Honey Badger is classified as PDW (Personal Defence Weapon). It's made to be like a M4 but even lighter and compact form. It also uses .300 AAC Blackout (7,62x35mm) which is made ot mimic the 7.62x39mm intermediate cartridges ballistic properties.
A personal defense weapon is just a weapon that's not intended for a service role and is instead meant as a weapon for personal protection: they can be submachine guns, assault rifles, or even pistols. Since it isn't the intended role of the Honey Badger I wouldn't call it a PDW, but it would still be an assault rifle since it matches the definition of those: rifle with select fire capabilities chambered in an intermediate cartridge. Regardless, it's just a game and Ubisoft aren't exactly experts on firearms. They would probably put the BAR in the "Assault Rifle" category if they added it to the game.
@@andreivaldez2929i know this is an old comment but the Honey Badger was originally created by Q to replace the MP5. TFB TV has a few reviews about the weapon and James Reeves does interview Q&A with the owner of Q.
I love the MP7 but it looks so weird in Breakpoint. It looks like the entire weapon model should be scaled down at least 50%. As it is, it's comically enormous. Some of the sniper rifles suffer from this as well but MP7 is easily the worst offender.
Technically you’re correct the HoneyBadger is more of a compact AR-15 but the owner of Q did design it to replace the MP5. It is chambered in .300 blackout and is meant to be shot suppressed with subsonic rounds.
The honey badger also is chambered in 300 Blackout which was designed to be fired subsonic out of a short barrel. Relatively quiet but hits like a truck.
@@davidponder1654 The beauty of it tho is you can carry different types of the ammo, a few mags of subsonic when you need to be really quiet and a few mags of hot loads. Subsonic hits like a 45 but supersonic will hit like a 30/30. Interesting round nonetheless
It was worth grinding out the Panther class for it, but it's a little odd of a reward. Panther already gets a buff to silenced SMGs. I got it to use on my echelon since the integral silencer doesn't effect the damage (according to numbers), but I wish it had the stat perks that the CQC variant had (namely reload bonuses).
Good list. What? No love for my P90? MP7s a good second best. Funny, I always thought the Vector and Honey Badger felt like pea shooters. Looking forward to the next one. Think I’m in the minority with snipers though. I like the Recon A1.
Honey badger is probably closer to a personal defense weapon along the same lines as the mp7 and the PDR so its basically in between assault rifles and smgs
SMG wise I started with the base Scorpion and moved onto the CQC (Weirdly named since it has a longer barrel than the standard version) and then to Tactical later and find all of them perfect since they are highly accurate and have a high rate of fire letting you mow down enemies quickly.
Yea i never got that either, longer barrel but shorter range? Thats why i always buy them for the two skills of handling and range, no recoil and it has the range that it should have
im running Bullpup PDW and Honeybadger. Both have the same stats. one is 5.56 and the other is 7.62 with the range modifier they can out do most ASR and some DMRs.
Personally I think the P90 is the best, it has a 50 round magazine, quick reload time, deals out a lot of damage and its range is decent. Soon as I got the P90 I almost feel OP, the dudes with the mini guns all of a sudden seem to extremely easy. The only thing it lacks is customization options.
I had to put a small magazine on the Honey Badger just to make the reload time somewhat functional during a fire fight. The only thing it has got for it is a ton of customization options.
Probably not even worth doing LMG top 5, just isn't really enough of them but just want to throw out there that the SAW is unbelievably good in this game. First 5 rounds that leave the barrel are hitting the same space, goes a bit wild after that but this thing will destroy pretty much anything in the game. Saved my friend and I several times when attacked by a swarm of flying drones and helicopters. 7.62 as well for some reason. Epic weapon. Louder than God himself after a crate of beer though...
Thanks for the video. But my bullpup didn't even make the list lol, y'all sleeping on it. I stopped using any ASR and replaced it with the bullpup submachine gun. Recon S1, Bullpup, FN 5.7 my load out . If not sniping at all , then I use shotguns ,they so fun.
