices that it can be good entertainment on occasions if one is in the mood.
@TheSneezingMonkey
@TheSneezingMonkey 4 месяца назад
Wow. Thanks for sharing that story. Incredible. And obviously I believe that you and the other nurses experienced that. But all you seem to describe are unexplainable sounds. And whatever causes them, it’s still a far jump from ‚loud noise‘ to ‚ghosts of dead people‘. And I‘m not saying you suggested that. But that’s what many people would jump to. I think there might just be some cause for audio queues to occur, that we simply don’t understand yet. And I have no idea how that would work. But even the fact that it was incredibly loud to you and your colleague, but nobody else woke up, almost indicates a localised phenomenon. That the others maybe didn’t even hear. Who knows. But this was an incredibly fascinating story. Thanks for sharing it so openly.
@Martynjs
@Martynjs 4 месяца назад
@@TheSneezingMonkey I agree. This is what makes it so mysterious to me - it didn't disturb anyone sleeping on the same floor yet it was so loud and intense. It is technically a hospital, and the only material that could make the noise and is heavy enough is the few pieces of furniture in the room. My first reaction was that a patient had gone in to a serious psychotic episode (rather than anything 'paranormal'). That wasn't the case. I have no explanation for it at all, but as you rightly infer, there are many things in this world we simply don't understand yet.

As an investigator of over 15 years I agree with most of this video. K2, rem pod, and sls are pure crap. Yes, people tend to use cheap recorders for audio but some of us actually do invest in higher quality. I've used Olympus ls-10 and have seen others with even better studio quality. Using the more affordable ones, you have to take it with a grain of salt.

I was a military communications specialist. One of the things I did was program a radio to rapidly switch and monitor frequencies. The biggest difference between what I worked on and the SB-7 device was our frequencies were scrambled. None were in order (like scrolling a dial on a car radio). It was jumbled mix of frequencies. If that was happening on the SB-7, I'd still be skeptical.

I've experienced a couple things during my life that I could never fully understand or explain, however. One thing I always had to remember is that the human mind is very powerful and very deceptive in a lot of ways and it's really hard to say what happened. All too often, though, people are so desperate to see or hear something they'll go to great lengths to find it. So, what a perfect customer base for BS gadgets that do absolutely nothing but separate fools from their money? The two devices that made me incredibly skeptical is the SLS camera and that god damn spirit box. These people would listen to bursts of static (annoying as hell btw) and somehow would hear words or phrases? Yeah, give me a freakin' break. It's probably hard for most of them to keep a straight face while filming this crap because they all know it's nonsense, much like a Pro wrestler staying in character, but these things make money because people love it. I can only imagine how many fools spent thousands of dollars on these toys and try to be ghost hunters just to be let down and disappointed. I'm very much open to nearly anything being possible, the world and our existence can be very mysterious and there are certainly things that we can't explain. However, I tend to roll my eyes when it comes to this quasi-science of hunting and detecting spirits. Ghost hunters, empaths, psychics and all the other people that give themselves a label and claim they can contact ghosts or demons. I think that 99.9999999999% of them are completely full of sh!t, nothing they claim can actually be proven. They're nothing more than modern day Charlatans.

What happened to you, for you to be such a skeptic? I feel you are attacking me personally, so I will reply to you. One thing is claiming something, another thing is opening oneself for others to know you. I wouldn't deny that chasing a high, falling prey to shiny-object syndrome, impulsive/compulsive purchases, and similar attitudes are wrong approaches. But to be honest with you I have a knack to get in touch with those in the other side and have experiences in places where it's bound to happen out of sheer personal power, and in spite of that even the most crude of these gizmos awaken my curiosity. As I already wrote in these comments, you can't discount any ghost hunting gizmo. In my experience ghosts can make use of any, and I mean ANY object to manifest, so to have objects that are dedicated to them specifically feels to me more rad than scammy. I may be a psychic but I also have a scientific side, and a spendthrift side. If I were to buy any ghost hunting tech I would do my due dilligence, opting for not believing and not not-believing and based in my own experiences of ghosts and demons pick what makes more sense to me, as cheap as I can get it, not from the first reseller/rebrander that captures me. Each investigator does the best he or she can do to the best of their abilities, trying to approach projects in a way that's as much scientifically structured as possible doesn't deserve to be slagged down by someone that just comments on RU-vid and does nothing. Stop being jelous of your superiors in body, mind and/or spirit. It's not difficult to so see how envious you are of those who either do what you fantasize about, or that have powers that you lack.

