In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started - the iconic New York City firehouse - to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is written by Gil Kenan & Jason Reitman. Based on the 1984 film “Ghostbusters” An Ivan Reitman film written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. It is produced by Ivan Reitman, Jason Reitman, and Jason Blumenfeld. Dan Aykroyd, Gil Kenan, JoAnn Perritano, Amie Karp, Erica Mills, and Eric Reich serve as executive producers.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, directed by Gil Kenan, opens in theaters on March 22, 2024.

This is how you reboot a franchise. Not a shitty remake. Not a recast and retelling of the same story. Feels like some of the Extreme Ghostbusters has been incorporated. But get rid of Kumal Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt. I'm sure you could edit around them.

@@coryv5679 Those last 2 were duller than $5 Amazon knives. The first one was fun. As to whether they flopped? "Ant-Man" had a $520M worldwide take, the 2nd made $622M, and the 3rd one $476M. They all at least tripled their budgets, so technically not flops.
