Both Lawrence Welk and his musicians threw off a certain American vibe: innocent, professional, clean, etc. that can’t be matched today. No “look at me” type musicians. Timeless and classic.
@toomanyhobbies2011

Where did this "innocence" idea come from? These people just beat Fascism in WWII. They were far from innocent, they had just defended freedom and were taking in the best life had to offer. The current generation is just plain ignorant and stupid. (I don't mean you)

The LAWRENCE WELK SHOW was a staple on Sunday night TV for one hundred years during the 1950s and '60s. Wayne Newton was a frequent guest, The Lemmon Sisters, singers, dancers, groups. It was truly a family show and totally unique unto itself. There was never anying like it, before or after. Welk spoke with an odd accent but he was an American, born in PENNSYLVANIA. NO BODY could ever forget the iconic, "An' a one, an' a two.", before every number. My neighbor wanted to be a pharmacist but got busted for pot and wound up being Lawrence We lks' personal bartender, in his home. After that news, I always wondered what happened to him. However, The Lawrence Welk Show is iconic! "An' a one an' a two..." RIP Lawrence Welk🙏🏼 👏🏼👏🏽👏

I'm familiar with the vocal version, but this instrumental is just as great. We used to have such great music. Thanks.