Locker room in high school. A wall of lockers with hanging combination locks. Behind that, 3 feet of solid concrete. One day, while everyone was getting ready for gym, almost every lock on every locker along the entire wall (maybe 25-30ft. long) slammed up. I mean, SLAMMED! You couldn't make one of the locks swing up that hard by hand. No wires, no magnets, every locker, inside and out checked. Nothing.The loud bang from the locks had several teachers from other rooms running in to see what happened.

I use to believe in ghosts but years of watching ghost hunting shows and learning about sleep paralysis and an interest in photography has made me skeptic. Most of the ghost hunting gear simply doesn't make sense to me, like why would a ghost trigger an EMF detector, or how would a ghost know how to manipulate radio frequencies to communicate to you through a spirit box? And when you learn about how cameras work you realize that ghost photos and pictures are simply just quirks of the camera.

I grew up in the 70s in an old house. My great grandmother died in bed in my sisters room. My sister said a few days after my great grandmother died that she saw her rocking in the rocking chair in her room smiling at her. A few yrs later I had an r2d2 robot that would sometimes move, lights and sound on it's own with no batteries in it. Always thought it was just her letting me know she's watching over us. Early 90s lived in a mothr in-law apt in the basement of a friends house and there was a ghost who was tall and wore a black cowboy hat he told me his name was Joe. At the time I was into grunge music and he hated it, Joe would often switch the station to country music, lol. One Christmas I was alone, friends went to their families for Christmas, and I was eating frozen pizza for my Christmas dinner. Right after I sat down on the couch to start eating, I saw Joe walk across the room and sit on the couch beside me as if he were saying "you're not alone". Made me feel so much better that Christmas.

Always interesting to hear other points of view and debunk wherever possible, but this video and explanation leaves more questions than answers. As many have said, the coincidence of picking up a radio station answering questions on cue so often is extremely unlikely. Also ask yourself how often do you hear a radio DJ say ‘please leave’ or ‘get out’ or ‘yes’ and ‘no’? The answer is very rarely, yet this is picked up so often on a spirit box. I would love an explanation for this

This video is a godsend. Thank you for doing the research. I watched SyFy's Ghost Hunters to whole time they were on the air. What it did was make me more of a skeptic than I was before. I watched their ''technology'' improve over that time. From the VHS cameras to rem pots, spirit boxes and Go pro cameras. In all of that time, the ''evidence'' they collected wasn't anymore revealing than when they first started out. They seemed legit starting out, claiming they would set out to disprove a haunting if they could. My favorite technique that they employed was the three flashlights. It was fun to watch, but all fake as far as I'm concerned. It would take me another couple of paragraphs to explain why I don't believe in the spirits of the dead haunt houses and other places.

My paternal grandmother passed away about a year after my husband and I got married. She - and her house - had an amazingly distinctive smell that I have never encountered anywhere else. It was quite strong, and I never cared for it. It wasn’t just normal “old people” smell or must - it was a distinctive mix of farm and chickens and cooking and dirt and THEN “old people” smell and must. 😂 She and I were never very close, and I mostly went to her funeral to be there for my dad. I respected her, but we just never really got along. I mention that just to say that I took absolutely nothing that belonged to her. I wouldn’t have wanted it anyway - my nose is very sensitive, and the smell would be terrible. 😅 ANYWAY, fast forward a year and half after her passing, and my husband and I welcomed our first child. One day, when I was home alone with our newborn girl (the day before or the day of my dad’s birthday - I can’t remember), I walked into her bedroom to take her out of her crib, and the smell of my grandmother hit me like a wall. I sniffed all over the house, but I could only smell it in the baby’s room. It was strong, and it lingered for almost an hour before it faded, and I have not smelled it in the four and a half years since. My husband and I used to be big believers in the paranormal, but anymore I really do believe that most things people chalk up to “ghosts” are either (commonly) misinterpreted earthly phenomena or (rarely) demons. I still don’t know what to make of that smell, though. 🤔 What I AM sure of is that ghost hunting shows are loads of hogwash. Entertaining hogwash, certainly, but hogwash all the same.