I am disappoint you did not mention that the Vector Shorty can use the underslung GL. We went over this in another comment! I'm teasing, but I only make such a stink about it since I honestly didn't even think to check the attachments for such a thing and it flew under my radar for a long time. 'ppreciate the vids bud.
Having problems in the raid. I need to find some friends to play with. Just subscribed. Great info on your channel. You mentioned a discord. What is a discord ? Been trying to acquire some weapons that you mentioned. Mpx tactical,416 black ice. Many more I have the scorpion evo3 CQC,trying to get the tactical version
so you can download discord on your phone, we have our own server full of hundreds of people who you can chat with, raid with, ask questions, we do voice chats and you can also come on the podcast. just download it from discord website or the app on your phone
@@BulletCatcherGaming just looking in the App Store, which discord do I download ? I am sorry I have so many questions. But I want to learn how to raid, and hopefully makes a few friends to play with.
If I'm not mistaking there are three different versions of the honey badger in real life. When I say three different versions I mean three different configurations based on application or theater. It comes in a rifle configuration which has a 16 inch barrel with a threaded barrel that can accept any muzzle device or a suppressor. You also have the SBR version of the honey badger which means short barrel rifle which comes in with a 14in threaded barrel that can take any muzzle device or suppressor on it. The last and more modern or newer version of the honey badger apparently is a PDW which means personal defense weapon and it comes in with a 10in barrel usually or sometimes even a 8 inch barrel most often apparently it comes in with a integrated suppressor in other words you cannot put any other muzzle device on it you are stuck with a suppressor on it.
There's also the "pistol" version for the civilian market in the US. The upper receiver comes in different configurations depending on what you want to buy - since suppressors, or silencers, are restricted items in the US you can buy the upper receiver as either the integrated suppresor or just a threaded barrel.
Hey Bullet my TOP SMG is the Tommy Gun from the 1920s I want to roll up on the wolves say hello to my little Tommy Gun friend hahah but yeah would be epic . Hmm 🤔 I've done the whole entire world of military outfits maybe I'll do some Outfits from different movies sounds like a good idea 💡 good day to you Mortal 🏛️🌄.
I started playing this game on immersive mode I wanted to know how does the gear score thing works if I turn it on mid way. Do I have to grind my gear score up? I'm asking for the raid weapons
Damage numbers are odd in-game. The Vector shoots .45 but deals 22 damage, meanwhile the MP5 shoots 9mm, with 29 damage. Of course, it's a matter of game balance over realism. I do love the MP5 because it deals slightly more damage than some AR's. Notably, the 416 (27 damage, fires 5.56x45). And then there's the Honey Badger dealing 32 damage but still being in the SMG category. And the MP7 dealing 23 damage, with the P90 dealing a bit more (24-ish). To ease confusion, there should've been a PDW category for these guns I mentioned, instead of putting them where they don't belong. And have the stats reflect their IRL purpose, with slightly less damage than AR's (P90 AND MP7 dealing 25, P90 has more recoil and worse mobility) but with better bullet trajectory and easier time penetrating armor (higher bodyshot damage against Wolves, one-shot headshot on armoured Bodarks and Heavy Gunners) and weak cover, making these guns more viable, and making bullet-sponges like the Bodarks a smaller pain in the ass.
The best is hands down the Vector Shorty since its the only SMG that can attach a grenade launcher! (the Quantum can also but it has lower damage than the Shorty) Now if we are excluding the racket launcher function, the best in cqc is the MP7 since it has the highest stats and it only lacks range, which in cqc you don't need. If you want to use it as an ASR, then yes, The Honey Badger or even the Bullpub PDR would be the best choices due to the high damage per bullet.
I want more 1980s SMG's I've been watching too much of Miami Vice 🤣😂🔥 it's getting closer to June hope for the XM-8 Assault Rifle 🔥🏛️🏹🌄 but good video hail Greek Mythology and I love my blue twi'lek women hail !
