It tells the intertwined story of two childhood memories about ghost trains by East German historian Anja Werner and West Berlin social anthropologist Sarah Fichtner. The motion comic is based on childhood memories generated in the “Re-Connect / Re-Collect: Crossing the Divides through Memories of Cold War Childhoods” project led by Zsusza Millei (Tampere University), Nelli Piattoeva (Tampere University) and Iveta Silova (Arizona State University). The production of the comic was enabled through a generous grant from the Kone Foundation (Finland), which funds the aforementioned research project.
