Wildlands was gangsta and dark asf. That is part of the reason why I still prefer to play it over breakpoint. People were being tortured and hanged, bricks of cocaine were everywhere, and being in a real location like Bolivia made it feel like a movie.
Even if it were schoolgirls it would still been better cause it actually had civilians, cities, etc , this game has almost nothing so even a fart in a forest is better than Breakpoint.
Wild lands was criminally underrated. It was the sort of game that fizzled out after a month but it definitely deserved a lot more attention. I’m re-installing it now because I truly love it.
I got wildlands instead of breakpoint about 7 months ago because honestly after watching many reviews on breakpoint, wildlands seemed like a better purchase and not as boring.
@@Petdubdo you guys know if ghost wars still has a good amount of people that play it because that was one of my favorite things to play, I had wildlands on my ps4 and loved but it broke and I think I’m gonna get it again so I just wanted to know
@@LilBiscuit1 uhhh I haven’t been on ghost wars in a while (4 months) but the last time I was on it was an okay amount of ppl. Obviously it’ll be not as good as it was In 2017 but yeah it had a decent amount considering it was 3-4 years old lol.
@bouchy85 Same. I have a good online connection but I refuse to play online only games. I'm not putting effort into a game that has an expiration date.
Yep sticking with wildlands but I've played it out . but yeah this whole running mechanic without being able to put away guns looks terrible and look weird when I played the beta . I haven't been hearing anything good about this game lol.
@@1500Chevy I must say i like the Animations in Breakpoint much more, i´m a soldier for myself (of course no SF dude :D ) but i recognize many of my movements
It’s like Skyrim and oblivion no one cared for oblivion but when they got Skyrim they loved oblivion more because your more welcomed when you save the world. But in Skyrim nothing changes but able to tell guards to look away known as dragon born.
Yeah, but Holt still jokes when you talk with him in Erewhon at least, i heard that Fixit would be a new "joker" of the squad, at least he described that way, too bad we haven't got Fury, Vasily and Fixit at the release, now they have to come up with some kind of a mission at least to add them, it won't make any sense if one day ai teammates will just pop up out of nowhere for players, who obviously already started playing the game without waiting for Ubisoft to add them, hope that they thought about it too
I don’t like hearing “Le Santaa, Le Santaaa, Le Saaannnttaa Blanca! Oy yo mamasita” (or whatever the last part is) just as much as I don’t like hearing “Imagine having enough money to buy an Island..” over and over and over again
Breakpoint is trash....the voice acting is so horrendous I skip every cutscene.....this is one game I would have looooooved if it was a cut and paste of wildlands just with better graphics and some improvements
The number one reason out of many I love Wildlands over Breakpoint is NPC. Nothing like seeing a giant base and calling in your NPC squadmates and army of Rebels storm the base as you watch from a cliff and provide support as your army demolished everything. Sometimes it’s even funnier when I attacked an Unidad base and some Rebels stole their tank and used it against them. Was awesome to watch.
But thats the problem with this video... THEY DOO!!!!! He showed when RUNNING uphill, but when u walk he uses his hands to get up the hill... And even the bike thing... EVERYBODY knows the vehicles drive better in Breakpoint...
@@Mr.Wayne.1 no way man. The bikes are absolutely trash! Even worse than in wildlands. The controls and physics for helicopters are the worst I've ever played in any game ever. Its like no one at ubisoft ever played gta5. For an arcade feel, GTA got it right. For something a little more realistic, battlefield did heli physics pretty well. Ubisoft really got lazy here. Both wildlands and breakpoint make helicopters antifun to use. I will give you that cars and trucks definitely feel better in breakpoint tho. Not great but better.
Y have they taken that out?i used to do that all the time so i could get a better view etc but now all i can see intead yof the beautiful landscapes in breakpoint is my players back taking up a good quarter of the screen🤔
The reason I loved Wildlands is that it was one of those games you could play again after years of not playing, yet still have a ton of fun. Wildlands seemed to have an endless amount of things to do, and due to the large map size, different terrain and seemingly endless missions or things to collect, I found myself enjoying Wildlands alot more then Breakpoint.
