One of the sad things about this is that Rich used to bash trolls/bad people and defend other content creators if they got bullied,doxxed, harassed etc and now he's pretty much become what he hated.

When Rich busted out the porcelain poultry I stopped watching his stuff. He went weird.

The moment he started talking to chickens is when I knew something had gone horribly wrong...or was going to go horribly wrong

Dude quickly became toxic when his life turned better around 2015 and he got into a relationship. I miss the wholesome and educational days of him back in 2013 or so. Then, his ego exploded.

Watched him back when he actually talked about tech. Then he started getting into drama more and more so I unsubbed. Now he's just flat out lost his mind.

Use to watch, but with his behavior going downhill especially after his daughter went to the hospital. After that he really was really showing signs of a slow mental breakdown. By the time he started breaking out the chickens & going shirtless that is when I just said nope no more, and stopped watching. He needed to turn off the camera and take a vacation from RU-vid to relax calm down, and rethink his life choices. Instead he ran himself into the ground, and became a cautionary tale of the real risks that come with being a "content creator".

This is a remarkably level-headed and thoughtful video on this matter. Rich has been behaving terribly over the past couple of days, and I hope that he snaps out of it because right now he's acting like a complete clown.

Hasn't Rich on multiple occasions made videos explaining he's moving on to different content, just to end up going back to the same content he did before? If I remember correctly he made a video talking about making fewer videos and more in-depth critiques and stuff not too long ago. But I don't think he ended up doing so. Felt like this was the tenth time he announced a change in content but nothing happened.

Not engaging with the trolls works as long as you have a different audience to engage with. If the trolls are the only people left watching you really don't have any thing left other than to try to stirr up the drama in the hope to stay relevant or keep your career alive. Of course that will never work longterm, but it will probably keep you around a little while longer.

He deludes himself into thinking he's this great comedy channel and wants to move on from gaming news when that's his main bread and butter most come to watch him for. And even his news stories saw a stark decline in quality where it's all about burping in the mic like some unprofessional ass, talking about his birds, and voicing his obsession on Phil in every video. He's also baked out of his mind on THC all the damn time. His ego is what has ruined him, he thinks he can be the next Howard Stern and have his own live show. And all this drama he's drowning himself in is only digging his inevitable internet death grave deeper.

I liked it when it was just games news over gameplay footage, really all it needed to be.

The downfall of his channel is one of the saddest situations.... I genuily enjoyed his content... Especially when he got into live streaming in the last few years. Him and Jay on the RTU streams was very entertaining, sadly that came to an end.

The problem with Rich is two fold really. For one he abandoned what made him who he was on RU-vid and this slowed his growth. Second the more you watch him the more you can see and how much he revealed his true self. One of the turning points was when he had a fit when he failed to complete one of his goals. The goal…. Giving money to a charity. He did it in the end but the amount of crying he did over it was just the final straw for many.

I recall Rich putting out vids about Boogie. Offering the guy advice, using him as a cautionary tale etc. Kind of ironic.

I watched some of his old videos, I stopped after he started getting into drama and politics. It would be a shame if pursuing a long-term career as a YTber results in irreversible mental trauma.😔

After I, too, have been a fan of his since 2013, I'm heartbroken... Rich needs to realise it's not just him that's crashing and burning, but his community. His family will suffer because of his actions too, and I feel the worst for them, especially after his daughter went through hell.

Wow, this is really sad to hear. He was one of the first youtubers i got really into in 2013ish (maybe earlier). And id followed him for years. Others in the comments have also mentioned he's talked about changing his content a lot and I'm glad it's not just me who's noticed as well. I finally stopped watching him afer the QTV incident when he said he was "quitting youtube forever" and then uploads another video. I'm pretty sure in the past he's talked about quitting RU-vid a lot, maybe I'm misremembering, but what a sad bit of news to see today. I hope he'll be fine in the end but I don't have much hope for that.

I once liked his videos, but like most people, I just stopped caring because of how much drama he produces. If you say anything out of turn or disagree with him in the comments section, he will block you or report you. He's reported me a couple of times just for having a different opinion. I can't stand that he hangs out with and agrees with Keemstar. I've seen many instances where he's been disrespectful concerning family members whose information got leaked. Over time, I just got tired of him. When I saw all the drama happening with his editor, that was the final nail in the coffin for me. I'm a professional editor myself, and I've been doing it for 15 years, so I understand how demanding that job is. I'm not really sure who's in the right or wrong in that situation, but it seems like he handled it poorly, especially if he was firing people on a live stream. That's just not professional. He always seems to have these childish outbursts, then he apologizes afterwards, only to go right back to doing it all over again. I just got sick of his drama and how he always does the same thing day in and day out. I got really tired of all his childish behavior and temper tantrums.

