For the Debrief, would y'all ever consider doing a control experiment with your equipment. Just so we can compare the tools to how they act in "haunted" places, versus locations with no reported paranormal activity.
Who else would love to see Ryan and Shane do a season of Ghost Files "International". Showing them going to all the most paranormal places in the world.
They talked about that at one of the Live shows. iirc they said it boils down to being too expensive, and getting permission to film at international locations is also more difficult bc older locations have more historical considerations. They said it would definitely be a possibility in the future and is something they are thinking about though, so there's that.
I’d be invoking the names of Jesus, Mary, Joseph, AND the wee donkey, just to get me the fuck outta there. Beam my ass up; even if I’m ending up in Hell it couldn’t possibly be more disturbing.
Imagine sleeping at night, hearing 2 goofballs going crazy on a bell, looking out the window and seeing Shane repeatedly ring a bell while ryan stares at a wall
@@amandasnider2644Nah, that’s cool as fuck. You’d get to look over and look for activity without ever having to live in there. … I mean granted I’m a Shaniac so I wouldn’t mind living in one either but still, my point stands.
@@matthewbibby8921 as a fellow Shaniac I agree because I think a lot of people just make up that something happened. But it would still be cool to go there.
46:29 The rem-pod starts going to its highest just as Shane sets his hat on the table. Putting a cowboy hat brim side down on a table (or on a bed) would have been considered both bad luck and bad manners. As funny as it is to think it's responding to Ryan talking about breakfast, it actually happens just seconds before that.
True, but "hat etiquette" dictates that the interior not be in plain view...which kind of runs counter to the not placing it brim down; in all fairness, he should've removed it when he entered and placed it on a hat stand/coat rack...at this point, it'd be closer to a private home (especially if Ranger Campbell is still around) than a hotel (as they're the only "inhabitants" for this shoot).
Just pointing out a weird connection. I actually am not a huge fan of the ovulus as a credible source of evidence BUT, I did find it strange when Shane was on his solo, how well it described everything that was happening to him, or what he was doing, like how it said “unholy” when describing how ugly spiders were, “threshold” when he was about to walk through a doorway, “interrupt” when Ryan woke him up from his nap, “window,” and “show” when Shane was showing his face through the window. Anyway, not sure what to make of it, but I did find it oddly specific and accurate.
Yes, I am also very skeptic of the ovulus, but even my shaniac husband said that the responses for this one were very consistent to what was happening, no just saying random $hit.
i thought this as well! i don’t normally take the ovilus seriously even though i’m a believer, unless it’s very specific or on the nose. this was a great example of how it can be useful! but it isn’t always lol
I really love that Shane is a skeptic but isn’t negative about everything. He actively investigates without shutting every thing down. Serious respect for that.
He is the worst sport. He goes in before ryan gets there and actively tells his demon brothers not to show themselves, just to put ryan through his own personal h e double hockeysticks of having to not find evidence again and again!
@InsanityPlea100 he goes into places and demands them to show themselves and they don't. Makes no difference here or the goatmans bridge because it's all in Ryan's imagination so there's no hell going on except what's in his boogara brain
Idk what he's thinking but he does actively bug the demons/ghosts whatnot. Probably sucks up all the energy, the big lout. He's going along with Boog to watch him freak out. It's quite hilarious, actually. I know people who use to be able to see dead people a l Haley Joel Osment but it went away. Do they exist? Who knows. There's more we don't know than we know. Universes are giant mysteries.
Congratulations on your wedding, Shane.💍🥂 This may be the one of the most active locations yet. The way Ryan screeches "Itsy Bitsy Spider" at the top of his lungs is kind of terrifying.
He's such a good sport on the investigations nowadays. If his bromance with Ryan ever ends, millions of viewers will go into mourning. Also, Watcher would suffer, but I think they're in it for the long haul.
Hey guys! The piece of evidence of Itsy moving the ball in the couples room (12:22) Ryan says theres nothing else moving in the frame, but if you look to the right; the skirt of the dress hanging up starts to flutter, then to the left a large shadow crosses the doorway. Could you look back at it during debrief? Love you guys, keep investigating!!