Love this video! I agree with a lot of what you said in this video, except for one thing. There is a bit of nuance that is needed when doing a real ghost hunt investigation. I do ghost hunts of my own, and a lot of what people don't see is us sitting in a room waiting for stuff to happen. Editing plays a huge part here, and most of the time when we leave a location, we feel as though we captured nothing. It isn't util after reviewing the footage, and making connections based upon patterns that we start making claims. Most people that I've ghost hunted with people that are extremely quick to say something is viable evidence, but I think otherwise. It is key to start with equipment, but NEVER fully trust the output without other confirmation. Whether it be another device, or using your own sense. It's never a definite confirmation if your one device gives a positive reading, always follow patterns. In my childhood, I had some extremely traumatic paranormal events happen to me and my brother. To this day, I still have trouble sleeping, and those events still haunt me. My entire mission is to show what ghost hunting is, no glamor, no over the top fake reactions. I go locations with the truest of intentions, and I have even thrown out what I thought was evidence and debunked my own findings. I want nothing more than for people to see what I experience, which may sometimes produce less evidence, but I am ok with that. Basically, I know how people view ghost hunting shows, I know how people view me, but I need to be ok with that. I know how insane this is, but I know it's real to me, and my trauma is not fake.

I can agree a majority of tech relating to ghost hunting is fake, but the actual manifestations, Ghosts, are absolutely real. I've lived in haunted places since I was a teenager. An old house I had held a prayer book in the basement girders, and if it moved, furniture would start moving on its own and whispers traveled the halls. It was so bad my uncle who lived in the basement even when drunk off his block and known to be aggressive when hammered fled in terror so much as being down there, and refused to be even near the door of it unless the prayer book was placed back where it was. Then everything stopped. Even now, I'm in barracks for the Marine Corps and paranormal things happen here even more than back home. People complain of their doors opening and closing on their own, stuff getting thrown off the ledges of their desks. Lights turning on and off on their own. Or hearing footsteps inside their room when they have no roommate. I've even taken showers and when prepping to shave my razor would get chucked against my leg when sitting BEHIND my soap bottles on the ledge because the first few times I genuinely believed it was just falling off without me noticing when sitting on the lip of it. That same day my roommates Xbox controller would get pushed off his desk even after me AND him watched it sit towards the center of the desk and he cook chow in the microwave, totally incapable of sliding off, yet hit the ground unceremoniously. No one believes in ghosts until they deal with one, and when you have, you never think they're fake again.

We try not to use the K2 too often for our videos as almost everything that has any kind of electrical circuit will cause these to go off, especially a very modern house. The REM Pod/Spirit box is probably our favorite devices to use but you cant just accept any response, it needs to be an intelligent response to a proposed question. We had Luke Combs song fast car come out of our PSB-7 spirit box once and we all laughed about it 😂. The estes method with the spirit box is the best way to conduct it, or if you can build a wonderbox to filter out a lot of the bs with a noise gate. Loved the video though, even with ghost hunting a healthy amount of skepticism is needed.

I do agree with most of what you have said: most of those tools are nothing more but gimmicks. I used to conduct actual haunting cases as experienced by real folks. The only tools that are effective to me is the one that I bought from the US a long time ago and it is the Phantom Vibe. It is a very sensitive device called a geo-phone that detects minute vibrations in either the air or ground. Another tool that has helped me immensely in gathering data is definitely the portable voice recorder. I have gotten few distinct voices that either reply to my questions or sometimes unintelligible voices. Now, please don't ask me whether those are from spirits/ghosts and the like -- I have not a clue. All we do is gather data. Keep up the good work! PS: We both have the same Blue Silver microphone -- same set up with the pop filter.

