But she has no long-term path forward financially. Worse, unless he helped pay into her social security account, she will be unprotected in a workplace culture that disposes of women after the age of 35 or so. She can’t start over in the competition for the good jobs. So yes, I use the term penniless. That man financially destroyed this woman! That’s why she was so desperate to hang on. That’s why she was so emotional. She understood all along she was hanging off a cliff & he was her only safety rope….AND HE CUT THE LINE!🤬🤬🤬

Mike is right. This guy needs to grow a set. His lack of maturity is evident by the ghosting aspect. If he had 15 or so good years with her, he should have a least set her up to survive on her own. She did give him her best years. This sounds like sexpat behavior. I'm abit surprised by his actions...one would think at age 70 you would have your sheet together.

I like your term "sexpat" Unfortunately, most of these vlogs cater to that lifestyle, including this one. This video should be titled "How to pump and dump a Filipina." because that is basically what he instructs guys to do. "Leave her some money in the bank." "Give her a scooter." etc How about treating them with respect and not using them for temporary sex? That's what a man does and what a man would say to another.

What a bullshit move this was. He is giving every foreign male a bad name in the Philippines. Stuff like this spreads. I missed one relationship because the girl I was engaged to was told not to marry a foreigner, because they kill their wives. She got this stuff from her friends who read it in the Philippine newspapers that a foreigner killed his Filipina wife. They ganged on her until she started to believe it, so she left the relationship. This too will get out and make it more difficult for foreigners to find women in the Philippines.

I refuse to judge others, but I would feel obligated to: 1. Talk in person with her to discuss the situation before leaving. 2. Ensure that she is very well off financially. 3. Maintain open dialog after the breakup. I feel obligated to my pets until their last breath. My heart goes out to the lady for being victimized in that way.

I been with mine 6 years total 4 years dating 2 years married. I'm one of the lucky ones I met mine. Wouldn't trade her for all the money in the world she loves fishing, exploring, doing things not sit around and it doesn't always involve spending money. So I'm blessed with my Asawa/Wife . I will say one thing guys find a Province Lady they are down to earth and simple and easy life

Well I can say after a 23 year marriage that was unhealthy, I had to do what was best for ME. Like George, I’m sure he felt boxed in and didn’t need the female tears and drama, his only way out was to leave. I understand where he is coming from, the only thing that sours me….once in the states he should have sent her a civil email telling her it was over and that she should move on, being kind and civil. Then he can live his life in peace and drama free, him not disclosing where he is in the states was a red flag, he doesn’t want her “hunting” him down. My two cents. 😊

There is no excuse for George not knowing how important a relationship is to a Filipina in the Philippines. His actions was being totally disrespectful and heartless to her. After all you cannot ignore that his girlfriend gave him allot of emotional comfort for all of those years which is priceless! Relationships to a Filipina in the Philippines means everything regardless whether it is a local guy or a foreigner. There is no excuse to cut and run without at least leaving her with something to make her life better. No Filipino guy will touch her so she is left alone without even a child for companionship and or emotional comfort. Life is or can be tough in the Philippines!

I don’t feel like you told the whole story. You made her out to be completely clueless and unaware but you said he tried to tell her before but she just started crying and throwing temper tantrum. So he did try to tell her but she didn’t want to accept her reality. And you act like he was doing nothing for her while they were together. Everyone should realize that filipinas don’t stay with you if you’re not taking care of business while together. She lived a better life than she would have without him. And I guarantee her family benefited from their relationship because they know how to impose with immense skill. So quit acting like he was a terrible man and a coward. Agree completely with this comment. I’ve lived in Asia for 36 years (Thailand, Philippines, Japan, and Hong Kong) and unfortunately Filipinas tend to be the most dramatic when losing their cash cow. All the signals were there for her to move on well before this however she couldn’t just let the support he provided dry up immediately. We as men need to remember women are also responsible for their lives and decisions and should NEVER depend on a man for her financial support or happiness.

How cold can a guy be🤬🤬guys like this make it more difficult for us guys that are not like that and get the cold shoulder from filipina's because of guys like this. As for leaving them better than you found them isn't much of a consolation. The girl goes back home in disgrace. You may as well have just left her a $100 on the night stand for her, she gets out of the shower after a night together so you can leave without feeling guilty. Leaving them something before you leave I think would be more of a slap in the face. It just makes her probably feel cheap 🤬🤬✌🏽❤️

Guys get ghosted 24/7/365 planet wide, whenever the woman sees a better opportunity or wants out for whatever reason. His approach wasn't perfect. Perhaps he should have left some money with a mutual friend [ a few thousand USD] for her and then left. What stands out in your video Mike about the woman is at 10:40 ...:always got so emotional" ...and argumentative" "sitting in the corner crying"..."yelling at him". This sounds very much like the woman using this behaviour to prevent any real discussion about the relationship. If a man did these things to a woman [especially in the west] you would hear how he was abusing her. Men get left / ghosted all the time and all we can do is move on. If a man started contacting all the woman's friends & family, you would hear he was stalking her. Sounds like the guy took the only way out that was being left to him.