Yeah but the optimization is dogwater, it runs smooth in some areas and dips like crazy in places like espiritu santo and barvechos, for how the game actually looks, the fps is pretty bad
@@falsecatalyst3936 these have to be the most dogshit reasons to prefer the other game, the game is literally fine, fps andys see 1 frame drop and they hate the game, its laughable
...and another thing WL has going for it, is that the story: like it or not...simply because it is about something real, and interesting, narcos, it automatically has its own lore. Ask anyone who speaks Spanish ( I do ) and played the game: of the music on the radio... there is about an album of music written about the different bosses, songs about their exploits....that isn't a random thing to have done ( write songs about narco bosses), songs about narcos are called corridos and are part of the narco world. In the way of a story that ties all of your actions to the, places, people AND map...wildlands is lightyears ahead of break point, and many other open world games.
@@InglesSpanishConversation You're right. Another thing I loved was the easter eggs, like when they had the predator mission (until the license ran out).
You also have to take into consideration that Breakpoint didnt require as much work as creating a completely new game. They had a template (Wildlands) and spent 2 years adding and subtracting from it. Therefore, they actually had 7 years of if you take into consideration the template and dont really have an excuse for why Wildlands has some aspects that are better, quality-wise, than Breakpoint.
A small animation difference I recently noticed, In breakpoint when you stop aiming, you just snap your weapon down like any other third person shooter. But In wildlands, when you stop aiming your character will keep the weapon up and check left and right before lowering the weapon
Ever heard a grenade explode? It's more like in wildlands. Bp looks good but it's too much fire and it sounds too much like a electrical space explosion. Grenades produce mostly smoke and a loud short bang with a wave of pressure. That's what's missing most of the time, the "oomph" feeling after a something exploded. You know you can survive the shrapnel but what the pressure does to your vessels is devastating.
@@TheTrainMaster15 well, the problem with that is, Walker and his wolves are litterally killing civillians, not smart to drive when every other car on the road is a squad of soldiers wanting to kill you
Actually, you’re right. It’s less intrusive and has less P2W aspects compared to Wildlands. Sucks Wildlands has weapons you can buy only on the store, in addition to loot crates. Both not seen in Breakpoint’s store.
Fye but unlike Wildlands there was no looter shooter aspects Why make weapons buyable, it makes the looter shooter aspect of GR redundant, you’re paying to play less
As of this comment, Breakpoint has immersion mode, but I've noticed that Wildlands' animals react to sound, which is a nice touch. Alongside your characters' ears ringing from explosions.
Breakpoint's crouch running makes the character model look like they have a back injury. As for sound design: Wildlands sounds more punchy or meaty, if you will.
Eh idk about the sounds. Some guns sound like glorified firecrackers IRL and the echo seems better in breakpoint. Though, it's only a game so if you prefer the more mid heavy punchy sounds of wildlands I get that.
@@Xansmist well it seems like a lot of the smaller details in breakpoint look better, but the larger world and lighting in wild lands is better. So visually, it’s more of a mix
its realistic crouching in games isn't as easy as it looks, give it a try on crouching like in ghost recon compared to breakpoint, Breakpoint gives a realistic crouch because it is actually hard to crouch like that in ghost recon
@@theverybadsniper6910 well the point is that we don't want a realistic shooter when we play ghost recon. Anyone interested in total realism can play ArmA or Squad. Actually, the thing is that you can't crouch like that for too long in real life, especially with a backpack since your back will hurt a lot so in that case the only game in the world with a realistic crouch is OFP cold war crisis since you can't move while crouching in the game and if you try to move forward, the character will stand up and move. The real thing buddy is how lazy Ubisoft is in creating animations. like how your character still teleports up and down while on a bike in this game even after loads of updates and fixes.
@@TheShortbread123 Wildlands might not be a "true Ghost Recon" game, but I enjoyed EVERY minute of it (extreme difficulty+no HUD)! And it is one of my favorite games.
After 100 hours in breakpoint, I've gone back to Wildlands. Now I have 300 hours in Wildlands and it may be my last ghost recon game. I can replay it endlessly.
I would say get breakpoint, wildlands had 2 years of fixing. People give wildlands so much credit and assume breakpoint wont reach a higher place. Breakpoint is a way stronger foundation at launch than wildlands, by a long shot. Im speaking as a console payer and wildlands crashed frequently when it launched. Breakpoint already has better mechanics, customization (of settings), and servers. Just give it time to gain momentum, right now everyone is shitting on it while most people playing it are having a lot of fun.