I know this vid. is a few months old, but you asked for a ghostly experience so here's mine. It happened in March 2024, so not that long ago. I can't stop thinking about it because I don't know what it meant, so if any of your viewers have any ideas, please let me know. Ok, here goes. I was having a dream, when all of a sudden I woke up (it was sort of like "we interrupt this dream to bring you this...spirit"). My eyes opened at exactly the same moment that something walked from the hallway into my bedroom. I was laying on my side, looking towards my closet door (which is mirrored) and just followed it with my eyes as it walked into the room. I remember being calm, not concerned at all that something had just walked into my bedroom. I've always been scared at the thought of seeing a ghost, so was a bit surprised that I wasn't scared while I was looking at it (that came later, the more I thought about it - I've been sleeping with a night light on ever since, like it's going to help or something, lol). It was translucent and I couldn't make out any distinct features, but I believe it was male based on the height and the way it walked. The entire experience lasted for literally 5 seconds: my eyes opened at the exact moment this thing walked into my room (which makes me think it wanted to make sure I saw it), it stands in front of my mirrored closet and stares at me for about 2 or 3 seconds, then turns around and walks right back out of the room, into the hallway the same way it came in, and is gone. I think I even resumed the dream I was having just before I woke up. I just don't know what it meant. Although I don't think it meant me any harm, it scares the sh*t out of me to think something comes into my room and watches me sleep. Thoughts anyone? 😱👻

I know this happened, even though when I have chosen to share it with people I considered reasonable, they appear to think I am mucking around. In the last couple of years My dad, my mum, aunts, uncles and cousins have all died. Then of course the icing on the cake was when my girlfriend was diagnosed with a terminal illness. I have to thank you. I personally was raised in a nonreligious atheist/skeptic environment. I have no problems with that but there's a part of me that also wants to believe that there is more to our existence than what is merely materialistically observable. So when I watch shows or read descriptions of paranormal "investigations," I always have so so many questions. My understanding of the scientific method is to be eternally curious and inquisitive, not dismissive and pretentious. As such I don't think it's fair to dismiss all of the many reported paranormal experiences outright, but I often see glaring problems with the observations/metrics from "investigators" as an (I believe) well-educated person. I don't understand how their gadgets work because they usually aren't explained, but you answered so many of my questions. So once again, at the risk of being belittled, thank you for the information and honest consideration.

I have also grown up in a nonreligious household/community, and I think it’s wonderful how that often leads to asking questions, but not denying something due to lack of evidence. I do ghost hunting with homemade dowsing rods, and if I need to know anything else (other than yes/no questions or the ghost pointing to something) I ask it to give me an image in my mind or a feeling it is/was feeling.

I grew up in a house where I had creepy, unexplainable experiences. When we first moved in, I was six. I don't remember this, but apparently one day I walked up to my grandma and whispered into her ear, Grandma, this place is haunted. She said it was a little creepy. A few years later, I started getting vivid nightmares, and one dark, shadowy figure was usually present. If he wasn't attacking me or my family in the dream, he stood there and watched. I would almost always wake up between two and three in the morning, and then go sleep in my parents room. One night, when I was in fourth grade, I woke up and heard loud scratching on my wall. It would be one, long, drawn out scratch, and then it would stop. Then, it would happen on the next wall. Then, the wall after that. It kept happening. It was so loud. I thought my brother was playing a trick on me, but he wasn't there. I called out for someone, but no one heard me. Eventually the noises stopped abruptly. I just laid in bed paralyzed by fear. I felt like something was watching me near the door. When the sun came up I ran out to my parents crying, and I refused to sleep in my room for over a week. One time when I was home alone, I heard what sounded like a grown man cough very loudly. I assumed there was an intruder, so I set the alarm system to detect motion and left. No one was there. After we left the house, all of those experiences stopped completely. We lived there for seven years. I am still skeptical that ghosts exist. These experiences make me more open minded to the idea that they could, but there could have also been an environmental factor in the house that was causing the nightmares.

but why are you still skeptic tho? you cant actually prove for sure the things you hear and see (which does sound like paranormal) is just 'another person doing it' or 'a wind'. do you actualy dont want to beleive in ghosts and paranormal? because i do find a lot of skeptic theories to be incorrect, like they hear a loud bang , a cough, nobody was there , and still dismiss it. tht in my opinion makes me think some just dont want to believe in it , not tht it doesnt exist. you may be a skeptic, but tht things still exist and i believe people who still dismiss paranormal after experiencing it just chose to not believe in it.
@LizARichards
@LizARichards 10 месяцев назад
@@forproject1666 It's not that I don't want to believe, I do want to. I fear death, and the existence of ghosts would alleviate that fear. However, there are possible logical explanations for the experiences I discussed. When I said my house was haunted as a child, I could have just had a vivid, and wild imagination. Writing, and creativity are two of my strengths, so this lines up. The vivid nightmares also have logical, plausible causes other than paranormal activity. I grew up in a dangerous city, where I wasn't allowed to be outside without adult supervision because when I was little my two brothers and I almost got abducted by a man at a park close to our house. We had a family drill incase an intruder got into our house in the middle of the night. The bedroom windows had bars on them. The dreams could have reflected my anxiety about always feeling like there was danger. We also had black mold problems in our house. It was also in my bedroom. This mold is known to cause vivid nightmares, hallucinations, and other psychological symptoms when people are exposed for long periods of time. Additionally, the human brain isn't always accurate. Memory is a faulty thing. The cough I heard could have been something else, and my brain misinterpreted it. This seems even more possible when you consider that people are more likely to mishear things when they are scared, and I usually was when I was home alone. The scratching could be explained by any of these explanations as well. I'm not saying that this information explains these events 100%. It could also be paranormal. I'm just saying I have good reason to be skeptical.

