@antonhuman8446 Thank you my friend, I have South African friends here, great people ! P.S. These crayfish look like babies comparing to "crayfish" where you are lol.
@@soyreeng8864 Hi, I honestly don't know the story behind these invasive species spreading into most bodies of water, I'd assume birds might have something to do with it, spreading the crayfish eggs.
@bkbowhunter1 Hey man, thanks for asking, I got slammed with work, grew my company a bit, so whatever time off I had, I spent with my family. I'm still alive and kicking, honestly I made a few attempts at filming, but nothing came out of it, so I decided not to edit/post until I have something interesting to show...I hope you are well, I know I have alot of catching up to do on everyone's videos. I will keep posting, I'm not going anywhere 💪
@user-fp5ub6vl4x I ment mishandling as in removing the hook, sticking fingers in gills, etc. Camera angles can be deceiving for distance, I can assure you that was not "across the lake". Thanks for watching.
@@soloy1610 Hi, from my experience, springtime is best, June is good too...all that being said, they are fair game all year, I've caught the through the ice before.
I agree that they should relax the rules, I can't think of anyone or any reason for that matter why somebody would try moving crayfish from one body of water to another.
They are the same thing. I looked it up for you... " Crawfish, crayfish, and crawdads are the same animal. Which term you use may depend much on where you live. Louisianans most often say crawfish, whereas Northerners are more likely to say crayfish. People from the West Coast or Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas often use the term crawdad."
what type of GoPro are you using? I was thinking of getting one for our hunts but not sure how much it would be used. You use it a lot? oh, was looking at a GoPro11 black.
I have 2 Gopro 10 black (I keep 14 batteries with me since I run them pretty much non stop, as you can see in this video, I wouldn't have catured the shot if I didn't), I also have a big handheld Sony 4k camcorder (heavy, but great for zooming in if you get the chance and also way better in lower light). The Gopros I use for first person view and close up shots (especially ice fishing). I have a Tactacam with a film through scope system that I need to move my scope forward for/sight in my gun again ( worth looking into if you wanna capture your kill shots). I tried it without moving my scope and it shortened my eye relief too much, and got scoped twice, so now I'll do it properly. Remember, RU-vid only lets you upload in 4k max resolution, so you will be ok with the hero 10 (and save some money), or you could go all the way to 12 if you want...
Hi bud.. what a great catch. I been in sylvan this Christmas, but no luck to bring out some whites. I have garmin striker 4 plus, with a boat transducer. Can you enlighten me? Did you use apps connect to your garmin? I just bought an ice transducer yesterday.. happy holiday. Tight lines
Thank you...I don't know what you are asking me to be honest...if you are asking how I captured the video off the screen, I filmed the screen with my phone and cropped/edited it into the final video.
Hi, I googled it because I didn't know where it was...that is a wolf area for sure. Speaking of wolves, I just got back from a two day hunt by Nordegg. I found alot of scat/tracks, but it looks like I missed the pack by 2-3 days. I'll keep trying once they go into mating in January.
Awesome video, although I’d try to refrain from touching trout you aren’t intending to keep with gloves as it can hurt the fish. But it looks pretty cold and without a shack I’m sure it was so understandable
Thank you. My gloves have rubber palms, and they were wet at the time, none of the fish got hurt. magazine.outdoornebraska.gov/2021/06/why-wear-rubber-gloves-when-handling-fish/#:~:text=Bauer%2C%20a%20longtime%20fisheries%20biologist,and%20they%20save%20your%20hands.%E2%80%9D
Congratulations friend!!! The deer meat will be a delicious dish on Christmas day. Thanks for sharing. 1 LIKE for the video. Greetings from Singapore. Merry Christmas!!!!!👍🔔
Thanks man, I have yet to fish this ice season, I've been busier than normal with work. Can't wait to watch some of your ice fishing, I hope you make it out !
Lol! Sorry to be so late to watch. Loved this. Congrats on the doe. Hilarious when you said that it had a nice fresh laundry smell to the clothing. It's better than smelling gross or stale, lol. But , probably not ideal for deer. However, you proved that smell and Camo didn't matter. A great day out there seeing moose, bucks and more.
Thank you as always my friend, yes, the smell remark was sarcasm hahaha. I think for rifle, any good "weather proof" clothes are good, archery maybe you'd need to watch your scent\concealment more.
Good job buddy. I agree %100, new hunters don’t need to get caught up in the hype of fancy gear and super calibers that get released every year. Tried and true clothing materials, and cartridges have been harvesting game for a long time. On a side note I’d sure of loved to see a conservation officers face if he came upon you in that outfit. lol Looks like you had a very successful season man. Good stuff👍
Thank you man, I remember all the bs that was fed to me as a new hunter regarding more expensive=better. I did my own research and my own trials and cheap Cabela's/Bass Pro/Walmart gear will do for all new hunters out there. Yes, it would have been hilarious to run into Fish&Wildlife lol. How did this season treat you?
Had a real good season. Made it out with my father a few times, we harvested a decent little white tail buck the first trip out, then a few days after we got a nice young bull moose in wmu 314 on crown land. Got him early so had the rest of the day to get it out. Great meat in the freezer, and great time spent with my old man.
@mitch7739 That's good to hear, some good meat in the freezer. The fact that you got to hang out with your dad doing it is even better, memories for a lifetime 👍

@bkbowhunter1 Well, it is a huge industry, but I think if we strive for value, bang for our buck, it's all good. Yes, social media is a vicious circle where everyone is competing to show "better" and "more high tech". Once you get caught in that whirlpool, you start acting only to impress others.
Thank you, it means alot. I have my " film through scope" camera, but I didn't install it yet because it shortens my eye relief too much without remounting/sighting in the scope again. Once I do, my "kill shots " will be way better.