The chicken stuff mixed with his toxicity pushed me out personally. Back in the day when his content was simply good gaming news and commentary he was great. But what he has now....yeah I can't do that.

I used to watch Rich, I unsubbed and blocked his content, he’s really gone downhill and he’s sunk to the Trolls level which I find shocking, he’s no better than the people who troll him. I agree, he’s bitter, angry, and nothing left to lose. Had he focused on his brand and tech reviews he’d be in a much better place, but he made himself a target by exposing more of his personal life than he really should have(if at all), and took his channel into a bad direction. Now it’s just a cesspool of toxic drama with people who troll him, and he’s just down in the mud fighting them on their level. It’s sad and deeply pathetic.

Rich still has the greatest "GET OFF MY LAWN!!" massive angry rant of anyone on RU-vid. When YT started the "1000 followers, 10000 watch hours to get monetized" policy, a lot of people uploaded videos begging YT to not take their channels...Old School Rick went balls to the WALLS over them making videos over this. It's a truly remarkable video. I think...THINK...he still has it active, but he did apologize for the horrible take and rant.

I liked Rich through most of the 2010's around 2019 he started just devoting most of his videos to politics, which is fine but either make a seperate political channel or officially announce that fact.

I laughed at the bird. I was uncomfortable when the shirt started unironically coming off, but I left when he actively started saying people on different political sides were hateful and terrible. I feel same way you do. I used to really enjoy his gaming videos and him actually reviewing technology. But yeah, seems like he’s just going down hill tbh but I don’t feel sorry for him on that part with his drama because he doesn’t help himself at all. He’s like he just gets a kick out of it or something. Instead of being a adult, he just acts like a child on FB, ranting about nothing really. It’s very odd. Doesn’t he understand how the internet works? The trolls are loving this. The guy needs to start again and do something different, and do better for himself. I just pity the guy.

Rich turned into the perfect example of needing to log offline, even if your job is running a successful RU-vid channel. You cannot be terminally online like that without eventually cracking.

I never really followed him. I watched his drama videos for a while, and when he was joining in on the QuantumTV destruction. But for a channel called ReviewTechUSA, there weren’t a lot of popular tech videos. . .

Used to watch him in the past, he always had these weird moments, though now he really derailed hard. Clearly he is having a mental break down, I bet it's related to his divorce. He was suppose to be working on his health but at the looks of it he gained a lot of weight again. I stopped watching him after her announced for a third time in only a few weeks "I'm gonna quit the channel guys" fine, if you don't quit, I will quit, byeeee. He is just seeking the attention constantly. And I get it, it is his job, he needs to stay relevant, but the drama path is not it, especially as he can't handle it nor use it in his life. He needs to accept that he isn't relevant anymore, people move on. You can't have a ever lasting youtube career, that is only for a select few who has a strong community and are consistent in what they do. Last time I watched Rich was around when he started doing a TON of click bait videos talking about basically nothing that you wanted to hear. I came to his channel for tech stuff, game reviews etc. Then he got into the drama after fueding with Quartering and I just was like "Why am I wasting my time on this dude?".

Once Rich started delving into drama with other youtubers, those damn birds, his obsession with his nipples & horses, and the constant contradiction with gaming (his flip floppy stance on physical media), I stopped. I watched him from the beginning. But he seemed to have lost his mind and got douchey

I used to sub to ReviewTechUSA, but after a while, I unsubbed from him when I realized how much of a hypocrite he is. What really caused me to lose respect for him was his whole feud with 1316Killer (AKA Killer Comedy Unleashed), a YTer he once shouted out and recommended (this is how I was introduced to 1316Killer). The moment Killer started calling Rich out on his hypocrisy, Rich got big mad and even made a half-hour video responding to him (while wearing his shirt inside out BTW). The way Rich handles himself just makes himself look like more and more of a lolcow. I can only hope Rich figures out whatever he needs to get sorted out.

He lost me as a subscriber when he accused walmart on price gouging the NES classic when the didn't. The screenshot he put in his video was a 3rd party seller. If course, many left comments calling him out. He never addressed anything or even correct his "Fake News".

I used to watch him back in the day and it was cool back then, he'd mostly just shoot the shit and talk games, but I always took what he said with a grain of salt after he admitted to being a former Alex Jones fan. I fell off for a while, then saw his videos starting to come up in my recommendations feed in relation to the G4 revival and he was a toxic jerk by that point and seemed kind of pathetic. Just in a one-sided fight with Frosk. It was lame.