I've heard scraping along the wall too! After waking up feeling uneasy😮 I'll elaborate if you're interested. In my early 20s, I woke up one night and I cannot explain it, but the bed was shaking and wobbling. I got wide awake and freaked out a bit, I tried to tell if it was my body doing it after just waking up, but it just continued, so I got up from the bed but I felt nothing in my body. The bed wasn't visibly shaking, but when I sat down again, I could feel it shaking. Note. Sometimes when I wake up and is still groggy, I can feel like a vibration in my body, that could be something physical that can be explained. But this was definitely different to me. I only felt it when I was on the bed so I didn't know what to make of it. The shaking stopped after a few minutes. But right after I started calming down. I heard a loud, drawn out scraping along the wall opposite to me. I was on the second floor and the sound was like someone dragged something sharp along the wallpaper. I was thinking rats in the wall maybe, but it was a continuous sharp scraping along the whole wall, something I've never heard in any walls of any house or apartment. Never happened before or after. It was an old, 2 story brick house on the country side. Don't know what it was, scared me enough to stay awake until the sun came up. But I'm surprised to see someone else who's experienced something similar. At least the wall scraping. Wish you the best!

I'm late to the video but here's my weird experience: I was maybe 7/8, oldest sibling 13/14. We were home alone, watching TV and we started hearing this screeching alarm sound from the junk closet (basically where we put our broken things until we decided if it could be fixed or was beyond help). OS and I cautiously go to look. When we opened the door OS' old alarm clock that had stopped working months ago was going off. Lights flashing, alarm screaming, whole nine yards. No batteries, not plugged in. At the moment we looked at the alarm clock my old RC truck that was sitting upside down on the floor (wheels to the air, no battery, broken) started revving. The wheels spun like there was no tomorrow and it was screeching too. 😂 OS and I looked at each other and they grabbed my hand, shut the door on the RC truck and alarm clock, and said we were waiting on the front porch till our parents got home 😂 Still not sure what was going on but it's funny to think back on occasionally.

I always love when they use the Estes Method, the one where they have noise canceling headphones and blindfolds listening to the spirit box and saying what they hear, and act like any outside input is impossible 😂 Sometimes it’s “crazy” how they practically have a conversation with a “ghost” and they’re repeating words that 100% have to do with what they’ve been talking about regarding the location or stories or people present and the person speaking them out loud takes the headphones off, strangely unaware of how creepy and accurate it was 💀🤣 Like they had memory loss or something. They could easily have someone feeding them words or use a script, but act like it’s true. That or the words have nothing to do with anything but they try so hard to apply them to their story. Serious reaching 🤦🏼‍♀️ They ask the ghost it’s name and it says “violent” and they’re like 😱😱😱
@NoBuddy89

Have you tried doing the Estes Method yourself? Serious question here. That method was developed because ghost tech was so incredibly unreliable. I've done it myself, due to the white noise and the sensory depravation you kinda zone out, especially if you rock back and forth. It becomes almost like a trance after a while. And keep in mind, the words might be creepy but without context of the questions asked you who are speaking is only getting one half of a conversation. And I've heard voices that have no business being broadcasted on ANY radio station. I'm a massive skeptic myself, and I have little faith in rem pods and cheap motion sensors.