Him leaving like he did I could possibly even understand that if I knew all the circumstances. What I can't excuse at all is him not firing off an email. It is obvious what she wants from him and what he wants from her . As long as it is made clear from the beginning. The problem occurs if it is not made clear from the beginning. Or feelings change. Also, usually the man has much more money / power/ education than the female who would enter this type of relationship. George is disgusting. He most likely would never have a girlfriend/ wife that looked like that in the US. Most likely have a lot of money compared to the average Filipino but not so much with the average American. If the foreginer has no intention of marrying a Filipina within 3 years, it's better for a Filipina to find another partner. Hey Mike, how are you brother? I believe that you can still have a beautiful, committed, loyal, trustworthy, respectful, loving, affectionate relationship, not cohabitating together. You have your own place, and she has her own place. I would be a gentleman and I would assist with her expenses. She spends time at your place. You can spend time at her place. The issue is that many filipinas in their 20s still live with their parents and siblings, especially if they are still going to school. If they have their own place in a lot of cases it is just a bed in a boarding house or very small room, that you wouldn't be comfortable in. The Philippines is not like the west, most earn and live off of $200- $400 per month.

After 5 years I broke off the relationship because I didn't like where she was living,also she was getting a bit fat. I loved her at the start but hit a slippery slope.She got a house and a motorbike out of the relationship she ended up better off than when I first met her.

A lot of criticism here. There's always two sides of a story. A her and he's. None of us knows what has been going on behind the close doors in this realationship. Probably good and bad has happened. He choose to leave. That's he's choice. How that happened is none of our business. Many here so sorry for the lady. Did you guys know her? I think not. She give away 15 years of her life. So did he. In those 15 years they both Probably had a good life together in many of those years. Blaming this and blaming that. Who are us to say whats wrong or not. I think many who comment here also comes from realationships and breakups. Including me. You know what happens in many breakups right. Your partner becomes your worst enemy. Very often the do. So why so much criticism about what this man did or not do. Gossip and blaming about a story not many knows the hole truth about. That is a shame if you ask me

I've been in that exact situation. I believe George did it the right. Otherwise she's just gonna keep going and going and he's not even gonna to be able to get out the door. Let alone try to get to the Airport. She's gonna be right on his coat tail until he steps onto the plane. I know it's not the way you would do it. But I believe George did it right. And you, being the simp that you are, believed her crap and reached out like captain save a hoe to bother him. You even admitted she yelled at him, was emotionally abusive, and refused to break up. What was he supposed to do, be miserable and stay? If he wanted that kind of misery he would have just stayed married to his first wife. You are divorced as well are you not? A man is not required to stay with a woman he no longer has feelings for, if the shoe was on the other foot, I don't think you would be bad-mouthing the woman if she left. it is easy to sit in judgement of him, but he did say he tried to break up with her. i know someone who did break up correctly with the girl, but she still tracked down his social contacts and trashed him. And 70 can be old. Age is not the same for everyone. it sounds like he is just done with most everything. 71 is the average life expectancy (for the world), like it or not

Personally, I think the only issue is not just telling her once he was back in the States that he didn't plan to return. Give her a clean break, and if she persisted and wouldn't accept it, then ghost her. At the least, let her know to move on.

As a grown man, a matter of fact, a senior man for that matter, George handled the relationship very poorly. After 15 years, a person deserves a face to face conversation regarding the ending of a relationship. It's hard in itself to walk away from a 15 year relationship because of all the emotional investment. On top with the ghosting will have devastating effects. I can't imagine the psychological scaring left upon this poor woman.

Good topic, Mike. I appreciate how you encourage men to, if they are going to leave (including dying well before their lady friend), leave them in better shape than when you arrived. But in the circumstance that is the topic of this vlog, how does one remotely compensate a Filipina for the “flower of their youth?” You are setting a good example by helping and encouraging Janet to have an independent source of income and be able to support herself once that time comes-the time that comes for all. She can live her life without having to return to family because she will have invested her youth wisely and not fallen for a scammer of youthfulness-sometimes the only thing a Filipina has to invest in a comfortable old age. Good job.