I’m honestly surprised that honey badger is first it’s one of my favorite secondaries to use I can hit targets 150 meters out so it’s definitely not a bad gun at all
I am sad that my fav didn't make the list. I love the Scorpion EVO3 CQC. And it is even better now with the latest software update. All the weapons are better now I find.
I don't understand why the badger is considered and SMG. You apply an ASR silencer. Iv always know the badger to be a compact ASR. Even researching the gun says ASR.
UZI, slow ROF (slow enough to control but not too slow), slaps hard, unrealistic range, nearly zero recoil, extremely manageable. Best SMG by far, not even close. Run that with an AA12 you can go loud and sledgehammer any base solo with ease
Funniest thing about this is the Honey Badger shoots .300 blackout, not 7.62. This game is ridiculous with the ammo types. They also have every .50 cal rifle in the game chambered in .338, the 5.7 and the SC handgun is chambered in 5.56 instead of it's namesake the 5.7 round. Lol
There is not debate. The Submachine gun fires pistol rounds, whereas the Honey Badger fires a standard Rifle round, that is the defining factor the determines whether or not it's a Submachine gun. The people that made the video game got it's designation wrong.
@@BulletCatcherGaming I know because we have not see much love for LMGS or for As Val which is Russian weapon that has 9.39mm rounds which has not seen the game
Statistically the MPX tactical cannot keep up with the Evo3 Tactical's damage/accuracy/handling/range differences. In game it makes little difference. To be honest nothing is "better" than the Vectors or the Evo3. I tend to pick high rates of fire, high damage, and select 3 shot burst. I disagree with the Honey Badger being best and will qualify that by saying I use it a LOT and every time I do it knowing that I am giving up damage in doing so (but it is a neat rifle in real life so..). It is great but not the best. A lot depends on whether you stick to using Assault with assault, SMG's with Panther etc... to get the perks. My loadouts for performance tend to be Sniper or DMR and Assault or SMG. If SMG it has to be a Vector or Evo3. If assault there are multiple good ones. If DMR I prefer things like the 416 Scout to things like the mk14 (accuracy trumps damage for me and I prefer 3 round burst here as well). If sniper TAC 50 always gets picked (mostly because I finally got a lvl 300 to drop a year back or so but also because it is the best). My pet peeve with the gunsmith is that you cannot choose how many rounds you want fired in the burst setting (although that reflects reality). It would be epic to be able to change that setting to 2 or 4 or 5 based on how much damage you need and how much recoil the rifle generates.
@@BulletCatcherGaming I was like I used it alot and it spanks all of my ASR's in nearly every category. Other then the MDR but that was in the latest update and new.
MP7 shoulda been number 1. Honey Badger is ASR, even in Wildlands they catogerised it as ASR. Range on MP7 is much better than stats indicate. Very reliable SMG. Where is the original video for this top 5 series? Or how can I vote in the next ones?
You said the MP5 has "the highest firepower in class", it is 29? It's close but the Bullpup PDR is higher at 31 PWR/DMG in class. Also everyone talks about the Honey Badger, BUT the stats on the Bullpup are IDENTICAL to the Honey Badger. Same PWR/DMG at 31, 800 RPMs and if you have the same talents on both it shows the stats at the SAME Accuracy, Handling, Range Mobility & Recoil. However, the Bullpup is not even mentioned, no one ever talks about it?? TRY the Bullpup for awhile, you will like it, IF you like the Honey Badger.
The vector shorty with +30 handling and +30 range, with maxed weapon mastery is god tier. Its literally the best smg when you have max smg mastery. shreds like a fully auto .50 bmg if it had no recoil
The vector quantum has no recoil as part of it's design and I find it very accurate and useable out to about 250 meters. The top 3 are NOT good SMG choices, honey badger is really an ASR not a SMG and the mp5/mp7 really are not fun to actually shoot in game.
You seem to like *EVERY* weapon and think *EVERY* weapon is "the greatest"... do you ever say anything that isn't straddling the fence? Eh, doesn't matter, I'm over it. These videos were showing up in my autofeed... I think I'll fix that now.