About ten years ago I lived in an apartment above a store. One day after work I was emptying my pockets setting the contents on my dresser. Pocket change, keys, gum, and my box cutter. This was a heavy duty box cutter, all metal, sturdy aluminum case. Pockets empty I went into the living room to sit in my favorite chair. As I plopped down in the chair I heard and felt a thump on the floor behind me. I get up turn around to see what it was and I froze. A chill ran up my spine... it was the box cutter! This would not have been scary if I had not shut the door to the bedroom shortly before and if the box cutter wasnt 10 feet from said closed door. I later I learned that one of the guys working in the store down stairs had a heart attack and died on the property a week earlier. Spooky. My box cutter flies 10 feet down a hall from behind a closed door! My girlfriend was home and heard the thump too. Things were a bit strange for a few weeks after that. Cabinet doors opening when we were not home,. Knocks, bangs, scratches and thumps at all hours. One day we finally said out loud, "we know you are here. You are not allowed to terrorize our family. You can stay only if you are friendly." Things mellowed out after that but never completely stopped. Even now we experience strange sounds and sights around the house but nothing frightening.

I've only had one experience that I genuinely believe was paranormal. When I was about fifteen/sixteen, my mom went to an overnight event and left me and my little brother (who was about thirteen at the time) alone. The only other creature in the house was our old golden retriever Honey, who stayed exclusively downstairs (there's a gate on the stairs to keep her there). Sam, my brother, said he was going out to the store and asked if I wanted anything. I said yes, and off he went. We lived in a really old cottage, and when you opened/closed the front door, you could hear it throughout the entire house (it would kind of shake). Anyway, I heard Sam leave. Honey was sleeping downstairs in the kitchen. After a couple minutes, I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. We had a very narrow and steep spiral staircase, and you can hear every time someone walks up the steps because it creaks like crazy. So I hear these footsteps come up the stairs and walk towards my door, then stop. I swear I heard breathing through the door, which was a very thin old wooden door. If you live in an old English cottage, you know the type. Anyway, I called out to Sam because I thought it was him and I'd just not hear the front door open (no matter how unlikely that is). He didn't answer, and as the silence stretched, I started to get a dread-like feeling. I suddenly had this thought that whatever was standing on the other side of the door wasn't Sam, and that it wasn't supposed to be there. Then I heard the front door open. I jumped out of bed and yanked my bedroom door open, but there was nothing there. I freaked out and ran downstairs, convinced it was Sam playing a prank on me. Or maybe Honey had got out of the kitchen, climbed up the stairs, and stood panting on the other side of the door. But she was still sleeping peacefully in her bed. Anyway, nothing else like that has ever happened to me. That house was very old (well over 300years), and there was a covered well in the living room (right next to the stairs) that connected to the river that ran through the middle of town, as well as a bunch of other buildings in town (there's a whole well system beneath the town). Maybe someone came in through the well and wanted to give me a scare? We moved out a couple years ago and I haven't had anything else paranormal happen since.

There were these red lights coming slowly down the hill towards me. I stopped, thinking a farm vehicle was reversing (an everyday thing where I lived) but the lights stopped whenever I did. Then when I walked towards them, they moved further away. Eventually they disappeared and I continued up the path, slightly freaked out but expecting a vehicle or something. There was nothing there

We will pretend to be locked down for an entire evening, but we'll only show you 45 minutes of actual footage. This is Ghost Searchers... Even if you were a true believer hearing that narration would lessen your interest in watching the show. I don't blame these types of shows for vigorously selling their spooky green flavor of Kool-Aid. I'm ultimately responsible for how much I decide to drink. Let's be honest, even debunkers can get lost in their own narrative (nothing personal, just a general observation). As a younger person, I believed in everything from Bigfoot to UFOs. As a [clears throat] aged grown-up, I'm a bit more skeptical. Still, I enjoy being taken away from the mundane reality and shown what could be. I do have to tell the debunker in me to remain open-minded more often as the years go on. I recently watched a couple of shows that embraced the absurdity of the genre. Mountain Monsters and UFO Cowboys. The former followed a team of full-loaded hillbilly monster-hunters in episodic adventures that usually ended with an encounter. However, it wasn't long before a seasons-long arc was introduced involving a rival group of hunters and an Illuminati-style mystery. Mountain Monsters ended after multiple seasons and UFO Cowboys was produced by the same company. The first season ended with the titular Cowboys facing a secret conspiracy cliffhanger. Stock up on tin foil. The UFO Cowboys will ride again... as Season 2 was ordered by Roku.