Zac Carter Thats the problem with gaming nowadays, they profit from gamers and people like you are like “give them time”... I can’t remember buying a game from Ubisoft or EA got tired of paying full price for barely half of the game
Lil Willy J.R it’s not realistic at all name one thing and don’t say sliding down a mountain I fucking walk down a 90 degree ledge like it was nothing the sliding is more annoying than anything else especially when fighting enemies
@@drivernephi170 You're also forced into managing inventory in a UI where you can't even sort any of the gear and there's no bulk sell/trash options. If you refuse it'll just pile up until you can't even pick up loot halting progress completely. So not only does the loot system not even really add anything it is actively taking away from playing the game and breaking immersion.
Yeah, remember when we had to EARN all the vanila weapons as well as all the attachments? That was a challenge with a worthy reward, and all the builds for weapons too, like turning scar MK17 into scar MK20 and alike
@@valhalanguardsman2588 "And all the builds for weapons" Now they have weapon "variants" which partially fills the hole they dug by making the weapon customization more restrictive and they use these "variants" to claim "ThErE iS MoRe GuNs In ThE gAmE". Which is essentially Ubisoft pissing on our legs and telling us it's raining.
I liked the story of wild lands better because you had A.I teammates and there was lots of lore for it, and wild lands was you being on a spec ops mission to kill a drug lord while breakpoints story felt similar to Far Cry 3. There are new A.I teammates in breakpoint but the lore isn’t as good but it’s a good add
I had the same feeling when I played through Wildlands. I kept thinking to myself that this was definitely like a next-gen Mercenaries with the gameplay, it felt awesome.
DAMN I wasn’t the only one! Wildlands totally has Mercenaries vibes, it honestly feels like somewhat of a spiritual successor to that series. Loved those games
JC4 for the most part looks better than 3 graphically, but the water was downgraded, and there a ton of graphical glitches. JC4 isn't as bad as people say but it's got issues still
Wildlands set a new standard and has a massive replay value unlike any other game in a long time. I could easily live with the whole engine GRW has if it would be set in a new world with new missions, objectives and side stories and what not. Middle east might be a new one to step in. Maybe the Afghan/China border area could be interesting to have a variety of surfaces and locations.
I disagree with Afghanistan... Bolivia in Wildlands had lots of variations, there are forests, woodlands, jungles, swamps, flat sandy deserts, rocky deserts, salt deserts, lakes, rivers, islands, snowy mountains, regular mountains and hills, urban towns, rural villages, facilities, bases, factories, underground bases.. There was literally everything. But in Afganistan you would have nothing but sand, rocks and hills throughout the whole map. We've seen from Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain how bad it is when you're constantly surrounded by the same atmosphere, you can easily get sick of it. Personally i couldn't finish MGSV because i got sick of Afghanistan and Africa for the whole game, nothing but deserts all the time.. It would be better if they followed the varied settings of Wildlands. Or, they could just ditch the open world idea and make a linear game like Future Soldier, where you have levels in almost every part of the world.
Lmao please don't pull a bungie on us ubisoft. Destiny 2 is waaaaay better now than in the release, but it's still fucking up and is slowly (but surely) dying after every disappointing update.
biggest difference is the fact that breakpoint has a constant internet connection requirement. imagine not being able to play single player on day 1 because ubisoft needed to update their servers
falloutboy33 Report him to every possible bureau, this kind of violation should not be accepted or ignored. Dude you see what I see? He literally defended constant internet connection. Leave the world man, because I am contacting aliens and they are about to attack. "gO oUtsIdE wHiLe tHeY uPdAtE" Can I hug you man? I am seriously crying right now. Crying to this situation. This just shouldn't happen, this must be illegal to some country laws. There gotta be some way to delete that dickhead.
I think the enemies in wildlands are one of the things that makes wildlands just a bit better. The drones were unwelcome. To me. A realistic enemy type is more immersive than generic soldiers.
I'm definitely picking up RDR2 on PC - though I own the console version on XboxOneX. So it's either a comparison between that, or a comparison between the PC version of GTAV. Haven't decided yet - I'm surprised how quickly they decided to release that port
I always thought the sound effects for the guns feel so pathetic like you’re shooting an air soft gun. I don’t like the battlefield series but they’ve always have some of the best sound effects of Fire Arms.
