Thank you, I decided to challenge myself a bit ! It can be done, and there are guys on there doing pretty good, apparently. It's a good change of scenery, and sometimes a lake offering limits by noon gets boring 😂
You're a trooper for being out there after having the wisdom teeth pulled. Sometimes hard to get off the couch after that. You did great though. The ice seems thick here in AB this year. One of those winters with few warm or cold spells which seemed to build some thick and strong ice.
Thanks man, yes, ice has been crazy thick for this time of year. Just got back from Sylvan, it's closing tomorrow, and there still is more than 3 ft of ice on it.
The few times I got out to ghost in 2023 we caught a small Laker and an OK size burbot. the burbot was after sunset night ice fishing, and the lake or was earlier the same day. The four times out in my 12 foot aluminum were a bust.
