Thanks for the encouragement, Lee! I fancy myself as somewhat of a "trend-setter" in high fashion, so I wouldn’t be surprised if everybody’s wearing TWO sets, soon!🤣🤣🤣 Honestly though…I just needed to see…I couldn’t afford to care about how I looked.
That wheel may have been from a baby stroller. I found 2 at a mine town and I had to sit back and reflect on this young mother, struggling to push her stroller over uneven ground , while her husband was deep digging in a mine. That hole, not being a foundation, might be an exploratory hole, looking for a coal seam.
I’ve seen modern ones like them; called “tremulo” harmonicas. But the trees growing out of the foundations tell me that it’s been a century since the mine shut down…so it must have been old.