Shane and Ryan -“Can you communicate with us? Can you move towards that box?” *Ghost does what they ask* Ryan and Shane-“Ok, it’s getting annoying. You’re pissing me off now. Calm down. Jesus”
This is just my librarian brain talking, but I would be so curious to know if they would get any responses in the children's room from doing a storytime. I wanna see Shane reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar to a group of ghost children,
I didn’t know I needed something as badly as I now need this. Just imagining him showing the pictures to the whole room in case of ghost children on the ceiling
I mean, there is something that follows Shane around. Heard from my friend that it may be someone similar to Lillith? They have the third eye, I don't.
Been watching this show since the beginning back at buzzfeed and I was saying to my husband as we watched last night, "you know, I kind of used to believe in ghosts but watching this over the years has proven to me that they aren't real. People looking this hard for this long would have found something by now." Its actually helped me be less scared of bumps in the night. I know if I hear anything I can just call out "bitch boy" and nothing will happen 😂. Thank you for this show - it is wildly entertaining.
Omg yas me too! I used to be deathly afraid of being alone in the dark at night. But after watching the boys trying to find evidence for so many years and turning up empty, nowadays I don't even think much of it when I walk home alone at night even during the lunar ghost month
i don't think that's necessarily true. and besides, ryan does believe they've found a lot of evidence during their shows, while shane doesnt. it's all up to what you believe and what you don't
I feel exactly the same. 😅 I even had an experience as a kid that, as an adult I look back at it and think there is no possible way that happened, yet I remember it pretty clearly lmao. I chalk it up to childish imagination. The only bumps in the night that scare me now are the ones that could mean someone is breaking in or whatever lolol
I watched a few different ghost hunting channels and the only channels that get real hits (legitimate) are people who are respectful to the space and the ghosts and they are not cracking jokes every five seconds. There’s been so many times where Ryan and Shane have gotten great clues and hits and they turn it into an ad lib to be funny. I know I may sound like a Debbie downer, but I miss when Ryan took this seriously and I know half the time he cracks jokes so that he won’t be scared but the “hunting” has shifted. Remember when the ghost call them nerds because they were going back-and-forth about a word in the dictionary, that shows you that they 100% hear you and are watching you and most are ready to communicate. And they are not going to engage you if you’re acting like a bunch of clowns and saying rude ass shit. I know this won’t be a popular comment and that’s OK but I got to speak my truth. I know I can’t be the only one who has noticed this and feels this way. 👻👻👻
I’m a shaniac but at 12:27 I’m surprised Ryan didn’t mention how there’s a very clear shadowy figure that moves by the moving toys. It’s honestly the weirdest part about that video.
@@blacktenshi7 I was looking for this comment! Whats weird is that the dress actually flicks up and on the way back stops half way as though somethings holding it so it cant be wind because then you'd assume more of the dress would've moved with the swing but it just seems like it was grabbed and moved. IMO anyway
Funny enough, I'm generally on team Boo-gara, but to me it looked like an electric fan had been held really low by a person who was crouching. The low angle of the breeze would cause the dress hem in the background to remain aloft. The balls also move more or less in the same direction (with some variation for size and the wind disruption that they would produce for each other), so it looks more like a fan blowing at them than an invisible being "playing." The shadow is probably from the person holding the fan, moving so they can keep the biggest ball moving after it rolled out of the breeze (it would catch the fan's drag better than the smaller balls, explaining why it's moving the most.)
The chest cam footage from Ryan after his face cam died felt like watching a horror movie. Every pan to a new doorway had me so anxious and prepared to see something standing there that Ryan himself never could see. Terrifyingly good anxiety created there!
I'm so sorry but if I was a ghost child and Ryan and Shane came into my room and said shit like, "It's not a trap... we're not going to kill you" and then started screaming Itsy Bitsy Spider, I'd peace out.
