They haven't been playing this at every stop on the tour. I think they're trying to see if it gains traction. They played it in Toronto... Was amazing!. I'm with you, hope it stays on the setlist for a long time.
@@Hi_human The last chorus is probably the highest Papa has ever sung for a whole chorus, and its definetly not easy. The first time they played the song live he blew out his voice during the last minute of the song-ish.
this is one of my favorite songs and i was so sad they didn't play it at my ritual, thank you so much for posting this (and in such great quality too!) much appreciation
This, Kaisarion, and Hunter’s Moon are my three favorites from Impera. I wish they’d add this to the regular setlist. Though I understand it’s not the easiest song to sing.
Oh thank you so much for posting this! We saw them in Huntsville. I wish that we'd of gotten to see this one, however, we got He Is instead. I saw them in February with Volbeat, and they didn't play He Is in their half set. That was my first ritual, so I hadn't seen them play it live yet. All in all I'm glad that we got He Is instead of Griftwood, but I really do want to see this live! So thanks!
It’s honestly kind of crazy no one has ever collapsed onstage. If you watch the whole show, you can see Papa running offstage pretty frequently- at least one a song, and between most songs. I assume he’s getting water he doesn’t overheat. I guess the ghouls have it easier since modern ghoul masks have their mouths exposed, at least.
I understand Papa is singing the ‘Yes’ part in the studio version, but who is saying it in the live versions?! I like to believe it would be Swiss aha 🥵
When I saw Impera at Target I didn't know Ghost but loved the art work for months. Bought the album, liked it but Griftwood and Call me little Sunshine stuck. Google search, spotify overload, 1 year later and now I own every physical CDz deluxe and all -GHOST🤘 4:31
