What’s the movie about?
In order to save his father from an accident, stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) sells his soul to the devil. This deal has a price: human by day, Ghost Rider by night, he’s now the devil’s bounty hunter. With a flaming skull and a fiery motorcycle, he is sent to hunt down sinners.

@@ventricality6997 of course it can be brushed off with it just being a movie but realistically by making a deal that you double cross by killing their family it would break someone pretty easily and make them more manipulatable/posessable after the fact. It's basically the path johnny was going down before he got back with roxanne, a husk that the rider would posess for like a month to take down the guy the devil wanted and then leave for dead himself

It is a shame this was a year before Iron Man when the MCU started, and also a shame they could not bring Ghost Rider in sooner before the AOS version. This Ride is one of the coolest shots of a movie ever.

The biggest sin of this movie was not having the two Ghost Riders fight side by side at the end. Especially with that unpredictable line. The last thing Blackheart would have expected is for our hero to have backup.

Well it's just that, he mentioned the location was over 500 miles away. That's a five hour drive at least, maybe more. By the time Johnny got there the sun was on the verge of rising, plus neither of these guys took a road. Carter was probably saving his last transformation in case he was ever found or the scroll was compromised; but since a new Ghost Rider took the mantle it didn't really matter. I think Carter knew Johnny would win when he said he didn't lose his spirit. We see in the other movie the ghost rider can practically send the devil himself back to hell, so two is probably overkill. Plus, you gotta look at it like this. Homie has been cursed since the industrial revolution, he's probably fought more people than you or I could count and lived the equivalent of three human lives. If you're immortal, a lot of things get old. Sometimes you have to let people fight their own fights and let things write themselves. Johnny fought half of the battle in the light of day, basically showed that the main villain was never a match, even with the scroll.

Carter was waiting for a new ghost rider to come and take his place and he had to safeguard the scroll until then. And his last ride was him passing on his legacy and he also truly wanted to die but he couldn’t until a new rider showed up.

Carter Slade was always the cooler ghost rider imo. He did it for a good reason, his ride was a horse, and both horse and rider looked way cooler. What's more badass than a fiery cowboy riding his equally fiery trusty hellhorse through the desert night to op music?! And the flaming hoof prints he left behind, so cool.

I love the quote in this scene which is "Can you keep up?" asked Johnny and the Caretaker's horse transforms into some kind of Ghost Horse being like it's rider which needs no words, just action. Love it!