I’m sure someone has commented this already but I’m genuinely so shocked they didn’t point out in the video the fact that Shane found an itsy bitsy spider after being in the kids room
@@pda32301 y'all are dumb I just thought it was funny they were LITERALLY talking about the itsy bitsy spider and immediately after he encounters a small spider 🤨
I love how Shane clearly does this just for Ryan even tho it hurts his soul, just like Ryan does puppet history for Shane. Theyre just the best of friends, and i hope it never ends. Our little fox and the hound irl
We loved your episode!!!! Ryan and Shane (and their crew) are the nicest people we have ever come across. We would welcome them back into our home anytime.
Shane in that old ghost hunting show: "I want vultures to eat my body" Shane now: "I want to be remembered lavishly" not necessarily mutually exclusive, but it cracked me up
The amount of times the ovals said relevant things to shane alone and he just didn't pick up on them is hilarious to me. Ryan interrupts Shane's nap? Interrupt. He calls a spider cute? Unholy. There was legitimate banter opportunities just missed XD
@@LordBelakoru’re thinking of EVP recordings, where they would put “(possibly)” above the texts so not to claim it was 100% that noise. the comment above talks about the tool ovilus, which has the text written along as the machine says it, so there won’t be no mistake on the editors’ part (and there shouldn’t be, since the voice is robotic, not natural noises like EVPs)
My favorite bit is when the ovilus or other tool says a bunch of absolutely incoherent phrases, and then says exactly one relevant word and Ryan freaks out. It's very cute of him and it never gets old
For Debrief: Speaking of a stiff breeze! In the Ghedi video, at 12:26, you can see the bottom of the dress (on the viewers left) start moving as the ball is really getting rolling. This makes me think either the AC kicked on, a window was open, or some other air source pointed at the toys (conveniently off camera) started blowing, causing the ball to move and the bottom of the dress caught a bit of the breeze too.
Yes, i agree with possible AC, the ball moves in the same direction to how the dress lifts up but in the opposite direction to the black shadow that comes in from camera left through the door. the black shadow is strange.
Yeah there were a couple of incidents like that i noticed (the ghost called the spider unholy, nor Shane, which makes more sense since many are terrified of them)
There were quite a few really well timed appropriate words from the ovilus that Shane either completely ignored or brushed past on his solo investigation, I was surprised it didn’t grab his attention more.
You can't imagine how grossed out I was to hear 'virginity' from Ovilus when the guys were in the murderer's room; considering the murder of a 12 year old girl, the most gruesome suspicions come to mind. It was also striking how Ovilus has been really spot on about objects in this house - 'window', 'threshold', 'raid', 'ax'
It sucks that the Ovilus is the one piece of “ghost hunting equipment” that is by nature meaningless in terms of evidence. Like from the perspective of an engineer, the concept of “using environmental readings to make words” is a fancy way to say random word generator.
The sudden cut to shirtless Shane and Ryan then back to clothed Shane and Ryan made me realize they were matching outfits. It took me that long to realize that.
The audience evidence of a person walking by the window when its a WORKING HOTEL actually had me giggling 😭😭 imagine walking up to a motel 6 and just shouting "the horrors!!!"
Ikr! I work at a bar which is in a (supposedly haunted) 1780s cotton mill in rural England, 2 bartenders from different angles claimed they saw a full body apparition after we had closed and came to tell me about it the next day but it was absolutely just some guy
I like how it's a character development for Ryan being braver BUT I KINDA MISS him being so scared and we can all see it in his eyes hahaha I'm sorry Ryan😂
i feel so sorry for JJ. the poor guy chose to pop his clogs from how stressed he was from his life as a salesman, and then a couple of centuries later two guys come in and ask his ghost to do yet another sales pitch. give the guy a break!
Question for debrief: with the fact that you started investigating on the street outside, did you see any passers-by giving you odd looks?? I just imagined someone passing by thinking “wtf??” (Also congrats on the wedding Shane :) )
Seguin gets pretty dead around 10 or so. It still has lights that go to blinking after a certain time. It's highly unlikely there were people out walking.