This reminds of mercenaries, it was a great game But even here we don’t have the variety of military transport such as tanks and many many more things I’d love to see another mercenaries game
Honestly. Been looking for something similar to mercenaries 2 but can’t find anything like it. The amount of tanks and helicopters and all around fun you could have in that game was insane for its time. Wish mercs 3 would come out.
I really liked Breakpoint better, but Wildlands felt better just because it felt alive with people. I finished both games... Meh each has it's advantages and disadvantages.
Got 260+ hours in Breakpoint. Game is enjoyable for me if you choose immersive mode. Also you can turn on/off AI teammates. What´s still annoying about gameplay is the sound of acceleration and the fact that Nomad keep pushing motor to the maximum... although I press the gas to half power. It drives me crazy sometimes, because I love the feeling of that slow driving through unpaved terrain with an 4x4 vehicle, especially when it´s rainy evening somewhere in eastern Wild Coast. Greetings from Slovakia to all Auroa operators!
my biggest issue with Breakpoint is just how samey the world looks, there is no diversity in biomes really, the music is kind of depressing as is th overall world design, it's for me just not fun moving through this world. It feels bleak in a negative way and lacks for me the atmosphere of fictional Bolivia. I tried to play it due to it simply having the better tech visually speaking, but as in overall look and gameplay i vastly prefer Wildlands. Just a shame that we still don't know anything about the next installment of Ghost Recon open world games.
@@Zexuiya My brother and I got Wildlands day one and we didn't encounter any game breaking bugs in our coop play through. It's not like ubi can't deliver if they actually try.
Even with all of Breakpoint's faults, I still love playing it. The game is absolutely beautiful and the gear just looks really good. And Ubisoft has done a great job with improving Breakpoint and there is more to come. Its honestly a fun game.
I mean if you had only played gta online and went straight for not so much popural series like this , you should probbably go play something else before this for example doom eternal or bioshock or Far Cry series , maybe rainbow six siege will be good , im not saying that the game is bad absolutely no iam just saying you could play more popular and probbably more fun games if you only played gta online .
@@DanielJW247 buddys right. It is pay to win. You can grind for everything, but someone can have the better stuff now if they buy it. So pay money and have better gear faster. That's pay to win. Since I'm not into the pvp aspect I don't care personally, but for those that are into pvp, this is totally unfair.
you could have compared the ingame shop. and the always on "feature" I prefer Wildlands by far. Because Wildlands is no looter shooter and enemies drop what they shot with.
I am GLAD that i played Breakpoints Beta. Of all I've seen so far of breakpoint nothing interests me. Wildlands is such a good game. What makes it for me is the setting in Bolivia. Not a big fan of a hightech island
It's on sale for 20€ and I picked it up because I loved wildlands. DO NOT BUY BREAKPOINT its super boring and dead and the bugs even tho are getting fixed are annoying. Everything feels so clunky and out of your control
Wildlands had one of the best soundtracks and a fantastic setting. Voice acting and scritping was great. All BP did better was slightly better graphics. Wildlands is a far better game.
It wasn't addressed, but I find the player animations in Breakpoint to be strange all around. Even just a light jog seems unnatural. Everything seems to be pinned to an axis located in the pelvis, and it's weird.
Enjoying the hell out of this game. The huge areas with the map are awesome. Really cool to pull up to random outposts or factories or science labs. Or air bases and having to take out all the dudes and drones. And the game looks so damn good in 4K HDR. Haters gonna hate. But the game is fun as hell.
I just started Ghost Recon: Wildlands on Friday and it’s honestly *one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life!* Anybody else have that same experience?
gameplay is very good on Wildland, there is a tactical freedom that I don't find on Breakpoint. Breakpoint is graphically well done and the beginning of the game is intense but then it's very empty... and fighting robots I don't care, I quickly stopped and I'm going to start Wildland again
same here..started today...didn t notice i had the game allready in my inventory...wow, love it...great action, great contend, great graphics...need to stop writing, need to play ! :P
That will be bizarre, lol medieval 2 had matched combat 15 years ago, nowadays 3 kingdoms have units swinging their swords around like toys (as a bonus, we have to pay for blood effects).
@@maaz322 being the first or the last, the point is how absurd it is to pay for blood effects in a war game. Arguably one of the most offensive practices in the industry, but not many people talk about it (or even know) because total war is not a mainstream/popular series.
