The credits from the original 1984 film, featuring Ray Parker Jr.'s "Ghostbusters", The Bus Boys' "Cleaning Up The Town", and Alessi's "Savin' The Day"
Without joking, I can't say how many times I've seen these End credits in my life. 1000x? Even back then, as a child, I always rewound the VHS tape to the beginning of the End Credits.
2:00 see those kids waving those Ghostbusters T-shirts? I'm waiting for the now current kids to waving those shirts once again. Its awesome seeing the new kids enjoy what we enjoyed as kids.
Sad news today, Ghostbusters fans. Ivan Reitman (the director of Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters 2 (1989)) just passed away yesterday. He will be missed. 😢😢😢
Another great one dies, I know nothing about it, and am again sorry I read the comment informing me of said passing. It's an ignorance (was) bliss horrifying awakening to the truth of our shared mortality.
@@shaneomacdaddy Reitman was responsible for so many amazing films in addition to GBs including Twins, Stripes and many others and you choose to mention perhaps his most unremarkable movie, Beethoven. Well at least Beethoven seems to have brought you some joy. But, wow. Really?
They remembered that in the sequel and when they finished the villain off in part 2 he was standing outside screaming "I did it I'm a ghostbuster" Of course he had nothing to do with it he believed he did and so did the people standing around him cheering so he got his moment
Brilliant bid of editing at 02:04….when Ecto 1 stops reversing and you get that mini ‘bridge’ moment in the song and it’s like suspense and then Ecto 1 revs up again and drives away as the song fires up again…
In Remembrance to Harold Ramis role as Egon Spengler (Born: November 21, 1944 - Died: February 24, 2014) Ivan Reitman as the film and television director, producer and screenwriter. (Born: October 27, 1946 - Died: February 12, 2022)
I’m 33 but my coworker that was in his teens and went to see opening weekend at the movie theater said everyone was cheering and clapping must have been quite the spectacle
Never stop saying it. Ghostbusters of one of three of my absolutely favorite pieces of cinematographic art next to "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Spider-Man 2".
Lol, this movie actually scared me when I was about 5. By the time I watched it, the second one had came out. Lol Slimer scared the hell out of me coming out of nowhere!
@@barrywhiteofnewyork5949 Not just the main cast but the co stars as well that had tiny roles for example the lady who played the maid at the Sedgewick Hotel
For some reason the bit when Ray reverses and drives the Ecto-1 through the crowd is my favorite scene instead of the one where it unveils the car when they go to their first call🥴
I Hope they Add theme Song of Ghostbuster By Ray Park JR After The Ending Of Ghostbuster Afterlife :) there will be No Ghostbuster Without The Song RIP : HAROLD RAMIS we will Remember You 😔🙏
The film that was released in 2016 was later marketed as "Ghostbusters: Answer the Call" so there wouldn't be any confusion between the 1984 film and the 2016 film. They should've scrapped that one and had Ghostbusters: Afterlife released in 2016 instead.
I saw Ghostbusters in 1984 as an 8 year old child at NYC movie theater and, 5 years later in 1989 Ghostbuster II came out. Saw that at the of age 13 years old in New York.
Ever since I had first seen the 1984 film, I had often wondered why Ray was wearing the ecto-goggles (or paragoggles as they were referred to of the 2009 video game). (0:36) Maybe the reason why he was wearing them was to make sure that the building was clear of ghosts or any other traces of P.K.E. valences. Whatever the reason, the building was probably still condemned and no longer fit to live in since it wasn't as it seems. I had also often wondered why the cast list didn't come first of the end credits. (2:34)
Cast lists didn't always come at the beginning. Star Wars for example ends with the cast. I think this is probably because they did the main cast showing everybody
Anybody know why there's so much reverb on the music during this scene? Don't get me wrong, for that exact reason this is probably my favorite version of the theme.......but I've never understood why it was mixed like this........
Can you upload the end credits of Ghostbusters 2: ? Every time the montage comes up including the end credits I always get up and dance, I always love Ghostbusters I’m a hardcore fan 👻🚫😊
@@Angelo4436 well technically the 4th since the game is a movie it’s confirmed other than that afterlife is getting a sequel with fully taking down vigo like gozer