I also love how Shane went from "Oops, that was loud" lookin around the street after ringin the bell, as if worried he's waking up the neighborhood, to "I can make some sort of jingle" while makin it ring non stop.
for the debrief: at 12:25 the dress that's hanging up in the background moves too, likely due to a breeze. at 12:28 a shadow figure moves in the bottom left corner
Also worth pointing out that the other dress hanging up more against the wall isn't moving at all while the other does. I'd expect to see some level of motion across the fabric, even if it were flat against the wall.
So let me get this straight. A hotel with a bad history becomes dilapidated and gets picked up by some rich investor. After this point, it magically suddenly becomes super haunted, and then is advertised as a super haunted hotel to come stay in. Sounds more like a person with a good business sense bought a hotel, spread rumors about the super spoopy goings-on, and a bunch of gullible schmucks fell for it. Good for the owner. I intend to do the same someday if I ever get the chance.
Not only that but one of the pieces of evidence where the clearly obvious human is in the window, someone came forward with video proof that it was them in the window of the hotel that actively has people in it. “OMG THERES SOMEONE IN THE WINDOW OF A HOTEL” they talk about that in the debrief though.
Ryan: I’m determined to prove that ghosts are real Also Ryan: *rem pod keeps going off* “okay you’re starting to annoy me, its annoying and rude what you’re doing”
During the Estes Method, could perhaps the "helper" have been "help her" instead? As in referring to Emma? They do say "girl" later on... And at 46:10, was there a whisper you guys perhaps missed? (Love you guys and I'll forever remain a Shaniac in the streets and a Boogara in the sheets)
#Debrief : *Has Shane ever had a bad dream after any of the investigations? Or even a general dream about any of the places you guys have investigated till date?*
Question for debrief: Have any of the crew gotten activity/evidence while checking out a location or while packing up? As always, a very... entertaining episode
Love how the whole point of this show is to communicate with ghosts and try to get evidence, but when the REM pod starts going crazy, Ryan says "It's getting annoying, it's a rude thing you're doing" and Shane says "Chill the f*ck out, these people f*cking people" lmaooo
For the Debrief, would y'all ever consider doing a control experiment with your equipment. Just so we can compare the tools to how they act in "haunted" places, versus locations with no reported paranormal activity?
To whom it may concern, I asked this question last episode and it got a lot of likes but it still didn't make the Debrief. Remember, a squeaky wheel always gets greased.
How funny would it be if it turned out them trying out their equipment somewhere entirely non-"haunted" gets them the most convincing evidence they've ever found
I like how the owners were probably rubbing their hands together thinking of how some famous RU-vidrs are going to advertise their haunted hotel and the first thing the boys said was "that's a really shitty little monument you've put here in memory of some person".
for the Debrief: did any of the people living around the hotel complained about you guys goofing with the bell so late at night? lol great episode as always! love you guys!
I grew up in seguin and where it's located it's mostly businesses that were closed at the time. A few houses but more than likely they didn't get any complaints.
Debrief: beginning at 32:48, when ovilus says "river", "worry", "carpet", I was wondering if you realized that the Guadalupe River in Seguin has a history of flooding. Im not sure if the hotel ever flooded, but it seems likely based on its proximity to the river. Nice show!
For the debrief: I’m a Shaniac but I want to be fair and point out that there were actually some moments in the episode where extra bits of “evidence” seem to occur. In the cat toy evidence video (12:26) there’s a shadow that moves through the doorway. The dress in the corner also moves though so maybe a window was open and a breeze moved the ball. Then in the video evidence of the moving picture frame (35:45) another shadow moves across the right side of the screen. And at 46:10, I heard a whisper in the background when Ryan asks someone to move the chair. Loved the episode and love the show. Keep it up :)
whoa idk how u caught that whisper. it's so faint but it's there. maybe it's one of the staff? but it sounded creepy and vague like all the other ghost whispers
1:09:24 the fact that we don’t have Ryan’s face cam so our only way of seeing his face is his underlit reflection while he screams itsy bitsy spider, it’s wonderful, a cinematic masterpiece
Would love for Ryan to explore his Filipino heritage. Shane and Ryan can come visit the haunted war mansions and forts, schools, and hospitals in the Philippines !