@@RRRRRRRRR33 The game already has blood, but the $3 DLC is for excessive blood and brutality. I personally don't have any qualms with it, being that there are companies that peddle even less substantial micro-transactions for more. What about Crusader Kings, that game can't stand on its two legs without purchasing the copious amounts of DLC or units packs. There certainly are worse things out there than a gore modification that changes the entire aesthetic of battles, like unlocking small key chains for your pink gun
The HUGE difference between Wildlands and Breakpoint is that if you bought Wildlands you actually own the game. If you bought Breakpoint you're only renting the game because the game is on servers, you don't own the servers, and one day they will shut those servers down. I'll stick with Wildlands because I can play it whenever I want and forever how long I want because the entire game is on a Disc, that I own.
Lmao its exactly like comparing Assasins creed origins with odyssey. Origins had better animations at everything. Here happens the same thing, I would swap just the graphics and glady play again wildlands instead of breakpoint. That crouch animation on breakpoint its so bad i cant deal with it lol
I bought breakpoint first thinking it was going to be better. I put 30 hours into it and then got wild lands. I am enjoying the wild lands way more than the breakpoint. They made this one with the campaign in mind I like it
1:30 that little 3D grass cover is so nice, small effect but so noticable, that goes for tesselation in general as well, hope RDR2 PC will have more of it as well (as console versions already had some tesselation)
As always great comparison video! The one thing im curious if youve noticed yourself, that i have when I played the beta was the bad ugly looking waterfalls and like whenever your swimming or walking in water or on a boat the water foam looks horrible and pixelated. The water effects and foam looked 10x better in ac4 black flag and thats an old game now.
i think textures are actually still fine, they still hold up, but yeah, gras and bushes could really use an update, trees are still kind of fine. but in fact, i really want a new Ghost Recon open world game :(
Tjez Mooij s d this game ain’t it’s more of the same in breakpoint hack this hack that rescue him rescue her destroy truck it’s the same boring bullshit even in the half assed story in breakpoint
I got breakpoint like 3 days ago and I’m glad I never experienced it when it came out. The game is actually quite fun now and the Kit and Gear look so much better than wildlands.
Your character sneaks differently depending on what type of gun you have in your hands as well as the echelon perk he seams to crouch more I have noticed he sneaks slightly differently with a pistol in his hand than to a rifle
Yeah when the character has a heavier weapon equipped like a sniper rifle or a lmg or something they have a animation where they are trying to stay balanced carry the weapon and something I really like is while they are doing that they try not to step on really uneven rocks and stuff which I really like but anyways when the character is carrying only a pistol or smg or other light weapons the animation isn’t as rugged and stiff so it’s pretty realistic
Not sure why you would hate something that has literally zero affect on gameplay lmao. Youre so trained to think colored loot matters that you cant even use your brain and realize the guns arent getting stronger
When it came to grenade sound effects I found wildlands more realistic, this is due to the fact that if you're close to the explosion you notice your character's ears start to ring which will happen if your close enough to a explosion IRL.
@@rickylafleur9601 I did in Feb, only because of DLC mind you, but before that I don't think I have touched it since June 2020 or something like that. As you said and I find it the perfect description, boring. There's absolutely nothing to do it's completely empty. And the side/faction missions you get to do every day are just the same sht over and over.
@@JustinMacri007 Very arcade like. Even on the easiest difficulty you're dropping several magazines into enemies while you get hit 3 times and you're dead. I lost interest completely in The Division.
My buddy and I just switched back to Wildlands tonight. Realizing we were annoyed even finding the loot in the bases. That shit should be magic. Can't wait to see what the devs learn from this
Just replayed wildlands and damn, it really is more fun than breakpoint... I mean if you just put immersive mechanics like wounds, stamina, prone camo, blow torch in wildlands, it would be close to perfect.
Over all I love the Ghost Recon series game-play. I am playing Wildlands and really despise the camera movement when going into revers from drive. The camera is thrown back to view your vehicle and it does not help much with seeing where you are going.
Man, they should just add more interactive environment, like destruction of bulidings, trees, rocks and enemies, more teamplay options (carring our teammates out of fire, healing, buffing, providing smoke cover, fixing vehicles and armour, supressing the enemy, etc), more equipment options (sheilds, heavier armour overall or just for some parts, automatic and controllable turrets whith proper damage + improved vehicles so they can be actually usefull to move across that damn hills. All that kind of stuff, not just several grenades and mines) and that would be my next great game.
