This song encapsulates the late 80s. You can’t tell me y’all didn’t get goosebumps and get hyped when this song came on while the guys were going to save the day. Fucking awesome, such a simpler time without social media
@@NoName-gu9tf everything was so new back then, fresh and catchy sounds, new fast foods, video games were getting better, graphics in movies, so the excitement about what was around corner was always there, the vibe was a little more optimistic pre 9/11 especially (the sky was bluer, sun yellower also, hard as that is to believe)
lol. Well the thing is, the second movie was better in many aspects and had the potential to outclass the first movie in almost every aspect. However a lot of odd director choices as far as the story and cast went -- coupled with a choppy way of changing scenes that made no sense as well as the music disappearing at times and suddenly playing where it didn't seem to belong... all this made the movie feel like a low amateur fanmade version of the first movie. But if you have read the actual comic "ghost busters" that was retelling the second movie, then you saw what the movie actually had the potential of being. That said, they never should have included Weaver or Moranis in the second movie, nor should they have changed Janine's character. But Vigo... that guy was one of the best villains in SCI-fi movie ever.
lol same here and we see a ghost titanic and ghost people floating off the ship and the one part that gets me is when the ghostbusters are in court and the judge starts telling insults and the jar of pink slime blows up sending two dead prison ghost in electric chairs going after the judge " i gave them both the chair"
Absolute my favorite song off of the soundtrack. This is totally on my top 20 favorite songs. I had it on cassette tap as a kid and used to jam to this on my Walkman.
I used to put the Ghostbusters 2 cassette tape in one of those big "portable" boom boxes that took about 10 D batteries, placed it on my shoulder next to my ear, and danced around the back yard listening to the soundtrack until the batteries ran out.
Bobby Brown is in the movie if you watch from 1hr 7 mins after the song comes in, he is the doorman that talks to the ghostbusters as they walk through to the majors office
I love that bit about the proton pack not being a toy,in our reality it was and I wanted one and my mother told me no,I was too big for it. Oh I was one angry ten year old,let me tell you, lol. I had the ghost popper gun and ghost zapper projector gun and all I needed was Ecto goggles,a ghost trap and a proton pack and my m said no.
These comments are 50% people complaining about the reboot, 45% people being nostalgic/complaining about modern music, and less than 5% about the actual song, which is sad, cause this is a good song.
I'm glad you guys enjoy this. Never thought it would have gotten to 10K views let alone 90K+. That's great. Thanks for watching and I'm glad this has brought back some memories for you guys.
GTA V sent me here... sitting there in the car last year thinking with my friend "Doesn't GTA need some Ghostbusters soundtrack?". It started playing and it was awesome muahaha love it!
I was 2 years old in '89 so this was one of the first movies i remember seeing when it was playing on TV a couple of years later. It was pretty scary to me in places at that age but definitely a great movie, and this beast of a song is burned in to my memory for all time.
saw a couple of the brothers listening to this song on a street corner in new york city last night. they werent busting out any moves, just standing shooting the breeze with each other. of all the songs to hear randomly. completly forgot where i heard the song from. after an hour it came to me.
Say whatever you want about this movie, i love it! This music is soo damn good. When the credits roll you fell lifted up and if a movie does this its worth it.
Wonderful memories my 1st childhood heroes I can recall not being afraid cuz of their movies...........:') "We want to believe you"! " 2 in the box , ready 2 go we be fast and they be slow"! :')
@@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 more like it would get partly annoying for some people if all ghost busters movies had the ghostbusters theme song and didn’t switch it up
I just watched this movie with my kids. Their 1st time seeing it.. I havent' watched it in probably 20 years. Sure brought back some memories when I was much younger. I remember rocking this song with my little brother driving around in my car back in high school.
I remember being at the theater when this movie was playing and when the ghost busters slimed the statue of liberty this song played and everyone got crunk! fun times
@@ProfessorArt1 Awww, I'm sorry. Life can be great no matter when you're alive. Although I loved the 80s, There was a lot of bad in 1989 too. The Cold War was still on, and it wasn't fun at all to think nuclear Armageddon was 15 minutes away 24/7, there was a lot of crime, AIDS had a 100% kill rate, and the world was a lot more sexist and racist. Still, it was great.