Ovilus had some good moments this episode, loved the ghost saying "wow" when Shane played with the spider, and telling Ryan he's brave for going in a haunted house lol
For the debrief: Would you guys ever consider doing a livestream investigation with just you two without the camera crew? Even if it's not the most polished viewing experience, I feel like it would be a creepy little multi-hour adventure for your audience to be in on, and might be a bit spookier watching it live without the high production :) Also for those of us that believe in ghosts, the extra crew present might be hindering your ability to get supernatural responses. Just one sjngle live stream one time would be a lot of fun!
50:24 this method (estes?) is so fucking funny and always results in confrontational back-and-forths between the boys and the ghouls lmao. Please never stop doing this one.
This has got to be one of your best so far in terms of results from the Estes and Ovilus. Food while standing in the kitchen. Girl inside the girl's room. Window while standing by the window. And then Raid repeatedly. Also, chilling words when Ryan was inside the girl's room. Kill me. Chains. Very eerie. I'm a Shaniac through and through but my partner and I, who are both Shaniacs, found this episode very exciting!
I was pretty disappointed that they cut that session off rather quickly while the Estes was saying so many interesting things but they made it into more a jokey argument again. I usually love their humor but this Estes session had a lot of potential I just wish Ryan had taken that more seriously
yeah i kept wondering why we kept hearing the word raid over and over by the Ovilus and once by shane when he had the headphones, then later shane was like, heres the raid shelter we didnt even visit and i was like WTF
The ovilus saying raid multiple times, as well as saying things like "unholy" matched what Shane was saying in the spirit box, such as "worship now." Wish they had made the connections between the two. To me that makes the devices have more credibility.
The "worship" bit also came from the axe room, which was using very... precise language to say the least. And very much came across not as the girl, but as the killer.
For Debrief: At 12:28, you can see a small shadow figure flit across the back of the wall after the larger ball stops near the chair. Pretty crazy because it looks like a small child's shadow! Team Boogara over in this house hah
@@lh687 - If not staged, they just left the window open on a breezy day. Those inflatable children's balls are VERY lightweight, so even a very light breeze could move them. The slight movement of the dress seems to reinforce the presence of wind (or someone using a hair-dryer, perhaps).
Ryan : " We're going to give you 30 seconds of silence so you can talk" Also Ryan: *Absolutely won't stop talking* He can pretend to not be as freaked out as he used to be, but we know
I saw a TikTok that mentioned being the person in the video footage just before 7:00. They even had footage of themselves peeking out at the people who took that footage. It's funny lol
For the debrief: have you ever thought about bringing the Professor with you to a location? After all, who knows history better than the ghosts who lived it?
I have always wondered if maybe Shane has some kind of problem with the professor since he's never a guest? 🤔 Could just be scheduling conflicts tho🤷♀️
Maybe the Emma ghost is Emma's dad and he's saying "help her" and "sobbing" and that's why he didn't respond to any of the names you asked for. It would make sense for a grieving father's spirit to linger in the room that held his daughter's murderer. Like he wants to get revenge after killing the wrong man. The estes method part makes more sense with that perspective. "Kill me" because he wanted to be dead after her death and "chains" because he feels chained to the room for not properly avenging her death. - believe it or not, a shaniac
I thought of this, too. Maybe it is her dad because helper can be help her when you say it fast… sopping can be sobbing coz crying or something! it was a good convo overall though 🎉
For the Debrief: In the case of Shane, ringing the bell really loud at night with no mercy (lolz) have you guys ever gotten a noise complaint? I always wonder how loud you guys are as it seems like its loud but who knows what it feels like in real life 😌
As a Texan, it is endlessly entertaining to me to see the goul boys "act Texan." I really hope they visit the Menger Hotel in my hometown of San Antonio!