The next day I was reviewing the door bell videos, came across the one with me coming back to the door. As I approach the door to come in there was a distinct voice that spoke, it sounded like livid, then another voice said house, now these voices weren’t audible to me at the time, only picked up by the doorbell microphone…. I was quite shocked to hear such clear voices.

That's definitely an airplane. Airplanes (and boats as a matter of fact) by standard have lights like these in a certain configuration. Red on left, green on right, and a light at the rear. The lights are used by other aircraft to see what direction a plane is facing at a distance. If a plane is far enough that you're barely able to see it and of course when it's dark, the lights will still be very visible. In the air, if you're in the same elevation as another plane for example, if you see lights in the distance and the green light is on your right side, you'll know that the plane is heading the same direction as you are. If you see the light on your left side, it means the plane is heading towards you and you should probably divert. This also explains the transmissions you heard as those are probably from the plane itself.

So I have the newest version of the rempod and I’m definitely a sceptic and don’t really believe in ghosts or even trust equipment, but I placed the rempod down at home and it’s never gone off by itself. I then placed it down at my job and it never went off. I even tried it in the middle of the woods and it never went off. But as soon as I tried it in a random cemetery it wouldn’t stop going off, I then went outside of the cemetery and it wouldn’t go off. I would also like to point out that during that whole process I changed the battery three times and reset it countless times to try to debunk it. I then got hella skeptical, because this made absolutely no sense lmfao. If yall can explain that moment that would be great.

I had one of the most frightening experiences OF MY LIFE investigating a supposedly haunted place in my town and it WAS NOT because of ghosts There is an infamous bridge in aurora Colorado out on dirt service roads in the middle of nowhere called Third Bridge It’s supposedly the site of a famous Native American massacre where settlers revenge killed an entire village and also in 1997 students from a local high school veered off the bridge and died. The car accident is publicly verifiable where as the massacre sight is debated. Once you’re on the bridge it’s pitch black, nature on all sides and there sits a derelict abandoned farmhouse at the end of the bridge. One night while ghost hunting, my friends and I got the balls to go on the farm property. While walking around, we noticed a banged up camper parked behind the main house which is weird because the property had been abandoned for years and known by locals We shuffled into the barn and right then I dropped my phone, knocking the battery out of it (2007 so this is a big block nokia) In the shining moonlight, I could see what looked like bike tires or large discs ALL OVER the floor of the barn I was halfway towards reaching down to pick up my phone when I told my friends “Hey shine your light here there’s crap all over the floor” When my friend turned on his flashlight, we saw 7-8 OPEN BEAR TRAPS in this fucking barn Keep in mind this is 40 minutes on dirt service roads, the property is abandoned and you could scream all night and no one would know. There’s also limited service, so your chances of calling 911 might be capped MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL The property is abandoned, it’s not bear country Whoever put those traps there had horrific, evil intentions I don’t know if that camper was related but it frightened me so bad I never returned to third bridge

I've recently bought an SB7, rem and emf for craps n giggles. Never have believed the shows because of one big thing, editing. The spirit box I always was the most skeptical about because just as i suspected, when i used it I heard every radio station and it was clear, it was commercials I heard. EMF would flash when it got close to my phone, or I shook it just right. REM pod only went off twice. The REM and a few EMF blips didn't really have an explanation I could come up with, but over all, I could debunk 98% very easy. All that to say, I'm bad with money. I also have fun, like the "chills" of the "what if?" And take it all as entertainment, much like others go to concerts (I work hauling concerts, so I dont need to goto any when I'm home) or the movies. But some people definitely do take it as gospel

Being a devout Christian, she prayed them away. Now, that I would believe over claims the ghosts of the dead still inhabit places. I've been in many places that were said to be haunted. Never saw a single thing. Even the old house my parents bought after I was grown up. I spent two months in the place and never experienced even the slightest or sound or sight that didn't belong there. Yet, other members of my family claimed they heard children that weren't there. My brother's ex-wife claimed a dark mass came up the stairs after her. Well, she was also a drug addict. So I'm inclined the believe that whatever came after her was something she imagined, or something evil that she attracted.

This is the best video on the subject I have ever seen. Really well thought out and done. Thank you.

Some of us do debunk our findings and use our body senses and not rely on tech. The smaller channels are more interesting and have better content as we are not in it for fame. But its a hobbie and interest for us!
